I looked up online to make sure I had all of my information before going and I also filled out some online forms to hopefully make my life easier too. Once you're there you meet with the reception who basically asks why you're here and helps point you in the right direction. From there, you'll eventually get a number and it's a waiting game. Fortunately for me, the wait was not long. I had all of my paperwork and truthfully, the associate was so nice! I was in and out maybe within 30 minutes and I had my new temporary license while I waited for my actual license to mail. It couldn't have been easier.

I guess they assume that everyone knows what to do, but once I got that assistance. I was in and out in under ten minutes. You can also do the application online prior to arriving. Sucks that by time I got home, the Miami airport had sent me my lost license, so now I have two valid licenses. Sucks even more that license pictures are now black and white and there is no color option, not even if you're willing to pay more. Otherwise, its the DMV. You know what to expect.

The service here is top notch and very friendly. Even the security officers at the front of the building are super helpful. My husband and I had to come and get an extension on our car registration. It was around 9:30am on a Thursday and thankfully, there was no wait. As soon as we went to the window, the employee greeted us with a sweet, pleasant smile. After she understood the reason for our visit, she quickly took care of our request with no hesitation. So pleasant! Got in and out in less than 10 mins! It was busy on a Tuesday morning around 8:45 am when my son and I stood in line for his learner's…read morepermit written test. Line was 20 people outside the door of the location and it took about 30 min to get to the front. There is security who directs the line, and a staff member who makes sure you have all needed documents before you can get a ticket. Save yourself time by filling out an application online which will have a 10 digit code. There are eight computers available if you forgot to print one of the four documents I needed I to print my son's school schedule to show school enrollment. Unfortunately it did not print as a pdf so my son had to reprint it after he took his written test. By the time we got to front of line and showed our documents, it was time to stand in line for our ticket number. Son took an eye exam and he says the lights were not working. He was able to take the written test on the computer and then we waited our turn to get his permit. And waited. And waited. Make sure you check back in with the counter after you finish your test. Otherwise you will wait forever. Parking is super easy at South DeKalb Mall and I would suggest not coming on a Tuesday before 1030 am due to longer waits. They accept credit cards and Apple Pay and Google pay for the $10 fee for permit. Staff is polite and friendly for the high volume of customers they serve. Two hours for our visit! Glad I brought my patience today.

The inside was super clean and the setup is straightforward so it's not hard to navigate. The young lady at the counter was super friendly and able to answer the few confirmation questions we had. After getting our number and taking a seat, I was able to observe the process. The clerks were spot on with their efficiency as well as you could tell that the structure that was implemented was done with the customer in mind. Once at the window, the questions were asked, paperwork was provided, and we were on our way. I'm talking swift processing time, good service, and a customer focused experience as a whole. But this Nice representative found a way to give me at least some time to get it filled out correctly by giving me a temporary plaque card.
