History

Established in 2022.

Chantel and Mike met in high school, never expecting dogs to shape their future. Chantel started as a dog groomer but soon discovered her passion for training. Mike, on the other hand, had been attacked by a family dog as a child and afraid of dogs for years. That changed when he saw Chantel’s dedication and began learning alongside her. In 2015, they opened Wag This Way, a daycare, boarding, and grooming facility focused on structured care and enrichment. After years of success, they longed to focus on training. In 2022, after visiting Chantel’s sister at UT, Knoxville felt like home. They sold Wag This Way and moved to open Fully Loaded Canines, combining Chantel’s 15 years and Mike’s 10 years of training experience. Their mission is to help owners and dogs build trust, communication, and lasting bonds. Their journey has taken them from a small facility to a full-scale training operation, and they’re just getting started—one dog, one family, one success at a time.
