This is the place that will have you coming back every week. The food is delicious!! Everyone that works here is so kind and nice.

We were able to attend the soft opening today and were very happy with the excellent service with a smile tonight. There owner was super friendly and attentive and the waitress that helped us was excellent as well. I really like the simple and modern decor with the red walls and beautiful floor and artwork. The bar backsplash is really my favorite. At lunch the restaurant is set up for you to go to the counter and order. I believe they then bring the food to your table. At dinner it's full service. We tried the chicken wings and pork ribs as an appetizer. I would have preferred for the dinner setting to not serve the appetizers in plastic red baskets as I thought it detracted from the overall full service dinner atmosphere and cheapened it to a lunch a bit. I think that would need fine at lunch... But not as much at dinner. Just a thought. The chicken wings were crispy and hot and caramelized in a soy type marinade and were excellent. The ribs, we were told, are used to make stock then taken out, have a different marinade added and then grilled. They were very flavorful and tender but it did seem the marinade was a bit overpowering with a smokey type flavor and covered up the pork almost completely. Delicious still but could back up as little on the strength. The pork use so tender, I wanted it's flavor to come through. I had the lemon beef dish with cabbage, green beans and jasmine rice. The sirloin cuts were cooked well but still very flavorful but I didn't catch any actual lemon flavor. Maybe some lemon zest sprinkled over it would have helped it? It was very tasty though. There beef stole the show over the cabbage and green beans but they were both nicely prepared and it was nice to have fresh crisp green beans. Yum! My husband had the pork belly. It was a good sized portion of about 1 cup served in an unglazed pot. It just had some lightly pickled cucumbers with it and rice. Along side was a little dish with pepper and lime. The lime squeezed over the pork belly added just the acidity it needed to cut the richness. We were too full to try anything else but the drinks menu had a good variety to it. Many juices and teas and boba. Overall we really enjoyed it. The service was very friendly which is a very welcome change. read more

So, 6 stars less a star for some minor service ordering niggles easily and quickly fixed. :-) Pleasant low key un-pressured atmosphere. Ribs are to die for and fell off the bone with a light prod from a fork. Menu has a sense of humor I appreciate. Pho was perfect, especially the scratch made meatballs. "Regular" bowl was huge! How on earth do they get the wings so tender? Curry flavorful but not overpowering. Boba tea also perfect and boba perfectly slightly chewy. Macarolls are definitely worth a try. Pulled pork on the bahn mi puts a dedicated BBQ joint to shame. BYOB with a very reasonable corkage fee for wine. Apparently the nearby liquor store does a discount on wine if you say you're taking it here. Host was friendly and chatty and very concerned we were happy. Excellent new place for lunch!!! The pho was fabulous and huge (and I just got the regular size). Couldn't finish it! Also tried their Macarollees. Awesome macaroni and cheese with ham in an egg roll! Ingenious! Love it. Unique to the restaurant and relish! One of the owners came by and spoke with us. What a fabulous feeling it gave me. Food was extremely good. Service was above par. Chloe was our server and she was very engaging. We went for lunch and you order when you come to the hostess stand. A little confusing at first, but not a big deal. You pay when order is taken, but actually get an end of dinner check so that you can leave a tip. From our understanding, at the dinner service, they have table service. It looks like they may serve wine but not sure. All in all - recommended it to some of my family that live in the area. I've eaten here 10-12 times and the only main dish I've had is the Mee Wontonic Pho. This is an outstanding dish - noodles, wonton and meat, and the best is the broth. It is Pho broth with a kick and a robust attitude. Egg rolls and spring rolls (beef) are very good too. read more

For Houston, the Vietnamese restaurant is delicious!! I ordered the vermicelli bowl, which came with lemongrass beef, shrimp, and egg rolls. It was really tasty and I couldn't finish the whole thing. The Thai milk tea (with boba) was extremely tasty. I wish there was more if the boba in the bottom but they nailed the flavor of the tea. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially if you want some Vietnamese food. Will come back for a short rib platter next time or maybe even the pho! read more

Love Fu Manchung. The owners care about everything that happens. It's a nice modern atmosphere with great service. All of the dishes are familiar with a slight twist and certainly a different name! For example, mapo tofu is "tofu oinkalicious." I believe this reflects the spirit of the 2 generations of that started the restaurant. They are using the VERY high quality ingredients in everything they make. I like the rice dishes and the pho dishes. Check this place out. read more

