    Pork

What a great find. It's inside a market with several other small places to eat and I chose this one because of the pork. The pork was so soft and flavorful I could not get enough. The rice was yummy and tasted better than plan rice. Prices are affordable and the staff was small but quick. Really nice place to try for sure.

This arepa place is relatively new to Logan street market and is serving delicious and authentic Venezuelan food. I got the pabellon arepa and it was packed FULL! The arepa itself is on the fluffier side but I'm not complaining! They definitely piled the cheese on, so if you don't do the best on dairy products I would suggest asking for less. Everything is made to order so you can expect a short wait for your food. I think their presentation could use some work as we got two different types of plates for one order, but I won't complain as long as the foods good.

In Logan market, amongst the many great little stalls, stop by Full Arepa and enjoy some of the best Venezuelan food in Louisville. We got the Arepa shrimp - soft, fluffy arepas with perfectly cooked plump shrimp, sliced avocado and some fresh and bright salsa. Put it together as a sandwich or eat it separately, it all tastes fantastic. Definitely worth the a visit!

I'm finishing off the last bit of COVID quarantining, no longer a prisoner to my home, but stuck in a mask for a few more days. Tonight, I found myself browsing third-party delivery services for places that are part of our regular rotation. Hoping for a fast delivery, I was jonesing for something ethnic (or less American mainstream) but browsing places that are close to home. When I'm in the mood for something different, but have been relying too heavily on carryout, Full Arepa has become a go-to. Located in Logan Street Market, Full Arepa is part of what one might describe as a marketplace with small shops, a food court type atmosphere, a bar, and more. If you've been, you already know that there's really no place like it in Louisville to compare it to. If you haven't been, it's worth making it a priority to check it out. Full Arepa is an unpretentious restaurant where you order at the counter. Shared seating is available. Service is excellent. They do carryout well. Exceptionally well. Full Arepa is a Venezuelan restaurant. An arepa is a mildly sweet cornmeal patty. It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just notes of toasted corn. The texture is reminiscent of polenta that has been flash fried on both sides. It's what brings the flavors of Arepa Pabellon Bowl full circle. This dish consists of beef shredded, sweet plantain, black beans and llanero cheese. It comes with two arepas and a green cilantro sauce. The flavor combination of the sweet plantains with the savory and salty shredded beef are spot on. And although the black beans are a delicious accompaniment, the arepas dipped in the cilantro sauce are remarkable. Put it altogether, and this is the dish that I keep going back for. Pictured below is a carryout order of the Arepa Pabellon Bowl that I plated myself at home. This establishment is more than worthy of shoutout. It's the comfort food you need when you're sick, and just as extraordinary when you're not.

Located at Logan Street Market so it's street parking. Staff was nice and it took awhile to get the food considering what I ordered was already cooked except for the arepa. Shredded beef was on the salty side and the portion was small.

Great little spot for delicious food. I really enjoyed everything I tried from this place. They have some delicious Venezuelan items like cachapas that I would love to try at some point. This time, though, I ordered the pernil bowl and tres leches. The pernil meat was absolutely incredible. Super flavorful, perfect texture, and decent portion for the price. You get quite a few sides. I tried the yellow rice, black beans with cheese, and plantains with the meat. The rice good. Decently flavored and not too oily, like the other place I went to. Not too much rice either. The plantains were sweet and pretty succulent. Overall good. The beans themselves were good, but the cheese tasted somewhat plastic-y. I really enjoyed that cilantro side sauce. It was a little bit creamy, and super savory as well as flavorful. It went really well with the meat. The container was small though. I tried the classic tres leches, and it was great. Super fluffy, creamy, sweet, and just all around delicious. They top it with a nice amount of whipped cream. They also have a unique dessert called Bienmesabe that I have never heard of before, so maybe I should have given that a try too. All in all, one of the best Venezuelan restaurants I've tried in a while. Really delicious pernil, amazing sides, and yummy tres leches cake.

What a delicious meal! I am gluten free, so I was super happy to see so many GF options on their menu! After I placed my order for the Arepa Reina Pepiada and side of sweet plantains, my order was ready pretty quickly! This arepa was stuffed with chicken, an avocado sauce, and cheese, and I was in heaven! It was so savory and moist, and the sweet plantains were a perfect side to go with it! Definitely will be back to try more options!

