This is an absolute must stop if you even remotely like arcades. Awesomely laid out and it uses quarters. Games are set realistically and you can do well on most. Ski ball was awesome, they have a vintage baseball game that is unbelievable and you can play for a quarter. My daughter scored 28 runs and got to pick a stuffed animal off of the wall. We all had a blast and the four of us were in there for two hours and only spent about 55 bucks. Which is way cheaper than going and doing a go cart race. Plus you're sitting there playing the baseball game and looking outside at the ocean. Not too many places on earth left that you can do this. The sounds were authentically amazing with the coins hitting the slot. The bells and ringing of the games took me back 25 to 30 years. Kids said that it was one of the best parts of the vacation. Fun Plaza is indeed that. It's next to/on the beach and makes a good place to go to escape the heat and the sun. The games are spread across a couple of large rooms. These games are well-loved but functional. They are modernized with a card swipe. We had way too much fun an spent way too much money at the Willy Wonka quarter pusher game. There is no better arcade with affordable games on the boardwalk than Fun Plaza. I loved playing skee ball (50 cents per game) and ice hockey ($3 per game) here. You buy a Fun card from the vending machine inside for 40 cents and simultaneously add how much you want to spend for playing games ($5, $10, $20, etc) using a credit card or cash. Then swipe your Fun card at each game's electronic pad and reload the card at the vending machine using a credit card/cash. I will save my Fun card for usage next summer. read more

This is the best ocean front arcade in MB. It is HUGE. They have cards you can purchase and reload. As usual with any arcade, its really hard to win a lot of tickets so you are going to spend a LOT of money, however it's tons of fun! Stay away from the claw machines if possible because they are really weak. The one with the golden eggs seemed to be most promising. They have some cool prizes though, and the staff are all really helpful especially if you have a problem with a machine! The bathroom was kind of weird. Each little stall was closed by a shower curtain and they were really tiny, but hey at least they have toilets! read more

This Arcade was super fun! My husband and I love going to arcades any vacation we take! This arcade is big from the inside! Lots of games and the least we expected was pinball machines! We absolutely love pinball! The games are very affordable. We had used 20$ and we played soooooo many games! We were there for almost 1 hr 30mins. Love this place. Spent a lot of time playing video games and some of the ticket/coin games like Willy Wonka. The only complaint that we now have joked about for years is the mens bathroom. I've been coming here for decades...so many memories. The arcade is well-kept with both modern games and some of the same vintage games that I used to play in my childhood many years ago. Very little about this place has changed through the years, which is the main reason I still come here. There's no more messing around with coins and tickets...everything is electronic now which is a major plus. I love the fact that just about everything is preserved the way it's always been. This is one of my favorite places to visit in Myrtle Beach!! I absolutely love playing the baseball pinball machines! Everyone knows if I'm near them I'm going to be playing them for a while. Even if I win the daily max of twice, I'm still going to play just for fun. There's tons of other games so there's something for everyone. My dad and I love to play the clown ball game where you try to knock the clowns down. I also love playing the basketball game as well. Even when it's very busy in the summertime they have people walking around making sure all the games are cleaned and ready for the next person. It's a place I've gone my whole life and its always remained pretty similar all those years. One major change is they let u load game cards now which makes it easier than using quarters. It's very family friendly. The boardwalk also runs right beside it which makes it so nice to walk right out to the beach from here. read more

It's a bunch of more modern games, where u can win tickets, and if you have 9 million tickets you might be able to get an iPod or something.... Sometimes it's fun to just let loose and reminisce of times when you were young and skeeball was your jam. Fun Plaza is still one of the few old school arcades still being manned at least in the Myrtle Beach area. Coin machines offer the familiar chinks of quarters from a newly crisp 5 dollar bill. From there, you're set to venture around from game to game. The standouts are the old vintage Baseball 'pinball-esque' games that line one of the walls beneath a glowing Neon light. On the opposite wall houses lanes of skee-ball for some nice good old-fashion fun before the days of LED and digitized screens. All of this plays to a backdrop of an opened garage door leading out to an ocean front view of the beach including a couple of Palmetto trees. The Arcade is a really nice escape back to childhood nostalgia. Maybe if you're lucky you'll hit the jackpot on one of the machines and cash all of your hundreds of tickets in for some sort of knick-knack. There's plenty of them in showcases around the place. When you've got your tickets all counted in, there's a cashier that will help you cash all of them in. Worth a stop if you're looking for something outside of beach time. read more

