No surprise at all that this fudge store has high reviews. The guys working there were encouraging passerby's to come in to get a sample of fudge and most people were grabbing a slice or two to take with them. They have the traditional flavors like chocolate, raspberry, etc. When I tired the fudge in the store, it was soft but after taking it away (and storing in a container), it did dry out. Visiting Bath from the United States. We passed by this cute little shop while walking around the shops. The two workers inside were so nice and inviting. We asked if we could try three of the fudge flavors ND with no hesitation the lady proceeded to give us samples. The three were equally as delicious and we just had to buy a slice of each. Very friendly staff here. The gentleman behind the counter offered us a couple of fudge samples. Unfortunately I didn't see my favorite flavor under the glass of chocolate walnut but the dark chocolate was so tasty that we got that. A fascinating and appropriately named shop. The kitchen where the fudge is made is literally in the shop You can see the caramel being heated up in vast copper cauldrons, then poured out to cool before being beaten into fudge, sliced and put up for sale in the shop. If it's not an oxymoron, this is healthy fudge with too quality ingredients going into the final product Free samples are enthusiastically given out - don't be shy to ask to try any flavour. I was strolling through bath and as if the universe heard my inner wishes suddenly in front of us was a man holding s free fudge sign. We were enticed as free is always good and after having the samples and experiencing the energy in the place couldn't leave without some fudge for the road. There was a waiting line out the door for Fudge Kitchen. Even in the rain! It was an easy wait as you got to look through the large windows and watch them hand crafting the fudge in the open kitchen located right at the front of the store. While you are waiting in line they will also give you as many samples as you want! The list of the flavors they have that day are on the board. The store is small, and standing room only. You simply walk up, and purchase your order. I don't usually like fudge. But this reminded me of the amazing creamy fudge my grandma used to make when I was growing up. They have been hand crafting their fudge here for over 30 years. They use only natural ingredients and fresh whipping cream, which makes it soft and creamy. They also have small batch Gourmet Fudge, Fudge Sauces, or selections of Drinking Fudge to purchase. Needless to say, I don't see how someone can come in and sample their fudge and leave empty handed. read more

Walked past the Fudge Kitchen and was intrigued so had to go in! This fudge is made in the traditional hand made way from a 1830 recipe and as we went in we could smell the next batch of lemon fudge being prepared. They had about 10 varieties in the cabinet and you could taste a sample of the sea salted caramel fudge which was lovely but very sweet (as you would expect for a slab of sugar!). We chose Rum & Raisin which is delicious and it lasts for 10 days as you will struggle to eat a lot in one go. The alcohol and fruit cut through the sweetness a little. It is between £4.50 and £5.50 for a slab dependent on the weight and for a treat I would definitely recommend. They also make lovely presents for other fudge fans! There's a reason this place is highly rated in Bath. We stopped by during our walk through town. They offer samples of various flavors. During some times you can watch them make the fudge. Wonderful variety of fudge! They also allow you to sample so you can choose your favorite before purchasing. They sell the fudge by slice/weight and each slice is around 4-5 pounds so not so cheap. Words can barely express the wonder that awaits inside this shop (Now re-named the Fudge Factory). I don't even like fudge, but the more-ish slabs of heaven sold here are enough to convert any un-believer. The fudge is made from natural ingredients, using a traditional method, and made right there in the shop. Whenever you go in, you are likely to see the fudge at some stage in its formation, from bubbling in one of the big copper cauldrons, to being poured onto the cold marble, to being shaped into rolls and cut. The result of this process is a fudge that is crunchy and crumbly on the outside, but with a centre so soft you could literally spread it on your toast. There is a wide range of flavours, including several special seasonal ones, and you're fairly certain to find something irresistible. Chocolate lovers are particularly blessed, as many of the best flavours are chocolate based. There are usually free samples of whatever they've made most recently, so you can try at least one before you buy. And buy you will, despite the high price for a slice, because one taste is never enough! read more

Free fudge! This is the first and overwhelming thought that comes to mind when I think of this place. I'm a bit of a cheapskate and this Ye Olde-style sweet shop is a little out of my price range, unless I'm really stuck for a Mother's Day present again (I am), so it's just as well that they're happy to hand out chunks of the stuff for free to random passers by. I've never really noticed much of a sales pitch going on - having said that, they probably just don't bother with me, recognising me for the freeloader I am. Still they seem more than happy for people to walk into the shop, grab a bite or two and head out again. I recommend making a detour on your next shopping trip. read more

The chocolate flavoured sample that they gave me was delicious. So naturally i bought a slice (but not any more with slices costing around £5). I chose a caramel flavour, but it wasnt nearly as nice as the sample due to it not being as fresh and the flavours were a bit strong. All the fudge here is hand made and you can watch them making it if you come into the shop. They often have yummy smaples of fudge you can try. It tastes best when its still warm. It is sickeningly sweet so a little is all you need but it is very nice if you have a sweet tooth. A nice sugar fix for busy shopping days. Its not cheap- at around £3 a slice but its one of those places you have to go to as its smells so good and tastes really authentic. read more
