If you believe your time and trust is worth more than $11.00, look elsewhere. I was a sold a fake card by the owner of this store (Rich) approximately 3 years ago. After discussing this on the phone, he agreed to partially refund me for the hardship. Several months later, I dropped the fake card off and he texted me to deny that he sold me the card but that he would "honor the $7 store credit offer". Notably, this is not the remedy we agreed upon on the phone. It is unfortunate that after spending a significant amount of money at this store, I have been met with such dishonest behavior. I write this review only to warn shoppers to be careful of what they buy. If hardship may occur, do not depend on Rich to make you whole. You will be disappointed. read more

They should change their name to 'Fun4None'. Vibe in this place is atrocious. As soon as I walk in I can feel eyes rolling multiplied by exasperated groans of annoyance, when the two combine into one the result is immense discombobulation. I never leave reviews but this place has caused such frustration that in good conscience I cant sit idly by--if this review can keep someone from being battered with jabs of rudeness and uppercuts of attitude then I have accomplished my goal. You'll pull a SIR Umbreon faster than you would come across a friendly, welcoming, and respectful staff member bereft of attitude. The owner is the kingpin of kinetic snideness, whilst the apathetic apple doesnt fall too far from the tree because after dealing with his son, if the bad attitude doesnt flatten you, you'll need to keep yourself from being immobilized with such profound loathing and lethargy--exuded by him--you'll be lucky to make it back to your vehicle. The other two I dealt with were just as bad. I have dropped thousands here and they still treat me with disdain, it leaves a sensation of debilitating bitterly burning regret in the pit of my stomach. While traveling game stores are one of our usual stops. So during this trip we decided to stop in Fun 4 All. Let me say that while more game stores fall flat Fun 4 All exceeded my expectations!! Walking in everything was WELL organized. There was a large section for comics in the middle and the right wall. They also sold playing cards and in the back was tables for group play. Up in the front left was a large selection of games. The smaller packages deck games are locked in cases. (However the staff was super helpful and didn't hesitate letting us check them out) The staff super nice and helpful (but not too chatty and overbearing). Again the organization blew me away! Fun 4 All is the place for Ypsilanti trading card gamer geeks. They have regular tourneys and game nights, and they always have a nice selection of "Magic: The Gathering" cards, both the current set and some older sets. The prices for individual cards are comparable to those in other local gaming stores. One nice amenity here: there is a box of MTG "land" cards that can be borrowed, with a note on the box asking for patrons to also donate to the box. I'm sure that's one reason they attract so many gamers to their tournaments and game nights. I can't help it; I love Fun 4 All! And with their larger Carpenter Road location, I love them even more. The staff has consistently been knowledgable and friendly. They're always willing to help, and are very patient when I am uncertain about this or that. Fun 4 All sells geekery at full price, so while I don't buy much, it's always a great experience. I never feel bad buying it at this price here even when it's cheaper online because the service and knowledge are worth it. They've even recommended comics to me, and I've loved them. I also buy a lot of dice sets here, and they've got a pretty attractive assortment of them! The price isn't too bad on the lower end die, but it's as expected all around. There is also an interesting assortment of board games in the front of the store. I highly recommend you check it out! Ask the staff for recommendations. There's a lot of cool stuff in there. This is one of the best shops around. Rich, the store owner, treats his customers (core or first time visitors) the way you'd hope a store owner would: with respect and honesty. The staff he has compiled are truly wonderful. They obviously think of Fun 4 All as more than a job and they regularly go above and beyond to answer questions for customers and help in any way they can. Game nights here tend to be fun, relaxed and very welcoming (to players new and old). The store is also very clean, well air conditioned and sufficiently large for big events -- all important things if you're spending hours here for a tournament. It can be hard to find a comic book shop that just makes you happy. I'd say Fun 4 All definitely fits the bill. Not only does Fun 4 All have an excellent selection of trade paper backs and graphic novels, they also carry a huge selection of single issues each week. They've never been sold out of the important stuff, which makes for a stress free shopping environment. The people who work there are always helpful, nice, and willing to talk to you. I have been to so many comic shops where the staff working there seem to hate their jobs (and their lives) which makes for a brusque and awkward encounter. The only thing I might change to Fun 4 All would be adding a little music - It can be deathly quiet in there! read more

