The area this brewery is located at is super cute. Parking can be difficult but the brewery itself is really fun. It's very spacious inside . The bar had a nice selection of drinks and if you order a soda it is from a can. The staff here are super pleasant to talk to and I felt super welcomed and comfortable here. The food here tasted good. I would not recommend the pickle pizza but everything else we got was very good. You should try the Mac and cheese Jalapeño bites. We walked over to Wicked Wort after trying Nouvelle down the street, and it's the perfect little bar-hop! Wicked Wort feels like your classic neighborhood brewery, woody, industrial and warm. There's a ton of seating, which wasn't even full on a Friday night with live music. I appreciated that Wicked Wort has more than just beers, they have pre-mixed canned drinks from Tattersall as well as a full bar. Makes it a great neighborhood spot! I tried the Blueberry Collins from Tattersall and it was delicious. Beware that these cans are 7%, but the blueberry basil flavor was unique and refreshing. Wicked Wort also has some food offerings - I didn't get a good look at the menu because my boyfriend went up and ordered some snacks for the table. We munched on some popcorn for only $1 a bag, as well as their Bavarian Pretzel. The pretzel was perfectly fluffy, and their beer cheese was deep and malty which I loved. Wicked Wort was recommended by a friend, so we stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to check it out. Business was slow, with only 2-3 tables occupied. They do have a fairly large taproom, so the energy was kinda dull. It didn't help that the taproom itself is a bit dark and dingy. Seems like a local hang-out, with lots of seating and a stage for live music. Service was really friendly and helpful during our visit. The beer itself was alright. We had the Power Sour and the Showgirl. Both had good flavor and were perfect summer drinks! We had ample space to enjoy the drinks over a board game. This is a hang out spot for happy hour after work. It's great for large groups since it has a big taproom. We had a group of about 15 people. They specialize in mostly beers but they can also make some cocktails. They have a food menu as well! Service was great and there's a parking lot provided. Stopped in this afternoon for the first time in about six years.... I opted for two stouts: Ol Bessie Double Chocolate Milk Stout and Second Breakfast Maple Coffee Stout, both were delicious!! I also started chatting up a beertender... which after a couple of comments it begged me asking "are you an owner?" He was....and he was just a lovely fellow!! If I lived closer I would come all the time. The space inside is pretty big, there's plenty of room for a group to sit comfortably. Cool feature with the open floor looking down to the brewery area. Plus, in the warmer months the patio is huge. Beer is great, I don't really have a favorite, pretty much just grab whatever is in season at the time. Food has always been solid too, nice to have a brewery with a solid kitchen, a welcome change to food trucks. Ummm, did someone say free popcorn? Yep, sure enough there is! I'm probably missing a ton of special events, live music and other activities they put on. One of my fave things to do, hit up Hackenmueller's Meats down the street for some beef sticks or other quality meat. read more

No kids, no dogs in breweries is my mantra. They do allow dogs, but none on my visit yesterday. They have several high ABV options now although I did not partake. The pineapple sour that they have on right now is money. Pig Ate My Pizza is just down the block and will deliver. Never had their pie, but heard nothing but great things. If Robbinsdale wasn't so far off my beaten track, I would go back more frequently. read more

