This is the best place in the entire city (maybe even country). Everyone makes you feel like you belong, they are motivating, challenging and the best hype team!!! Wouldn't want to spend 45 minutes anywhere else!

What a fun workout! I've done spin classes in the past (a VERY long time ago) but my first experience at Full Psycle completely blew it out of the water. It genuinely felt like being in a club, great lighting and music. From the moment I walked in the door everyone who worked there was incredibly friendly and gave clear instructions of how class was going to work and helped us set up the bikes properly. I purchased a Groupon for a pack of classes because I wanted to make sure it was something I actually enjoy before joining. The two owners were just as nice to me as if I had paid full price. You know sometimes when you purchase a Groupon and you walk in a place and get eye rolls? Not the case here. They provide free cycling shoes (which scored major points with me because those can be quite costly), lockers and even have a shower on premises. Our instructor Melissa was fabulous and led us through a hard, but upbeat workout. Before I knew it 45 minutes had passed. Melissa even has a class called hip hop Wednesday's that I am looking forward to attending after my semester ends. Overall a really great experience. I look forward to taking more classes here after my Groupon expires. They offer a discount for students and informed me they would be adding more classes to their schedule.

I should start by saying I don't like "spin"... BUT, Full Psycle is sooooo much more than a normal/traditional spin class!!! What do I love about it? * 45 minutes fly by, burning 500-600 calories * fun!!! * everything can be modified * full body work out * staff and instructors - Shannon rules! Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious. She motivates to me to push through continuously. I attend her Tuesday & Thursday 5:45 am classes and Saturday 8 am. AND she takes song requests for her awesome playlists!!! So, long story short - I'm hooked!!!

Full Psycle is THE BEST full body workout around and it's fun!! This place has every detail covered; generous class schedule, enthusiastic and helpful staff, top notch bikes AND cycle shoes (included with ride), motivating sound and light system, and the chilled aromatic towels after class. Ahhhhh, those towels are sooooo refreshing!!! A typical 45 minute class is comprised of speed, hand weight, and choreographed elements. I generally burn between 515-615 calories during a single ride. My fave instructor is Shannon. Your first ride is free. Why not try it? I'm sure glad I did.

I visited Full Psycle this past weekend to give spin class a shot. I have done other spin classes before, mostly at the YMCA and UNF when I was a student. Although it isn't my preferred type of exercise, it still is very fun. Full Psycle felt like a very upscale version of a spin class. The environment was trendy with a nice selection of shirts and hats that were stylish. Everything was new and sparkling. Staff was very helpful and attentive. You do not need your own spin shoes for this, come with socks and Full Psycle will provide specific shoes for you that interlock into the bike. The class itself was fun; there are monitors that have everyone's exercise information: RPM, energy used, and power. I struggled keeping track with the monitor. Often I kept my head down, so it would have been nice to have more verbal cues to know when the screen would display our numbers. I'm sure if I was a regular, I would get the hang of this. The attention to detail with the lighting is great, too. It's like a light show during class, but not in the sense that you would get a headache. The lights often match with the music which in turn matches with the pace, making it nice and synchronized. Our instructor had a lot of energy and encouraged us to keep going (even when my legs felt like quitting). At the end we were provided with cool scented towels for our forehands - a nice touch.

Best spin classes in town. I'm not exactly the person who loves to work out, but I actually look forward to going to a Full Psycle class. It's a work out and a party. They do a really great job at keeping things fresh and fun so you don't get bored. First class was free and then I was hooked. Bonus, it's family owned and operated!

They have a pretty good deal when you download their app to get two classes for $20 bucks. Shoe rentals are free for the first class, and under $3 to rent for each class after if you do not own cycle shoes (like myself) Thrive cycle is in the San Pablo and Atlantic blvd shopping complex, same shopping center as Fresh Market. Attending class at 5:30 or 6:45 pm can be tricky given the location + city traffic. If you plan on booking a class, allow extra time on your route plus 5-10 mins to get your shoes changed, and your bike set up. I live in e town and it takes me almost a full 30 mins to get to class at those time slots. After my initial 2 classes for $20 deal. I signed up with the ClassPass app so I could do drop in visits here. That also has been a great deal if you are wanting to take various classes at different businesses without committing to one singular location and/or business. I like that Thrive accepts both options. The staff here at Thrive have been extremely welcoming and kind, and very helpful if traffic got the best of you and you are running just a few short mins behind schedule. The girls will have your cycle shoes ready and waiting for you on the counter, and offer to walk you into class with a flashlight to help you set up your bike quickly so you are not fumbling around in the dark. Some classes use weights for a few songs during your 45 mins session, and some classes have zero screen/tv showing stats and times. I like the flexibility of all 3 options of classes you can take. If I Had to pick between a classic, thrive, or power 45 min class as a favorite, I'd probably choose thrive bc they turn the screens off for this and it's more of a "dance on your bike" kinda fast paced work out that goes by so quickly and you'll easily do 6-7 miles on your bike in that 45 min time slot no problem. But realistically I like all 3 different styles of classes. This is the first time I've taken a cycle class in almost 4 years. I'm still the slowest in the class, lol but no one cares (or maybe it's just me that doesn't care) If you are worried that you will be on the struggle bus in one of these classes, don't fear. Again the staff makes you feel comfortable and right at ease. My first two classes I did notice a couple of the popular located bikes to book are a little loose on the handlebars 24/7 just from overuse and could use some tlc - but honestly that's normal for most gyms/cycle classes. The weights used in class are always sanitized after, as well as the shoes and towels. I do like how clean everything is here, esp while we are entering "sick" season, and covid seems to be going around yet again. If you are interested in attending a class here, all you need to bring is water or your drink of choice. Shoe's, towels, and a locker is provided at thrive.