Great selection of TCGs, miniatures, and comics. They are starting to expand their board game business. On Wednesday nights they run a board game night that is very well attended, and D&D runs that night as well. Fridays is packed with MTG players. I don't bother with the other local hobby shops anymore. The staff is so friendly, it seems that they know most of their customers by a first name basis and always greet everyone coming through the door! They're also very knowledgable about the merchandise they sell, especially their selection of Magic: the gathering cards. This store is very neat and well organized. You may be able to find things online for a cheaper but you can ask their opinion or for suggestions and always receive great service, even when they're incredibly busy, so it's worth it to buy from these guys! read more

For board games, this is the best store in Ypsi or Ann Arbor. I don't know much about comic books or CCGs, but their selection of board games is excellent. Unfortunately, they don't have an especially wide selection. Other stores may have more games in stock, but what impresses me about Fun 4 All is the quality of their selection. They do a very good job of keeping both new and quality older games in stock. I do wish they had more space to lay out the board game selection. They're mostly crammed into a few shelves, so all you can see is the side of the box. When you know what you want, that actually makes it easier, but when you're browsing, it's very hard to find something new or unexpected. I also have it from an expert that their selection of card-based games (not CCGs) is well above par and worth travelling from Lansing to browse. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They've always offered to help and they're happy to to answer questions. The store is in a convenient location (at least for me!). It may not be near you, but it's easier to get to than many downtown stores, thanks to ease of parking. Their prices are comparable to other local shops. Higher than online, of course, but it's absolutely worth it to be able to browse, talk, get the game immediately, and of course, to support local business! read more

I've visited Just4Fun three or four times. They have a pretty good selection and plenty of play space. The staff however leaves a lot to be desired. A female friend and I went in and asked about a specific MTG card. The person working scoffed, told us about why that card was terrible and insinuated that we didn't know any better because we are women. Then turned and walked away from us. It's a great store in terms of getting new comics. Clean, well organized, and lots of room! The staff is super friendly and helpful. James seems to know everyone by name. I see him bend over backwards with young kids / new fans and their parents, making them feel very welcome and at ease. James and Derrick 's service and witty banner are a huge reason I shop there. I'm not a gamer, but if that's your thing, this store seems to have a very active community with age variety. Great trade paperback and graphic novel selection to boot! My two complaints- I wish they had a greater selection on back issues. For me, that's what makes great comic shops exceptional. I have been in this store several times to look around. The third time, I approached the counter, and the man behind it greeted me. I asked him if I could sit at one of the several tables in the store (the Secretary of State is right next door, and I was browsing at Fun4All while I waited). He began interrogating me in a hostile tone with a raised voice. He was giving me a dirty look and actually turned his back to me and briskly walked away from me and two other customers in the middle of our conversation. At this point, I decided to walk out the door and not come back again. I am a professional, well-dressed adult. If the staff at this store don't respect grown men, how do you think they will treat you and your family? AVOID. I've visited Stadium Comic's old location, as well as their new location near the Target on Carpenter Road. I am glad to see that these guys were able to upgrade to a bigger store. They offer a wide variety of comics and other collectibles. Whenever I visit the store at night it's packed with people playing various tabletop games. My one complaint would be that they need some kind of velvet rope or something to indicate where the line starts when you want to check out. It can be confusing when you have groups of people hanging around the cash register talking with the cashier or just sitting on the floor near the register reading books. I know they offer a subscription service, but I don't read that many comics anymore and my boyfriend uses Vault of Midnight's service. read more