Four of us had a good time here on a cold weeknight. There was some serious bingo going on, which we didn't participate in, but we had fun drinking good brews. I very much liked my BLT with Tater Tots, and others enjoyed their Burger and Fried Cheese Curds. You do have to go up to the bar and wait in line to order, but it's pretty quick. The brewery had 7 beers on tap and a few weren't even theirs. My wife said the blonde ale was passable, but nothing to come back for. I had one of the worst hazy IPA's ever. I couldn't finish it. The ambience was dark dive bar with sticky tables. My glass stuck to the table. We were trying to play a card game but the cards kept sticking to the table. Let's start with the positives: - large indoor and outdoor spaces with plenty of seating. Dog friendly inside -Live music was excellent and we enjoyed having that again as it's pretty rare at establishments now days with Covid Not so positive: -Food was maybe the worst I have ever experienced. Granted, we are at a brewery, I realize it's not a full restaurant but the fish tacos were literally ripped up fish in a soft shell with nothing else. No sauce, no veggies, no nothing. Would be better off just ordering fish and chips because that's what this was. Chicken wings (not pictured) were also bad tasting. Definitely just do yourself a favor and order Pig ate my pizza or one of the many other places nearby. - Beer is below average although they do have a wide variety/selection. Fun laid back atmosphere with live music. This was my first time here, but my brother and his fiancé come often. They had their engagement party here in the downstairs event space. There was room for games (bags, giant Jenga, hammerschlagen). They were able to play the football game, and show the video of their engagement through a projector onto the wall. They ended up buying and brining their own projector because it was cheaper than renting the one that is fixed to the ceiling ($100). After the event a smaller group of us bad our way upstairs to enjoy the live band. They had a variety of games to play, and free popcorn! I saw a couple dogs so it appears to be dog friendly. With the band I think it's a bit too loud for most dogs. I'm not a big beer drinker, but love sours. Their sour really hit the spot for me. My brother who is. I went here to meet a date (3rd and last date...solid 1 star guy...but that's a whole different story). Went here on a Wednesday and ordered some beers. The beers were good but nothing that I would go out of my way to go to (so that brings us down to 4 stars). The location just felt neglected though. There were something about the ambiance that felt like it was starting on its decline and we were literally on the journey to watching it fall to its death of the battles of the breweries. The date ordered a pizza, a meat pizza on ash Wednesday (I am catholic so no meat for me...and another reason the guy is a 1 star dude). It appeared to be Heggies which should be a 5 star guaranteed rating, but let me tell you I am still appalled about this pizza. Not because the guy ordered a meat pizza on one of the few days I could not eat mean (that is just something that guy would do...) but the brewery cut the pizza into TRIANGLES! WHAT! We all know that Heggies or bar pizza should ALWAYS be cut into squares! so between the look lack of cleanliness of the facility to the way they cut the pizza, that brings us down to 3 stars. read more

My boyfriend and I go here almost every Wednesday night for the meat raffle. He's a beer drinker, I am not. Thankfully, they have wine here. Etabs are available here. It's a pretty new thing. They don't number the iPads. I told them they need to number them so when people come up to add cash, they can see it's just number two or number four. The bartender blew me off. Great atmosphere in a big space! We went on a Saturday night and it was a hopping place with live music. We grabbed a high top table as soon as one opened. While I was in line for beer my husband went straight to the popcorn machine. Some free salty popcorn is my favorite perk of a brewery. We got two samplers so we could try all the flavors and see what we liked. My husband liked the IPA so much that he got a crowler to go. My personal favorite was the raspberry wheat. There are two bars and the main one is constantly busy. Go to the one in the back of the restaurant for a shorter line and all the same beer. Before diving into the pros, I will say as a recent parent that I wish they had limited hours where you could bring infants, but they are 100% no children of any size allowed. I really enjoy their outdoor patio, which occasionally has scheduled performances. They've all been enjoyable when I've been there. The beer has a lot of depth in options, making it one of my top picks. Their IPA selection is great, but my wife can always find numerous tasty beers that are less hoppy. We stopped into Wicket Wort after having dinner across the street for a night cap and some pull tabs. The place is big and spacious, which large garage doors open letting the fresh air in. There was a pianist performing Billy Joel (to with whom I belted out Piano Man to my husband's dismay.) The beer was good, we won about $20 in pull tabs, they allow dogs inside, and I got to sing along with the piano man. My reasoning why is that I do not see any indication there were any precautions other than the bartenders were wearing masks. I went with a friend and we both got our own flights which let us try everything they had available. Their flights are a pretty decent pour and it's nice that you are able to choose your own. There was not one beer they had that I didn't enjoy. I'm excited for their upcoming or "on deck" beers to come. The only sad part is they don't have a date as to when they will be on. Oh well, just means we get to come back for more. Recommendations for new to beer: try the Kolch. Refreshing and easy drinking.
