I can't even rate this Business as there is no - 5 stars. I recently purchased an Alternator for an…read moreelderly woman's vehicle attempting to save her money and help her out. I gave them the alternator from her vehicle as a core and taxes etc. the cost was around $40. The part did not work, I was informed by PJ'S that they can't test an alternator? I took the alternator purchased from them to Auto Zone in Leroy NY and had them test it and received a test receipt showing it was bad. I then had no choice but to purchase a new one as I wanted her vehicle fixed promptly so she could make her Dr. appts etc. Installed new alternator issue was fixed. I took the bad alternator back to PJ'S for a refund and requested my core back so I could receive my $40 core charge back from Auto Zone.The person at the counter started cussing me out for no reason and informed me that I was not getting a refund and take their bad alternator to Auto Zone for a core charge refund. They supposedly have a 30 day warranty on the parts they sell? I was treated very badly as a customer on this occasion who had also purchased parts from them before. I was even informed I was not allowed back in their business. All I wanted was this woman's money back for a part that didn't work and now she's out about $80 as I cannot return the bad alternator or receive a return of her original alternator used a a core. I will never use them again and will be sending them a demand letter for the money owed prior to filing a petition in small claims court against this business for the refund and return of the core Alternator. Don't ever use this business, their attitude is evil and is no way to run a business. Boycott this place. Get the word out go to Fugles Auto Salvage in Livonia NY. They always treat the customer right and stand by their parts.
