I never feel the need to write a review before my trip ends, but.... I went to sleep extremely frustrated. From the beginning this trip was magical! The directions to the restaurant were very clear, a warm welcome from the host to sit by the fire while our table was being arranged was very nice. Eric our sever was ON POINT! I'm so glad I asked him about the Aguachile! Just WOW! The sauce was perfect to enjoy every detail in the dish... cucumbers, purple onion, serranos and the creamiest sauce I've ever had and the kicker... avocado crema dots surrounding the dish. It was paired with blue corn tostadas and macha chile oil (drool) the shrimp was the str of the dish and very delicate tasting! Eric recommended wine and sent over Hugo.... Hugo went through the history of three bottles he recommended and we went with Unico, a blend of Cab and Merlot. If I could explain the perfection of this wine it would be "clean". Hugo recommended the Tomahawk and we went with it. We never imagined finishing a dish this large but something THAT DELICIOUS should cost more! It was medium rare to perfection and paired with a potato purée with shishito peppers.. (chefs kiss!) we saved some room for my birthday dessert which was brought with a massive firework sparkler. Let me tell you that I don't care for dessert unless the execution is perfect!! This carrot cake was buttered on all four sides and grilled... you heard me! Served with a small side of marscapone ice cream! We also ordered panna cotta de manzanilla and if you don't know what that is .... CHAMOMILE TEA! They made a chamomile tea panna cotta!!! There was a delicious amount of fruit on the side with mazipan dust and a simple syrup. I'd lie to you if I said I didn't almost cry at dinner. There was a live band that was pretty amazing and sang happy birthday to me.. just lovely, the whole evening. Hugo walked us to their Japanese restaurant and we quickly befriended the staff and made reservations for our second night. If my review doesn't make you book a trip here then I have to tell you that you aren't searching for your peace yet! This restaurant is part of the hotel and serves complimentary orange juices, fruits, cereal, and waffles. While waiting for our food to arrive, the server brought out plates of fruit, waffles, and juices for us explaining that we could help ourselves to the items. My boyfriend and I got a chorizo omelette and girllll let me tell you. That chorizo omelette was one of the best things I tasted on the trip. Food: Personally, I wasn't too impressed with their selections which are predominately seafood and two steak options. The wine was tasty, however the downside is that there are constant bugs flying around and they fall in your wine glasses or beers. My husband had a fly fall in his beer and the waiter took it away and brought it back at the same level my husband had drank from, i thought perhaps they just replenish the same amount of alcohol that you had. Then two bugs fell in my $85 wine glass and as curious as i was i asked the waiter do you replace my glass with new wine or take the bug out. He then gave me the receipt to sign and there was no room to put the tip on the card, I asked him where can I put your tip so you charge it on the card. He said I ALREADY ADDED THE TIP. I asked him again i thought you said the tip wasn't automatically included in the bill. He said it wasn't i went ahead and gave myself 15% it's a RESTAURANT POLICY. But i asked him how can it be restaurant policy to automatically tip 15% if it wasn't forced on our original bill, what If i wanted to tip you 20% on the card which i was! I want you guys to know my family and I are generous tippers but this whole incident was about taking advantage because he thought I was drinking or simply wouldn't question it, it was sneaky. I went here in August 6, 2022. The food was by far delicious! We were a party of 13. They were very kind to open the lunch menu. The men in our group wanted stakes and carnitas with breakfast. The only positive comment I can make is there was a cute ambiance and the server was generally fairly nice. However, I cannot comment on the food because we never received our meal. We arrived around 7 pm and got seated fairly quickly. The restaurant was very busy with numerous large groups. We put in our order at around 7:15 pm. They were incredibly slow with everything, we did not get bread until sitting there for about 45 minutes. At that time, around 7:45, a half hour after we ordered, the server came and said they were out of filet for the steaks, the sauce for one of the pasta, the noodles of that pasta, and a few other ingredients. Though we were concerned he was just bringing this to our attention, he was helpful in providing alternatives for their lack of product. Though we were waiting patiently, we were getting increasingly frustrated because others were getting their meals and ours was nowhere in sight. After the large group of about 10 people, who arrived an hour after us, got their food we were completely discouraged and realized we were probably not eating any time soon. Understandably frustrated we decided to leave. We decided to tell the waiter and staff that we felt it was a bit extreme to have us sitting there for nearly two hours with no food and we could not wait any longer. The manager simply said, "I am sorry to hear that and I understand." He did not try to accommodate or mention anything about our food which gave us the impression they still hadn't even started to make our meal. If our meal was close to being ready, he would have encouraged us to wait a short while longer or reassure it was coming out next. He seemed to have no remorse or concern that we had sat there for two hours and were leaving their establishment with empty stomachs. Though this place seems promising, they simply do not have enough staff or resources to accommodate their guests. I was incredibly excited to try this place but unfortunately, I do not think we will be return. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for about 2 years now, and I was really disappointed. It is a great atmosphere, service is nice and they have a nice wine list with some of the better wines in the Valle. The food was mediocre at best. We tried several things on the menu and not one stood out. It's not a big menu, so you would expect what they do have would be spectacular. They best was the veggies on the plate and I think they come out of garden on property. Hotel is on a pretty property with several different types of rooms to choose from. Service and staff are very nice, and it's in a good location with several good wineries close by. I would definitely return to property and I'm always willing to give a place a second try. I came here on a Sunday night for dinner with a friend. The location is beautiful. They have horses and a "hotel" and a beautiful grass area to hang in. The restaurant itself is outdoors with a canopy on top to shield from the sun. Décor is on point. Impressive property. We ordered blue fin tuna, which was good, but to he honest not the best I've ever had. I ordered the pork chop, which was good but maybe a minute over cooked. Though it tasted very good still especially with the caramelized onions. My friend got the short rib, which she thought was delicious. She especially loved the broth it was served with. read more

DONT GO! Stay away! First of all on our first day we came for dinner at around 8pm and the menu was so small and had a lack of good options. The only two semi decent dishes in there where not available. (Seems to be a common thing) we left and went to another place. We gave it another chance the next day since we had "free breakfast". So we sat and ordered some chilaquiles and my husband in the meantime asked what was included in the free breakfast. The cashier told him that it was ONLY the CEREAL AND FRUIT!!!! Omg by this moment i was livid! We where already hungry so we didnt have a choice but order real food. So we ordered chilaquiles with machaca and puerco beans. THEY WHERE HORRIBBLE :( the machaca was so so dry it was as if i was eating dried grass the chilaquiles where dr as well and soggy, the beans where not even puerco beans they had like two pieces of soggy white looking bakon on them. When we arrived, there was a live cover band playing music of all decades and they were very good. We ordered a bottle of the Blablabla which is a wine on the sweet side and it was delicious! The server brought out some bread with three different salsas and we loved them all. Since we had a late lunch, we only ordered a couple of appetizers (octopus, mushrooms & duck tacos) and they were all amazing! Great/romantic/beautiful views of valle de guadalupe vineyards, one of the few places that has live band available. And as you can see from the pictures the drinks are exquisite.
