Happily, this gave us the opportunity to finally upgrade our 10+-year-old surround sound wiring with a more modern, sleeker setup. We reached out to Intellihome, they heard our ideas, added a few additional quality-of-life features that we hadn't even thought of, and got to work. Im not sure what I was expecting, but the end result exceeds even those vague expectations. The new wiring is a big future-proofing upgrade, wires are tucked neatly into the wall, and as you can see in my photo, there are zero cables hanging from the TV -- a crucial feature when you have four curious, chaotic cats. They told me that they charge $250 to come to your house, which I agreed to, but did not say that their additional charge for the service is considerably above the upper limit for similar charges in Oregon. After their arrival, I was told the one time charge for this service would be $2,500 in addition to the $250. I have to admit I felt trapped as I had waited some time for them to arrive, needed a working email for my nonprofit work and was unfamiliar with the normal charges for this type of service. It took them about an hour to complete the service while spending a good deal of time trying to sell their other services. After coming to my senses I called the next day, in part to say that if they charged such extremely high prices, they should make the the customer aware before arriving at the customer's house what they owe for their services. I felt coerced into accepting their services once they arrived given I was limited by time and was already paying them $250 for showing up. I was told that they may be able to secure a discount but would call or email me back later, which they did not do. I have since sent two emails and it has now been over two weeks and I have been completely ghosted. Additionally, I have started having trouble with my emails again which I indicated in my later emails to the company, but no word on that either. Of course I feel pretty stupid for agreeing to this service, but hope no one else will get equally scammed.
