He was hairless to the point you can see his bones. I paid $122 which includes de-matting but he has no hair so what was departed? Literally shaved him bald. I never received a call asking for permission to cut off all his hair. My dog doesn't even look like himself. Every time I look at him I want to cry because I'm so angry. I called to cancel his future appointment and i was asked what happened and did I want to go to another location. No THANK YOU! Will no longer be utilizing their daycare or boarder services either because I don't trust them with my fur child.

I had no experience at all with any pet having babies. It became overwhelming with Kitty's anxiety. My stress level was steadily climbing as I started losing sleep. This wasn't good for my many health issues. It was too heavy of a load. I gave MACS a call around 9:30 in the morning. At 10:30, they were taking the family indoors. I couldn't believe how extremely kind, understanding and comforting they were. From the call that I made to getting everyone in their hands, it was all done in a loving and caring manner. I truly appreciated everything. My plan was to rehome the kittens after 8 weeks. My daughter and I were constantly researching what to do and how. We couldn't do it as planned with Kitty's now anxiety. So we very blessed that MACS was there. From my phone call to intake, the experience was nothing but excellent. I even called to follow up the next day. I love what they have to offer. I am confident that they all will be placed in loving families. I highly recommend them. Our dog regularly needs an antihistamine to treat her skin allergies, but the vet has taken every step to make it more costly and difficult to obtain this medication - no longer sending prescriptions to online sellers (requiring you to pick up a paper copy each month to physically mail or use their online store), annual increases to treatment costs, and lack of empathy and familiarity with our pets. This was a 5-star vet years ago, but now only does the bare minimum to care for our pets. Time to find a new vet...

My cat, Mister Mister, was very ill in Januar 2014 , from his decaying teeth. I cannot stress the dental care for your animals enough. My Mister Mister almost died, when his dental infection affected his kidneys and they almost shut down. After nearly a weeks stay and a month of recovery, he was on the road, to his surgical date. It has been almost 4 weeks since his surgery (all his teeth were removed) and this little guy is BETTER than ever. He doesn't have the foul smell coming from his infected gums, he's not tired all the time, and he sure isn't the sad little frighten cat (2 1/2 yr old) that was almost at death's door. I don't want you to think I'm a bad mother, his flare up hadn't happened in nearly a year and a half, but when I saw him and he just wasn't himself, not eating, tired, I knew it was time for the vet. Again, I cannot thank Dr. Jammou, Dr, Gill and all the attentive staff at this facility. They comforted me most of the time, answered all my questions and gave me the reassurance I needed to get thru this difficult time. My little guy is now the life of the party, at our house, playing, chasing his cousins (I have 2 other cats) eating and living the life he so deserves. DACC and the Detroit police were made aware of the problem and they stated they would revisit after the holiday. This is just not acceptable. The Detroit Prosecutor needs to step up her game in prosecuting these people that torture these defenseless dogs.

The number of animals that they have to take in in a day is staggering. They do their best to showcase and help them find homes. With the workload and mental and emotional stress they endure day in and day out, I am amazed. I spent a rewarding morning volunteering at FoDACC. During orientation, I got trained in day to day operations, dog management, dog handling, along with a tour of the building. Afterward, I was able to walk and play with the dogs; give them a nice outdoor break. FoDACC has spacious grassy play pens for the dogs to run free and play with lots of toys. They have many boopable noses for adoption as you can see in my pictures below!

We had a very sick younger cat. Dr. Carter was concerned and sent us to an ER vet. The ER vet…read morediagnosed our cat with intermediate cell lymphoma, administered chemo and told us that additional testing was not needed. Dr. Carter got the test results and was not convinced it was lymphoma. She had us get different meds and order more testing. Within 48 hours of taking the non-lymphoma meds our cat was acting livelier than she had in months. Additional testing is still not 100% conclusive that we're out of the woods yet, but it is much more likely that our cat DOES NOT have cancer. Our family cannot thank Dr. Carter enough for her care and attention devoted to our lil' baby. We cannot imagine the route we would have taken had Dr. Carter not went the extra mile and treated our cat as if it was her own. We will be Dr. Carter patients for life!

We have found her and her staff to be extremely caring at all times. They treat their animal patients as if they were family.
