What an incredible bookstore that you might be able to drive right past without knowing it was even there! I'd heard about Full Circle through a friend, and when I stopped in, I was shocked at how expansive not only the physical size of the store is but their range in book selection. The store is beautifully decorated, and it's clear that the staff is very knowledgeable about local interest and insightful recommendations. Updating my review from the holidays. I like to visit this serene spot when I'm in OKC. I don't always purchase something but I made up for that on my last visit. :) I took a stack of books to the café where I enjoyed a great green tea with blueberry, ginger, and lime syrup. (They have so many flavors!) Enjoyed the tea and my reading so much! I ended up buying the stack I was perusing. My friends hyped this place up as they recently experienced the Twilight-themed menu of coffees - which made them late for Friendsgiving, haha. They have every genre you could think of. It did feel very magical as they have a cafe, fireplaces, little reading nooks, and they seemed very involved in the community. This is what a bookstore should be. It's a local, non-chain shop located in 50 Penn Place off of Northwest Expy. You enter into a small nook with lots of wood tones, a small cafe and room after room of various book genres and cute sitting areas. They even have a beautiful fireplace that was lit. Prices were not as cheap as online retailers and they did not have a huge selection of hard covers but it's important to support businesses like this so I don't mind paying retail price. The staff was cool and on weekends they have live music so it's a place to hang out. read more

I visited here during my vacation earlier this month in OKC. I enjoyed my visit. I believe it was on a Saturday, early evening. They had a live band at the bookstore that evening and a packed room full of patrons. They offer a wide selection of books here. Unfortunately, the local authors or books were in the section where the band was performing. They also have a nice cafe here. A variety of hot and cold beverages are served along with sandwiches and pastries. Staff is friendly and helpful. A staff member helped me with books I wanted to browse. He had good customer service skills. I like the feel and look of this bookstore. It has an old school and new school twist to it. I would definitely return here when visiting OKC again. read more

I love this bookstore. Hands down my favorite to go to. First for me, it has so many options and I love just walking through and looking at everything (and they usually get me to buy something. Then for my family, it is so nice. They have book readings on Saturday mornings for kids at 10:15 AM and I'll take my son for that and then, whether on Saturday or other days throughout the week, we will stay and play with the train they have in the kids area. I have made three attempts to visit this cafe, it has a really cozy vibe and it's on my route home. The first visit went fine, I had a great coffee and snack. The second and third time, the cafe was closing for some undetermined amount of time, maybe 10 minutes, maybe an hour, whatever. Lunch is no longer served after 2pm, and I guess you'll just do without if you had a busy day because it's only pastries for you. The barista did not make any exceptions, her shift was over and she had to get out of there. I try to shop local but local doesn't care. This bookstore is not flexible or accommodating. They have odd hours, are understaffed and need some help. I guess it's the Starbucks or Scooters for me. read more

I've bought almost $200 worth of books and yet every time I go in there, the same woman is always rude to me. Mediocre is the best way to describe the cafe experience. I absolutely love Full Circle books, so we decided to grab a bite to eat there and see what the cafe is like. It took forever to order and get the order out to us (it looked like they were understaffed). The gentleman that took our order was very kind, and it was clear he was doing his best, it's just incredibly hard to take orders, make the food, and bring it out by yourself. Very cute indie bookstore -- I liked all the vibe, with floor to ceiling books and ladders in every room. The kids area was cute also, with a train table that looked great for entertaining small kiddos. Husband and I both bought a book -- I picked one from the staff recommends section. Chatted a bit with one of the women that worked there was very knowledgeable about the sci-fi/fantasy genre and gave us some good recommendations as well. Didn't try out the little cafe inside, but looked like it would be a nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee and read a book. Great spot for book lovers in OKC. read more

My favorite bookstore in OKC! I can spend hours here. Whenever I decide I need to own a book (and not just borrow it from the library), I make the effort to purchase it at Full Circle. We love Friday night acoustic, the coffee shop, the book groups & readings. Friendly, friendly staff. There's a customer appreciation card and a yearly Christmas party where good customers get 20% off. Unfortunately this bookstore has not kept up with as well as you would have hoped. The store isn't kept stock with as many books so you wind up being told more often then not that they can order it for you and you can come back. I love supporting independent bookstores but they have to have what I need. But the cafe was really where this place has dropped off. Twice in going I was told there was no food (not Covid related) and the coffee tasted like clearly was left out the night before. When told how bad the coffee was the barista shrugged her shoulders. I grew up loving this place but recent visits have shown the customer service, inventory, and overall appeal have dropped considerably. I wish I had something better to say. read more

