I have been intrigued by the building and this gave me a great reason to go check it out! I am giving this place five stars mainly because of the building itself! It is a great example of historically inspired architecture. It blends in perfectly with the motif and architecture of the historic downtown Grapevine area. The brochures in the visitors center are very organized and cover not only the Grapevine area, but also Fort Worth and Dallas as well. There is a nice working train display in the lobby. Grapevine leans heavily into its railroad history. Right now there is a very large space dedicated to Mayor William D. Tate's Jubilee Celebration of 50 years in office.

We had an absolutely glorious afternoon with Heather and Heath on their well-tuned and sized bikes, leisurely pedaling around downtown Dallas, stopping to see points of interest, appreciating the many gorgeous murals throughout the city, and discovering new parks and neighborhoods that we want to go back and explore more fully! Heather and Heath are lovely human beings, curious and engaging...though our ages and backgrounds differ greatly, they made it so comfortable and fun with their open and kind personalities. They focus on safety and on tailoring the ride to the desires of their customers and were open to switching things up to fit our interests. They adjusted quickly to our skill levels, and we are confident that they could meet the needs of any group. They supplied everything we needed, even ice-cold water. The last train from downtown to here leaves at 12:29am, so be sure to make it if you're parked down here. Parking is free. We felt safe leaving our car here while we went downtown to a concert. Maybe 25 min to Victory station? I wasn't timing it. But it wasn't bad at all. They have a kiosk which is super way to use, and it accepts credit card. It prints you passes right there and only takes a minute. Be sure to collect your tickets prior to the train coming. Doors open for about 1 minute and you have to wait 15 minutes to catch the next one. Check out dart.org for the rail schedule.

I've heard the day time shows have no sound. The best place to watch is centered on the turf. I'm glad it's turf because real grass would be wet and dirty. You could bring a blanket but we never do. This stop is well lit and has plenty of parking. It also has busses that run to the airport. Even better, the prices have recently dropped making it a more cost effective option. If you are seeing a game or show at the AAC, there is no better way to get there. Also your pass will allow you to ride on the light rails, if the main stops aren't close enough to your destination.
