Kind of dangerous for bigger kids. Maybe good for small kids or kids younger than ten....
Kathy B.

Look, I know this was their "soft" opening and only their second day. I'm also pretty sure that this place was supposed to open about a year ago. So there was clearly a lot of holdup opening this particular location. I have a few things to say, so I will just mark it down to the good and the bad below. The "good ish" 1. Besides the disgustingly, dirty woman's room, this place felt pretty clean and looked pretty clean. 2. As of now, you can bring your own food and drink. Not sure how long that will last. This is another good yet not so good thing. Since there's a McDonald's across the parking lot, it seemed like everybody had McDonald's. So it kind of smelled like a McDonald's. And I could see how rude people were already leaving their garbage and fries and things like that all over the place. The garbage cans were quickly overflowing. 3. The kiosk tablets were easy to use, and the lines moved fairly quick. This place was a mad house. So, that helps. 4. For $28 you can play all day. I believe (a parent said this, not anyone official) that you can leave and come back, as long as you have this sticker that shows how long you paid for showing on your child's shirt. That is great. When my daughter was little I would have jumped (no pun intended) at a place where we could play indoors all day, and also come and go as we pleased. The bad 1. Did I mention how utterly awful and disgusting the woman's bathroom is?! This is the 2nd day?? The bathrooms were clearly not updated. The floors were beyond nasty with black "stuff" all over. They smelled to high heaven and the paper towel machine did not work. 2. It's the second day- so I'll give this one a pass- but they only have drinks (in my opinion over priced. A energy water was over $5.00 but I don't buy those- so maybe that's a normal price? 3. If you see the photos I have attached- you'll see an example of the eight electrical outlet boxes that are just hanging from the ceiling. Odd. 4. This one is the most concerning thing, and the reason I'll probably just go to Urban Air next time. My daughter said when she was on the ropes course that the whole thing was shaking and dust was falling around her head. Also less alarming, but still "funny", was that my daughter asked a worker what she was supposed to do on some zip line thing, and the lady just shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know ". 5. A lot of the attractions looked cool, but maybe not exactly sized correctly. I think this is a place that is geared towards a wide range of ages, but is really built for smaller kids. 6. Be prepared (adults) to sit with people you don't know who will not mind your personal space (such is life- no biggie) because there are only so many places to sit. Just a smallish section of hard plastic picnic tables that wobble every time someone sits down or gets up. I'm sure none of this will stop people from coming. It's just the way it is with these kid places. A lot of people seemed fine with the place.

Only notice of playground age limit after you have paid!

False advertising, you are not notified that the indoor playground is for 10 and under , we paid 108 dollars to find out that there's an age limit ! No signage at registration or on website that indoor playground is for 10 and under only!

My 9-year-old son really enjoyed the Ninja Camp this past week there at Trinity Academy of…read moreGymnastics. On the first day, one of the ladies in the office was really hospitable and showed us around. I also got to meet the owner that day, who I had seen out around the community. I was most impressed with the coaches: Nolan, Isaiah, and others. Coach Nolan often stood at the gym door welcoming the students at drop-off and then again at the end of the day with keeping tabs with pick-up. He was always friendly and helpful, often encouraging the kids. They were also detail-oriented in the office, calling the first day to get any remaining forms signed. They also called one day when my son was a little scared after getting a very minimal bloody lip. They just wanted to make me aware, and then they sat with him and encouraged him to keep at it. Pretty impressive that that was the only thing he had when basically doing a 30 hr ninja camp. My son definitely loved the camp. After 6 hours each day, he was drenched in sweat at pick-up and slept hard every night! Thanks for making it a great experience for him and for us! I always felt like he was in good hands.

I would definitely recommend you stop by and see for yourself.

Just an update on my review since it's been awhile and I was able to have a wonderful conversation…read morewith Inna and Christi, who own and run this business every day! I came in on a late Saturday afternoon and it was perfect... there was only one other customer here. Except for the kids music playing over the speakers, it was "quiet" and calm. Everything was orderly and clean and my daughter was able to play with everything she wanted. Some notes for you who haven't been here: - No outside food or drinks. And this rule is serious. I found out from Christi that this is because due to their business designation, they are not allowed to have potential allergens (eg. peanuts, soy, sesame, etc) brought into the building. They are just following regulations and are not just trying to generate more revenue... though it's good to support local businesses! - Make sure everyone is wearing socks. This is one of the reasons it's so clean here! - It's $15 per child for the day, with no fee for adults. - Paying with card is 4% up charge (due to processing charges from the payment company), so bring cash or pay by Zelle. The owners are super nice as long as you are willing to ask questions and let them know what you need. They are kind to the kids and welcoming to the adults. One of the toys was out of batteries and Inna immediately replaced them so my daughter could have more fun! There's also an extensive menu of snacks and drinks for you and your child, so it's a good place to relax (as much as you can while having kids ) and have a nice coffee. Definitely come by and support this local business... especially when there's low traffic!

I often look for a place that incorporates "fun for kids" and "relaxation for parents." In this…read morecase, "Playroom Cafe" fits the bill. Well, there is one disclaimer. Parents would not be completely relaxed because supervision is required for our energetic kids, but that is just the name of the game. We have been their Mount Prospect location, but the Hoffman Estates one operates a little differently: store-logo grip socks are required to purchase for children ($1.99/pair, as of 06/13/2026). Adults are required to wear socks and adult-size socks are available for purchase if you need a pair. Otherwise, things are business as usual. My partner and I bought our two boys and got the siblings discount (regular admission: $19.99, sibling discount: $17.99, as of 06/13/2026). First of all, before I wanted to mention how much fun our munchkins had, the iced cold brew hit the spot! That was exactly what I needed. Then it was time to order some food, their cheesy and prosciutto/arugula Flatbread were the carbs I needed to overcome the buzz of iced cold brew. Our kids and my partner devoured these quickly and efficiently as well. We were there for solid three hours or so and our kids play every station, from mini rock climbing to musical/metal/transparent slides. They briefly mingled in the baby area and realized that that space was reserved for toddlar under 36 months. With that said, my young could have stayed yet he wanted to chase his bro...lol. The environment was clean. There was a birthday party going on but I didn't bother us the unrelated patrons at all. Unfortunately, driving to Hoffman Estates was a quest and the gas price hasn't been that friendly for a casual mini road trip like this. With that said, we will make it here when we can because we genuinely enjoyed our experience here.