Matt Thornton is the Head Strength Coach/Program Designer for the Hyperswole Sports Performance Gym. HyperSwole also has Chris Philips (ONNIT Certified Trainer) and Sean Rutgerson (Head Coach for Jacksonville Axemen/USA Hawks Rugby League Teams). All the coaches are always available and approachable for Fitness Programs, tips, personal training. Hyperswole is not your typical gym. From a quick glance you may think that the gym is intended only for the hardcore fitness\gym fanatics. While the gym does have dedicated members, HyperSwole Sports Performance Gym has a program for every one regardless of age, fitness level and goal. The daily group fitness classes (that can be signed up online/mindbody app) are also posted on the main gym monitor. KidSwole Classes for ages 7-14 are held M,W,F as well a new offering for Senior fitness classes. You always have the option to follow your own workout OR work with one of the coaches to develop a custom tailored workout to meet your fitness goals. All of the artwork around the gym is by Coach Matt. It adds to the uniqueness of the gym and compliments all of the familiar gym equipment. There are rowing machines, xbex bikes, LifeFitness Resistance machines, cable cross-over machine, dumbbbell free weight area, squat and press rack area, and a dedicated deadlift area. Also available are heavy punching bags, weighted/fitness balls, kettlebells, boxes, monster tire/hammer, plate weighted push sleds and even an indoor basketball hoop! As the COVID-19 Pandemic is top of concern with many, all of the gym members and Coaches follow the best practices of proactively sanitizing equipment before and after use. The small group classes also allow to spread apart with space for each participant. While the gym can be busy at times, it is never overly crowded to the point where there is a concern or you have to wait a long time for equipment or machine. This is especially true for typical the peak times of other gyms or fitness clubs. HyperSwole also allows members to additionally sign up for 24 hour gym access (for those who prefer to work out on off hours or at their convenience). Definitely worth a trial! I really love this location…read more Atmosphere: The staff is attentive and friendly, and the gym community here is considerate! I literally left my ring on the gym floor today because I took it off due to trying to do pull ups. It was a silver piece I bought in Greece, and I got so nervous that I wouldn't be able to find it. However, when I returned to the gym, someone had already given it to the front desk about it and they had it there waiting for me! I have also literally never felt uncomfortable working out there, and I am a woman that likes to lift weights and sometimes wears more revealing clothing, so ... that's a really good thing. Machines/Workout Review: Also, they have every machine you could dream of. Seriously. Even at 5pm, peak busy times, I can always find the machine I need. MAYBE I have to wait for ONE person, but even if I have to wait, there's usually another machine that works on the same muscle. I have left this gym to do group classes and other stuff because sometimes it's nice to be motivated by a group, but to be completely honest? If you know what you're doing and you're consistent, this place is the best! I also noticed they changed where the personal training section is located, which was a great decision. I now actually use the upper body machines and they were quite useful. I'm glad they're no longer stuffed away in a corner. Negatives: My ONLY complaints are the hours on weekends and space for more unique workouts. I personally feel that 7pm closing is a little too early for the night owls on the weekends! Why are you assuming that I have weekend plans... I have frequently worked out right until closing on Friday and Saturday. Additionally, I am trying to get into calisthenics and I feel like they just don't have a lot of materials to let me do more interesting workouts. I would really appreciate a kicking bag and some additional bars for practicing l-sits and what not. I'm not taking off stars though because I feel like for the price of the gym, it's worth it. It's also not the most social space, but again, people don't really come here to make friends.

Asana bills itself as a wellness center and I am not sure why, however, they are a nice gym. They have good hours, although they recently changed them. I went four times during my free week pass and it was never busy. I did go during the middle of the day, but other local gyms have more traffic at midday then Asana. The locker rooms are pretty well kept. You don't need a lock as all lockers have a personal code you can choose. It seemed clean, but I did notice there are no facial tissues. Now, this isn't a deal breaker, but if you want to stop the spread of germs it is a good idea to have some tissue boxes spread through the gym so you can sneeze or cough into. There is a sauna and several shower stalls to use. I did not use them, but they seemed like the were clean and in working order. The gym itself seems very new. The free weight area is large and well organized. They have barbells that go fairly high. The circuit machines are plentiful and it seemed like they have most of the most popular machines. I did notice that there is no squat rack inside. That is a pretty big and glaring missing piece of equipment. Outside they have an artificial turf area where you can squat, deadlift, etc, but it is a bit cramped as it is underneath metal stairs. If you want to do a standing shoulder press you have to move as the stairs are right above you. Not a deal breaker, but a bit strange considering there is no squat rack. Outside they have some old large tires. You can use them for pyrometric jumps or you flip them. They also have sledgehammers so that you can swing and hit the tires to work out your core. They have a push and a pull sled and about 30 feet to use for that. I thought it was ample space. They used to have a spin room for classes, but it has been converted now. It now houses more free weights, smith machines, and benches. The membership rates seemed very fair to me. There were three tiers. Just the gym, gym and two amenities, and gym and all amenities. The cheapest tier is about $10, then $20, then $30. You can also pay in full to lock in a rate. The rates seem pretty good, but having been around a lot of gyms and reading other reviews has me wondering. Many people complain about cancelling their membership or being contacted to show up. I hate dealing with membership services for something that should be simple, but then again I do not have any first hand experience with that as I came in as a guest. All in all the gym is pretty good. A few strange choices in terms of machines or placement, but nothing terrible. Besides Mia I thought customer service was pretty okay. Mia at the front desk is super helpful and nice.