went to this arcade to play some games with the kids. while I'm their we noticed the games are very over priced compared to the same games at the arcade a block up from this one. also the attendant will not round up tickets for example we had 148 and they would not round up to 150 like normal arcades. so I'm the end we would have had tickets left over whether we played more games or not. I understand not wanting to lose out on your money to round up however if this is the case then the ticket prizes for games should be in 5 minute increments. read more

It's the massive inflation from halving the winnings from each play combined with doubling the price for any play. BRING CASH!!! Can't stress that enough!! They have some older games I've never even seen. We had issues with a few machines, but staff took care of us. There was a cool baseball machine my 6 year old dominated at! A smash the clown game that I somehow managed to not only get a high score but also pretty sure I broke my toe on it. Don't get excited next to machines! We spent 20 bucks, and that lasted like 3 hours, and we had a lot of fun making memories. read more

My son can hear the ding ding ding in an arcade from a mile away. Our family walk down the beautiful ocean walk came to an abrupt halt as our son's super sonic ears heard the "dings" a mile away. So we hooked a right into an old school arcade that only takes quarters. I absolutely loved the old school field which reminded me of a carnival and instantly I wanted carnival food. This place have all the old school games....Skee ball, air hockey and this list goes on. No it's not fancy but it is what I would expect from a boardwalk. The coin machine shorted us a few coins. When I brought it managements attention the manager proceeded to go through the process of feeding in a twenty and then counting out the quarters to show me it was impossible to short us. This was not the way to handle the situation; all the coins were going to come back to them anyway; playing the games. Very poor customer service. read more

Seemed like a fun place to go hang on the board walk. We didn't get to have fun because of the fact that no one had cash on them. There's an atm outside but I wasn't about to pay an extra $2-$3. There's a concession stand outside the venue that sells all types of cool drinks and treats - drinks, slushies, milkshakes, etc. Nice place to duck in and beat the heat and one of the more inexpensive spots on the boardwalk. We love this place because it takes quarters and the games are cheap. They don't have the newer high tech simulator games nor do they have many (if any!) video games, but they have inexpensive claw machines, loads of "win some tickets" types of games, skiball, hoop shooting and my favorite, old school pinball baseball games. Of course my kids spend their time on the games to win tickets so they can buy worthless dollar stores "prizes", but they love this arcade like no other. read more

You have to spend a lot to win a lot to get their knives, which I thought was their only worth it prices. Been going to this arcade since I was a kid and now I'm going with my daughter and granddaughter! Still has some of the old games in here that I played when I was a kid like the row old baseball machines. When I was a kid they cost a dime a game and now they are just a quarter, so not bad considering how long ago that was! I miss the the old bowling game that you rolled a small wooden bowling ball down the lane to knock down the pins. Most games are 25-50 cents each to make it family affordable unlike some of the newer arcades that have games that are $1 and up per game. Most every game these days spits out tickets that you collect to earn prizes and naturally the more tickets you get, the better the prizes. Probably spent $20 to win the granddaughter enough tickets to get about $5 worth of prizes, but it made her happy and its not something you do every day. If you like the older arcades that will remind you of a beach arcade from years past, especially one with a great view of the ocean, then then Fun Plaza is worth a visit. read more

There are auto cash tellers you can use to purchase a fun plaza card to play your games. Tickets that you win are automatically loaded onto the card after your game. This place is full of retro and classic arcade games. You can find Pacman and Skee Ball as well as an air hockey table along with other games. It's a classic boardwalk arcade and while it's not the best, you'll find yourself sinking in a decent amount of change to kill time. read more

The name says it all....FUN Plaza! Excellent arcade with lots of games for a quarter. Some games (a few) cost .50 but everything you really want to play is a quarter. The old fashion baseball game is so fun! Played several times and won a few stuffed animals for my girls. You can spend an hour or 2 there on $10....which is a deal and a great time.
