I was interested in selling my sports cards collection until I talked to their "buyer". until he told me they won't even look at two decades of cards! don't bring in any form of 1990s at all, not any sport, or the entire 2000-2010 baseball! well unless their psa graded. read more

I'm a "Magic: The Gathering" geek, so that's my main reason for coming to Stadium. They used to be my favorite gaming store around, but I'm finding that Fun 4 All is giving them a run for their money, especially in availability of MTG cards. I suspect that the guys at Stadium are more knowledgeable about and more into comics than they are trading card games. They're always friendly and helpful and ready to talk, though. You can buy single cards cheaper online, but it is nice to be able to walk into a brick and mortar store and sort through cards and pick up a few MTG "commons" for 25 cents apiece. Another nice touch, two years ago, they had a little Christmas Eve buffet, and patrons who happened to be out and about could come in and snack while they browsed. That's the kind of small town, homey, just-like-family atmosphere you'll find here. That's what keeps me coming back. read more

This is a great hobby shop! They have a nice variety of comic books, board/card games (magic the gathering, and Pokémon), and sport cards (baseball, hockey, football, and basketball). As a first time visitor I was very happy to see they had new baseball releases. I bought a box of 2020 clearly authentic and 2019 topps chrome update. I used to frequent this shop for all my comics needs. Staff was always helpful, they always had everything I wanted in stock, and there selection of back issues was extensive. I only stopped going because it was out of my way and there are closer shops to me in A2. But I needed to procure some kids comics on the cheap for a comics club I'm running for disadvantaged kids, and remembered their sweet combination of resources and helpfulness. I'm sure glad I did. The staff worked with me to find the best material for my needs and then generously gave me a substantial discount to help out the kids. I couldn't be more grateful. For your latest edition of your favorite comic books this is the best place!! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is limited especially in the evening when they have tournaments of some sort. I've never bothered to ask but it appeared to be pretty intense action at the tables. read more

I'm a regular of Stadium and I can say it is hands down the best card shop in the area. Not only are the staff down to earth and friendly, but it is one of the few places with excellent comic choices and Pokemon/Magic singles. I've been shopping there for over a year and I haven't ever had an unpleasant experience there. The customer base is also extremely diverse and the staff are inclusive to everyone. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Selection is good and they will order pretty much anything you could ask for. The store is clean, well-lit and well-organized. I've kept getting my comic pulls from them for years despite living over an hour away. Alas $4+/gallon gasoline is pushing me to move to a more local venue. Stadium is great! It's the only sport card shop left anywhere in the area. Also tons of sports memorabilia and autographed items. At the same time it's a comic and gaming store. Tons of comic back issues cheap and an enormous selection of graphic novels and trades. If you want it they got it. Also the largest selection of comic hero sculptures ive ever seen. Last but not least is their gaming selection. Tons of magic singles and packs, heroclix too. They run tournaments for magic most nights and heroclix on Sundays. This is my go-to shop for all my sportscard needs. I have a huge collection of cards thanks to this store (among a few others). The service from Mark and all of the guys there (John too) is great!! If you'd like to talk a bit of sports with them they are more than happy to partake. Never in a rush and will always order or set aside something new if you ask. This is a great store. They carry everything from comics to signed jerseys. They are great to local teams and have had signings of players from the Red Wings, Lions and Tigers. They treat you like family and are child friendly. When we moved to NC we tried to find a store with the same atmosphere. We have yet to find one. I loved going into the store and finding something for myself and my husband but also for our son. Stadium is usually our first stop when we are home to visit. read more
