There wasn't a lot of thousand island dressing on it too, which made the sandwich dry. The chips that were served were clearly out of a bag as they were cold, which made it seem like I could have just gotten a bag myself. I would have paid a few dollars extra to get something fresh like fries. While spam comes from a can and I know this, my wife's chicken quesadilla had chicken that was clearly from a can - it was sopping wet, and the meat was very chunky, and very salty. This made us worry the rest of the food may not be very fresh. While we did have that experience, I will say the pretzel bites were really good and did seem fresh, and they were sourdough! However, Levi and Heidi really turned things around for us by being personable and knowledgeable. The winery was having a special, selling warm spiced cherry wine in a mug for $10, plus you keep the mug. Tasted like Christmas in a mug- highly recommended. There are multiple places to sit indoors and out. There's a beautiful lookout around the side of the building, but be aware that wandering around with your wine is not permitted.

The counselors were amazing though! It made me so sad that I went home early. Oh also- the bathrooms are awful and the cabins don't have ac. Interlochen if you read this please fix some of these things because I had an awful first camp experience.