Came to eat here based on the good reviews. I got the pad thai as the girl recommended. This place calls it a Phat Thai okay, but I was very disappointed in the quantity they gave me. I dnt recommend this place at all, you have to order food on the entrance. Soo if you are a group of 6 or more it takes awhile to browse on their WEIRD menu items. So we asked if we can sit first on the table, and they said yes. I was expecting that they are going to get our orders on our table, but the lady told us to walk IN the entrance to give them what we wanted to order. (Such a non sense) the waiters are no courtesy like, clearing our table like plates that was being used, so we have space on our food that is coming. And you can see the signs such as (if you think your order takes too long you can order order on Chinese restaurant next door, Cause they said they cook their food from the scratch., and a lot of printed notes on their wall, i think it is so rude to do that. read more

Man... I'm blown away by the difference I had from dining in person to ordering delivery. Delivery was TERRIBLE . It was cold and synthetic tasting. The meat was tough and old tasting and the noodles were under cooked . The fried rice was the worst I've ever had. I could do some much better myself. It tasted like melted plastic wrap. I don't know what happened but I hope it was a fluke. The 3 stars are only because of my first experience being so wonderful. The second delivery order would of been 1 star. I stopped in because I was crazy pho and didn't expect anything spectacular but this place is not only delicious, it has THE BEST service. Seriously, most fine dining places don't even provide the level of service they did!! Stephanie greeted me and I was overwhelmed by the amazing food options so she helped put something together for me based on what I told her I liked. She was SO kind and personable. And the other young gentleman (didn't catch his name but he seemed like he might be in his teens) walked me out and opened the doors for me. Stephanie even called me out by name as I left to wish me a good day. AND- the food was amazing. Seriously....this place makes you feel like you are family. If I could give more stars, I would!!! Congrats to you all for having such stand up staff who truly care about anyone who walks in the front door. Went at dinner time and immediately was hit with an overwhelming welcome from the owner, I assume. He gently guided us to our seat and showed us what was good on the menu- what I didn't like comes next. Once we choose an appetizer, he proceeds to come over and by play on words- asks us what else we want preferably the wings( which are pretty pricey appetizers). I told him we were fine to which he replied, that's too bad, it was on the house. A quicker me would've called it and took the wings, but I did not. We ordered phorolle, a different way to eat pho. Being vietnamese, we thought it was ok- glad to try it, wouldn't reorder again type meal. For entrees we ordered the mee sow yon (which was on the saltier side, but did come out pretty tasty!) and the wok n' beef (took a little longer to come out, but was worth the wait. Pretty disappointed since we chose this place based on its consistent 5 star reviews. Service was amazing but in terms of food - not suited for the Asian palette. I thought it couldn't be too bad as we are visiting Houston, and it having a reputation for its large viet community. What a great find. This is small and quaint, but the people are friendly and they have a nice atmosphere. Nothing fancy, but enough touches to make it interesting. I had the Veggie My Pho and my husband had the veggie fried rice. I tasted the broth first because you Pho lovers know that a good tasting pho is about how good the broth is. But I couldn't salivate in the broth because I still had noodles and veggies to saturate my Pho lol... so while I'm doing all Of this, my husband is next to me saying "Yea, this some good veggie rice here (he's old school)..." he went on to say "this veggie rice is so good, even the bell pepper tastes right" .... "there is a matter Chef in the Kitchen"... now my husband is a very critical when it comes to food.. so if he says your food is good then you've got some skills. I had ordered the Macarolee and the STIR FU MANOODLES. The macarolee was pretty good could have used a little more cheese in the mac but I didn't mind it. But the main problem I had was with the Manoodles. It was basic lo mein, but it was priced equivalent to PF Changs. Fu Manchung needs to rethink the price for this item because it was meant to be only for one person meanwhile PF charges you that amount for 3-4 people portion. Not to mention the plating it felt like i was given lazily cut boiled vegetables with 3 pieces of beef. If you are going to charge me as much as PF then atleast try to make it worth it. Say whaaaa?!! This place is tucked away in a strip mall on FM 2920 and it's a real treasure when you find it! The Pho is fantastic, the broth is where it's at, not that old watered down chicken broth some of the pretenders are serving, you can taste the quality and time it took to create the flavor. Since my first visit, my wife and returned twice the following week to get into some of the other gems on the menu, can't go wrong so far, likely be there again this week! Me and my girlfriend where dying for some really good Pho and luckily FU Manchung came up because we were not disappointed. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and felt like we were valued as customers the entire time. The gentleman at the counter (who i believe is the owner, unfortunately I forgot his name) was incredibly helpful. He offer us a free appetizer just because it was our first time. He did a really good job at making us comfortable. As for the food, it was delicious. The pho was incredible and made me want to take one to go. It was so good that me and my girlfriend didn't say a word for at least 10 mins because we were enjoying the meal that much!
