Stopped by on Sunday 12-27-15, we had 3 hours to kill on our trip back to Portland OR. We were at the door waiting for them to open. We were greeted warmly by Justin and Paul, they both were very excited to share knowledge about the beers. And also gave us a detailed history of the brewery and the Mpls beer scene. Being from Portland we see a lot of great pubs and breweries and we felt very much at home at Fulton. Not to mention their beers were fantastic, Justin and Paul were more than happy to offer samples before ordering a pint, we especially liked the Amber Saison and the Black IPA. Fulton Brewery is defiantly on top of the list for our next visit. read more

Really nice place to grab a pint before or after a twins game. I think the beer is much better at other places around in the metro, but they must be doing something right that I don't know about because they're always busy, and their Sweet Child O' Vine and Lonely Blond is a handle at every place in the metro. read more

Beer is pretty good. Atmosphere is terrific (if you can hit it when it's not a total zoo). But I kid you not that the brisket is some of the best I've ever had. At a brewery. In Minnesota. Not Texas. Yup. It's a pretty cool location. The beer is damn delicious. And seriously the tap room leaves little to be desired. The mini bag toss is a nice touch, but with the ceilings as high as they are, it might as well be a full sized bag toss. Not a lot of tap rooms have this much character. I'm rating it more on atmosphere and fun factor, only because they're heavy on IPAs & stouts here and I'm not the biggest IPA or stout fan. BUT if you like IPAs, definitely check them out. Great before a Twins game or just on a nice day to relax on the patio with a board game. They have food trucks but no kitchen, which is typical for tap rooms. Solid beer lineup with a large taproom. We hadn't been to Fulton for a few years, but stopped by on our last trip since it was close to our hotel. All the beers were very well made, but they didn't have anything too out-of-the-box, which I find myself wanting more of lately. That's not really a "fault" of theirs, but just my opinion/preference. Fulton was the first stop of many on our informal Minneapolis brewery tour - and I honestly would consider it to be the best! We got The Ringer and 300. Both beers were great (The Ringer is definitely on my top 10 list now) and were served with a smile from the bartender. We were a little bummed that they didn't offer flights but it seemed to be a regional thing; no brewery we went to offered them. Beers were also pretty cheap, within the $5-6 range. The best part about this brewery is definitely the atmosphere. It's such an appealing building on the outside and inside it's spacious, clean and warm. Why did I wait so long before visiting? I have always loved Fulton, the beer and the philosophy... decided to check out the Brewery for myself. Walking distance from Target Field and on the edge of the North Loop. Great outdoor patio, with a food truck. Once inside, I started at the top of the list on the board and worked my way down.. I thought I knew all the beers Fulton made, but I was wrong.. so many good beers. Staff was quick to serve and friendly. It can get busy as large groups would arrive at the same time, but be patient, they will get to you. read more

I went here with some friends while a Twins game was going on. This was a great way to start out the night. Sit around the tables talking with old friends, watching the game on the TV and having a beer that came right from the vats through the window. I stuck with the Child of Vine since they were out of Worthy Adversary. It was a good choice. So good, in fact that I ended up leaving with a growler of it. My favorite go-to tap room in the Cities of those I've visited thus far. Like most of the beer choices, and while busy often, never had a problem getting a seat. Think I do prefer bars to tap rooms but they have a place in my "going out" rotation, especially with out-of-town visitors. There are several very successful breweries in Minneapolis and the outlying suburbs. Very few have taprooms that provide their customers such a comfortable, enjoyable experience. Bartenders are not only knowledgeable, but proud of what they serve. The food trucks are great, but it's definitely worth the walk to Smack Shack if you're up for it. read more

Stopped in for one before a rock concert at Mill City Nights. The place itself is nothing too special. Tap room is ok. Would help if they had free popcorn or something. The beer was good and as expected. The waitstaff didn't smile. My husband and I watched 4 bartenders for about an hour trying to guess which one might smile first. Not one and not even to each other. The place was busy on a late Saturday afternoon. The acoustics are not good in there so hard to chat without hollering and the design is not much to talk about. Many breweries have a good vibe but this wasn't one. As I mentioned the beer is good so I'll just drink it elsewhere. read more

Spent an enjoyable summer night here last week. This is a great space, kind of the typical feel of small taprooms in Minneapolis, but in a great location and with great outdoor seating available right by Target Field and Downtown. Good prices at about $5 for a craft beer. One downer is closing at 11 or so, but can take the party to other nearby breweries or downtown bars. read more

Fulton Brewery - Breweries Near Me - Minneapolis, Minnesota

I remember when upon hearing about where Fulton would be opening their brewery and Taproom I told someone that "it would be great for people like me, and my friends to go to a brewery before a baseball game, but I really don't think the idea will take off." Well, if you ever see me walking down the street feel free to slap me in the face as hard as you can for saying such nonsense. This place is balls to the walls ("balls" how appropriate) before and after Twins games but not in a bad way. The taproom is staffed well and the food trucks are always great. Did I mention the beer is great too? I'm a big fan of their "Sweet Child of Vine" and if you are lucky enough to get their "Lonely Blonde" when they are infusing it with grapefruit behind the bar you will be in heaven. The only drawback is the expense of the beer at the taproom which you would think would be lower than a regular bar but if I was printing money like that place is I guess I wouldn't mind taking an extra buck from the masses either, it obviously hasn't hurt them any. read more

Hate to be the fly in the ointment, but this brewery was just so-so in my book. The tone was set before I even entered the building, which apparently (and unfortunately) happens to be located on an extremely busy trash truck route. Several trucks passed by while we were waiting for the brewery to open. The stench of garbage juice splashed on the road outside did not exactly stimulate my appetite. While the brewery can hardly be blamed for the aroma outside, they can be blamed for the paltry selection on the day I visited. I understand they were between taps, but honestly--I want to say they only had three beers (maybe four). I tasted two of them--an unmemorable ale of some sort and their flagship Sweet Child of Vine. Seriously? Why is SCV so revered? I found it very bland and devoid of flavor. I so wanted to like this place, but my buddy and I left very disappointed. Had much better luck in the Northeast Arts District. read more

Are you all high?? This beer is average but extremely expensive.... They act like it comes from Europe or somewhere far. Im from Minnesota and so is Fulton brewery, there is no reason to have a glass of a minnesota beer this expensive. Its a shame all this brewery crap is so out of hand.!!
