I loved the friendly staff and owners that I met on my first day in! They greeted me with open arms and helped me realized my health goals and what I need to achieve these goals. The workouts are GREAT! Every week is a different routine and they throw finishers too at the end of every workout. If you can't do a certain circuit due to injuries, they also offer modifications and work with you. They've now added BOXING!! Boxing is now my favorite part! Great cardio workout, help build stamina, and build self confidence too. The trainers & staff are great!! They're a fun, outgoing, and respectful group of individuals who push you to strive harder. I've lost more than 20lbs and counting! I'm more confident in myself, feel great, my asthma hasn't been a nuisance, and the trainers have also helped me find ways to ease my plantar faciitis. My goal is to fit nicely (and not bulging) in my new size 8 clothes, and maybe even get into a size 6...but it's not just about the sizes, it's leading a healthy lifestyle and enjoying my workouts at ABP. Lots of times if I don't know where a machine is or how to use it, there is some near by you can ask and willing to help or show you. When I go the Gym Jax, I'm more motivated and ready to put work in than I have ever been. I'm greeted every day by a smiling staff member. It's the little things that mean the most. Plenty of equipment and machines so it's not a long wait on one particular machine. If it's something you really want to use most likely someone will let you work in with them. I've never been to a Gym that makes you feel like you belong than this one. It's my happy place and I look forward to going every day.

They offer different levels of workouts depending on your activity levels. I started out on the lower tier and have already worked my way up to being able to run and jog -- I am really seeing a difference. The workouts are pretty intense but it's a take-it-as-you-can style. They never make you overwork yourself or do things your uncomfortable with. I really enjoy the group setting and having the coaches giving direction because it encourages everyone to keep up the pace and to work as hard as they can! It can be a little intimidating but now that I've gotten into a routine here I don't see myself stopping. I'm seeing changes in my stamina and my body already and I'm looking forward to challenging myself even more as time goes on. I recommend coming in and consulting with a coach to get started, they even offer a free class or two if you're new!! No reason not to come give it a try.

I tried to cancel after checking out a 28 day trial (I kept going for a month after because 28 days wasn't enough for me to be sure). With my crazy schedule, I was barely getting there once a week due to the time frames of the classes. I always had to go to PF anyway so I tried to cancel. Intead of advising how to cancel they tried to talk me into staying and charged me another $40 week rate AND some BS "annual fee" of $40 that next week. So instead of canceling cause I NEVER got to go, they got me for $80 more. I requested some back and was told I didnt send the email in time. Butttt she never communicated that when I was asking to cancel- just kept seeing if I would stay. The workouts were fine, nothing better than Ive done at Body Precepts or local fitbash, or HIT events. There word choice for motivation is lacking as well. Instead of "u got this, I see u showing up and putting in work" type sayings it was more "do better this round, dont slack on urself" - which isnt a big deal- but just different from other classes I've taken so keep that in mind too if u try em out.
