That's crazy, and I'm pretty certain they don't tell anyone that when they sell them a new one - if you don't get rid of it before ten years, you have no ability to have it serviced (since the diagnostic systems are manufacturer proprietary, independents can't or won't buy the systems). I have a great watercraft I've owned that has low hours (less than 200) and want to have it serviced and maintained, and they won't. I can't believe the brands they offer even allow this.

Others have posted before me to bring a mechanic or the investment would not be worth it, is exactly what happened to me.This is the first time I had to hire legal counsel. Purchased a 1998 BMW 740I In February 2026 with 170K miles on it. I knew what I was buying a older car with high milage. What I didn't know is that they cleared the codes, send videos of test drive like it purred like a kitten. Found out after it was flat bedded to me in transit it was a kitten from pet cemetery. First day driving it I texted Robert and Dimetar. Asked them if they had the same issues I was having. Check engine light, hard shifting, stalling when I put it reverse, rough idle, oil leaking, radiator coolant all over the driveway. Their responses back where juvenile to say the least. This is not my fist rodeo dealing with companies like this. First issues check engine light + P0173 codes lit up the scanner The valve cover gaskets, spark plugs that where drowned in oil, ignition coils, radiator + reservoir had to be replaced. Second issue, the constant engine stalling (warmed up + when you put it in reverse) the hard idle was the catalytic converters that had failed. Had to be replaced I bought it to keep it not junk it. Third issue, Trans Failsafe Prog, car went into transmission safe mode. Called BMW of Miami where the car was serviced for 26 years no issues or replacement other than normal maintenance. I topped off the transmission fluid purchased from BMW when the catalytic converters where replaced. 4th issue the only issue that was disclosed was the radio did not work. Vague as that statement was the amp was shot, the radio, + wires + speakers had to be replaced. Global auto exchange took no accountability after I received videos on how well the car ran, no codes, complete 180 from when I received it when I negotiated the purchase price. If I would have known about the issues I had to pay from the previous line items above that costed me over 3k NON OF THIS WAS DISCLOSED PRIOR TO PURCHASE. That my friends is deceptive advertising + bad business. Read the other reviews on here. Bring a mechanic have the car inspected before you sign, do not take there word for anything they are not a reputable dealership. Again this is my experience I am sure they dont do this all there customers or they would not be in business. Just use my experience of not getting it inspected, buying as is by a company who sent videos + documents of the car as it was not. Buyer Beware of Global Auto Exchange.