My daughter lives in OKC and I wanted to gift her with a book from an actual brick and mortar bookstore so I called to inquire if the title I had in mind was in stock. The phone was answered immediately by a knowledgeable individual who told me he thought he had several copies but would I hold a moment so that he could make sure? Payment was accepted over the phone and I asked them to leave it behind the counter so that me daughter could come in and pick it up. The man helping me suggested it would be nice if it was gift wrapped and offered to do it; I hadn't thought of that but was delighted by the nice touch. My daughter was very surprised and was charmed when she picked up the gift below. Atmosphere: I've been here a couple of times to get work done on my computer and I've been here just browsing the shelves and chatting with family. It's comfortable, quiet, and there are a few places with outlets should you require a charge. Food: I never expect this kind of quality from a tiny cafe, especially when the cafe is in an old abandoned mall. Boy am I pleasantly surprised! I had the garden salad or something of the sort and my my my, stinkin delicious. If you're in the goat cheese and dressing made from the sweat of angels then you're in for a treat. I've been visiting for decades (yes, decades), and never tire of the warm, 'old' bookstore charm - comfy chairs scattered about in snug nooks, coffee on offer, high shelves and low shelves, of wood, of metal, pleasingly not generic or matchy matchy, and fireplaces! Sit in this room, amongst the travel books, enticing you on exotic adventures, and let the crackling fire help make your decision. Sit in that one, near the other fireplace, while considering the various histories and biographies. The books are categorized in a helpful, sometimes quirky system, with many local and regional offerings, along with a 'staff recommendation' department. I can't say I normally enter with a goal in mind; simply moseying amongst the eclectic offerings is enough to build a pretty extensive mental wish list - so many titles, old and new, that I haven't read but suddenly need to. The cafe is worth investigating as well, and remember to get a loyalty stamp card - you'll fill it up before you know it. read more

After living in OKC for 5 years, I just made my way into Full Circle for the first time, to study. I can't believe it! Love at first visit! First, the atmosphere is wonderful. Roomy but plenty of seating options. The walls have floor-to-ceiling bookcases with rolling ladders. Fireplaces are on in the fall and add great ambience. Nice mix of cover music without vocals. Second, the latte I purchased here was very good. Barista very friendly, and the ONLY place I have encountered in OKC that does not up-charge for a non-dairy option in lieu of milk in the latte!! (spent $4.12 including tax for a 16 oz) Several groups and individuals were in and out during my time here to play board games, meet up just to chat, study, or sit and read. They also have wine and food options in the little cafe. I will be back regularly. read more

However, when I walked into full circle, I swear I got teary-eyed. It is the coziest, most perfectly quaint bookstore. It's got local finds, a fire place, those rolling ladders like on Beauty and the Beast that I always dreamed of riding. They even have an awesome rewards program to take advantage of. I don't have kids myself, but there is a cute kids section; I have been told by my sister-in-law that they are very kid-friendly. Can I get married here, buried here, or just simply hang out? Full Circle is like...the Mary Poppins of bookstores. Full of nooks and crannies, you can find many a great book, as well as plenty of spots to curl up and read. They have an excellent selection, and I've never had any trouble finding something I'd enjoy reading. There isn't a ton of parking out front, but I believe there is some sort of garage around back you can park in? I've never had trouble finding a spot though, even with the Olive Garden next door! This is the oldest and largest independent bookstore in the OKC metro. Beautiful aesthetic with ceiling-high shelves, lots of nooks and crannies, rolling ladders, three fireplaces, wood floors, native and/or Oklahoma art, and a café. I first discovered Full Circle Bookstore when I started attending the weekly Spanish conversation groups on Tuesday nights. Before COVID, the store had a stacked events schedule with signings, book clubs, live music, poetry open mic etc. Some of my favorites include Harry Potter Trivia night, New Ink (introduces local authors and their books), Star Wars Thrawn and Pioneer Woman book signings. Full circle is all about community and feeling welcomed. It's like your home away from home. I spend hours here discovering new books , sipping on a hot beverages, and talking with locals about books. The staff are friendly, approachable, and professional. I particularly have enjoyed staff recommendations on display or by simply conversing with staff. The owner and managers purposefully hire staff with different knowledge and taste in books. If you cannot find what you are looking for in the store, most of the time they can special order it for you and have it in 3-5 business days. They have an excellent rewards program called the third floor stamp card. Every $10 you spend you earn a stamp and when you collect 20 stamps you get $30 spend in the store. That's like 2 paperbacks or a hardcover! Another service they offer is free gift wrapping. Covid precautions include required masks for staff and customers (unless eating/drinking food in the cafe), social distancing encouraged, surfaces like doors, counters, and writing utensils wiped down with disinfectant, free disposable masks and hand sanitizer provided at each entrance, plexiglass barriers at the register, curbside pick up, and finally free shipping for orders within the United States while the pandemic lasts. The store has rotating displays that keep up with the current times. Some of my favorites include a Native American history month display, a racial equality and anti-racism display, and holiday displays like Halloween. The store is LGBTQ friendly. They have an LGBTQ+ book club as well as a LGBTQ section. There are so many things I love about the store that I'm probably leaving out. I highly recommend visiting and exploring this special location in the heart of OKC. PSA: Bathrooms are located in the mall that's connected to the store. Walk down toward the water fountain. The bathrooms are located in the second hallway behind the fountain. There's a men's and women's restroom on either side of the elevator. A family restroom/gender neutral bathroom is located just a little further on the left in the hallway past the wedding cake shop. read more