    Bar area

The food is immaculate and I'll be a life long customer from here on, Everything is made fresh the green sauce can literally be used on everything. I can complain at all definitely a good 1st date area just because of the surrounding area being filled with other inexpensive accommodations

    Empanada Operadas Pelua

I would highly recommend this place. I got the empanada op pelua. It was cooked fresh after I placed my order. They give you a beeper so you can shop while you wait for your meal to be prepared. The empanada was served with a dipping sauce that you want to make sure to drizzle on your empanada. It was very tasty.

These arepas were fantastic!! We enjoyed every bite! They are also gluten free so a bonus for anyone looking for such! I definitely recommend trying both sauces! Yum!

We were leaving for the second leg of our trip and were running late, as usual. We decided to run across the street for a sit down lunch, what's another hour? Two smiling faces greeted us at the door. They offered a high top but my hip was absolutely not digging it nor a table up the flight of steep stairs. Once seated, we were greeted promptly and had water in front of us almost immediately. We each ordered soup and then a sandwich to share. I had the Sopa de Pollo . A hot bowl thick with thin noodles and lots of chunks of chicken. The chunks were too big to eat without being cut up which was a challenge in a bowl of broth. It was so hot that I had to wait a while to try it and even then had to blow on it. It was delicious. Unless the soup is your meal, order a cup. I still took nearly a pint of soup back with me. My husband ordered the Frijole Negro - a huge bowl of black beans that was served with a large pile of raw onions on top. Like the chicken soup, it was burn your mouth hot and a very large serving. He said it was good but he'd not order it again. Moving on to the sandwich. We had the Cubano. I'm not even going to describe it - just trust me - order the Cubano. Do not look at the rest of the menu - order the Cubano. Don't even bother looking at the ingredients, just order the Cubano. Have you ordered it yet? Do it already. The Cubano is huge. We split one half and had the other when we arrived at our next stop. Do consider that we had soup first; otherwise, we'd have eaten the whole thing. The accompanying plantain chips were worthy of their own review. They were wonderful. Who knows if and when we'll be back to Louisville but when we are, La Bodeguita will be the first place we stop. BTW, have you ordered the Cubano yet? What are you waiting for? Put your phone done and order it! Enjoy!!

!!! NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT ALERT!!!…read more Wow. This is legitimately the closest I have been to tearing up at a meal. My husband discovered this place when he was perusing on Google Maps looking for something else. This was the happiest accident and I could not be happier we visited. I am from Venezuela and this is place is legit. They have foods that other Venezuelan places in the area don't offer, and varieties that are authentic and far better (the empanadas!!). I got the mandocas (plantain and corn horseshoe-shaped fritters), cheese and potato pastelito (like a cross between a pizza pocket and a pierogi, but better in every way), arepa pabellon, and a beef empanada. Everything was sublime. These empanadas are different than ones you may be used to, since they are corn based instead of wheat based, making them many levels better than you can imagine. It was very nostalgic experience. Even without the nostalgia, the food is that good, and so worthwhile heading over here. There's so much more on the menu I wanted to try. Guess I'll have to come back! The staff was wonderful, and the atmosphere inside was joyful, with beautiful murals. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

Hell, we're still sussing out the Colombian vs. Venezuelan arepa rivalry. But the arepa pabellon at Arrechissimo (this apparently means "awesome" in Venezuelan Spanish) wins the prize for us so far, and it's not even close. Even if it initially seems expensive at $13.50, it is a near-miraculous little food item, regardless of one's knowledge about arepas generally. It's perfect in its simplicity and greater than the sum of its parts: Wonderful white-corn flatbread style rolls with a great balance of fluffy and crisp, flavorful shredded beef, fried plantains, black beans, and melted mild cheese. Add the spicy cilantro salsa, which is just about perfect in its own right. By the way, despite its compact size, the arepa pabellon is plenty filling. Arrechissimo is just a food stand with maybe four outdoor tables. The setting in quiet Deer Park is pleasant and comfortable enough, when the weather is reasonably nice. Unfortunately for us, Arrechissimo is far enough away that carryout is not a suitable option during those too-many months when Cincinnati weather is not so nice. TLDR: Love it. Visited today for breakfast with a friend, and it wasn't busy when I arrived, but was surprised at how many people arrived as we ate.
