We stopped at Dave & Buster's Myrtle Beach and overall it was a fun stop. The place is huge inside, which was nice. We sat at the bar to grab something quick to eat and drink, but the service was pretty slow. It looked like there were only two bartenders working, and with it being spring break plus half-off games on Wednesday, it was definitely busy. One random thing I actually loved--the bar chairs! They had real back support and were super comfortable, not your typical stiff bar stools. We ordered boneless wings and fries. I love their fries, but the wings weren't my favorite--I think it was just the sauce we chose. Also, one of my biggest pet peeves: charging extra for sauce. They wanted $0.59 for an extra blue cheese... like, come on That said, the deal we got made it worth it. It was $39.99 and included $35 in game play, so the food basically came out to $5. With half-off games, we were able to stretch that into about an hour of play, which was great. Everything seemed clean, and our bartender was very nice despite being clearly overwhelmed. The 2 stars are for the efforts of the bartender and her trainee.... And I stress efforts, neither one knew what they were doing.... But they were kind. Absolutely 0 stars for the food! What a disaster..... we got nachos and a chicken fries and slider plate.... By the time they came out the pile of stale chips and a scoop of black guacamole aka the nachos the sliders were cold the chicken was cold and fries were hot.... I had to send the "nachos" back and had her take them off our bill. We asked for ranch for our chicken wings twice before we got litterally rotten ranch dressing. Dave & Busters Myrtle Beach it's really not that hard. It's nachos, chips cheese and all the other stuff you don't get. The bar seating area is great but if waiting on table service, the service is slow and subpar. The food wasn't the greatest either (we had hair in ours.... yikes!). Came in for a quick bite after the magic show. I really wanted to go to Bar Louie and was disappointed that it was permanently closed and most of the other restaurants were closed by the time we were getting out of the show. Food came out hot and tasty! The restaurant photographer came around our table and took family pictures and gave us a great discount because it was my son's 40th birthday. Chicken Cantina Nachos served to our table without most of the toppings, chicken on one chip and pico on the side (didn't ask for it to be on the side). When we told our server about the issue, he acted like we were being too critical and didn't see a problem with the food. He offered to take the nachos off our bill and when we said that was fine, he immediately took them away from the table and didn't offer to get them remade correctly. An Experience of Blatant Racism at Dave & Buster's - Myrtle Beach, SC I recently brought my son's sports team--seven well-behaved children--to Dave & Buster's in Myrtle Beach for a day of fun & team bonding. Each child purchased a $35 game card, played respectfully, & thoughtfully spent their credits on prizes. One young boy excitedly chose a small basketball with the tickets he earned. That moment of innocent joy was shattered shortly thereafter. As we were preparing to leave, I witnessed something no parent, guardian, or child should ever have to experience. A white, middle-aged, heavy-set woman with dark curly hair (circled in picture)--whom I later learned was a manager--pushed past me & got in the face of one of the Black children in our group. Without hesitation, in an aggressive & confrontational tone, she said directly to him: "You need to give that back to me because we know you stole that." The child looked absolutely terrified & confused. His voice trembling, he asked, "Ma'am?" trying to make sense of the accusation. Instead of de-escalating, she doubled down. She raised her voice & said: "I know you stole that & you need to give it back. Are you going to give it back to me?" When he tried to explain that he won the ball fairly, she got even closer to his face & said: "I know you are lying" The shock & horror I felt in that moment are hard to describe. This child--this innocent child--was being verbally assaulted & racially profiled right in front of his peers. I stepped in & said, "This child won this ball. Can you please step out of his face?" She responded saying: "He stole that ball. I have a description of the child who stole it & he looks just like him." Let's be clear: the only "description" that matched was the color of his skin. It was blatant racial profiling, & it was appalling. Even after explaining that the child had legitimately won the prize, she continued with her erratic, aggressive behavior & acted like she was going to get security. The children--all visibly shaken, my youngest son in tears--gathered around, terrified & understandably upset by what had just happened. After calming the children, I retrieved the game card used to claim the basketball & sought the manager out to confirm the transaction. She was in a meeting with several other staff members. I calmly presented the card & asked her to verify the purchase. I also requested that she apologize to the child. Shockingly, she turned to me & said: "I never accused that child." This was a flat-out lie--I am assuming because it was in front of other managers & she feared accountability. But thankfully, we were not alone. All 7 children, as well as bystanders who had witnessed the encounter, came forward & confirmed exactly what she said. Another family even approached us to say they were leaving early because of how horrified they were by her behavior. After some time, another employee (pictured in pink) pulled me aside & issued a sincere apology. She acknowledged that the conduct of the original manager was not appropriate, admitted that this was not the first incident involving this employee, & agreed that the situation had been handled poorly. I strongly urged them to conduct some sort of training in the workplace, as the impact of this traumatic experience will stay with these children forever. After realizing the magnitude of this issue and seeing all bystanders around corroborate the incident, the original manager was urged by a male manager (pictured in black polo), to give what could hardly be called an apology. She turned to the child & muttered "I'm sorry you misunderstood." No accountability. No sincerity. Just a disingenuous, condescending attempt to save face. This was not an apology--it was a refusal to take accountability for an act of clear racial bias & harmful behavior toward a minor. This is not just about one interaction. It's about a pattern of behavior that was acknowledged by her peers & the lasting damage it caused to a child who simply came to enjoy a day with his team. He was racially profiled, humiliated, & traumatized--forever impacting the sense of safety & dignity in public places for all of the children involved-- & he did absolutely nothing wrong. To the management at Dave & Buster's Myrtle Beach, you must do better. An apology is not enough. Action is required. This kind of racism and misconduct cannot be tolerated, especially from those in leadership positions who should be setting an example. I urge you to conduct a full investigation into this incident (this incident happened directly under a security camera) & provide immediate & appropriate consequences to the manager involved). This review is not written in anger, but in truth--& in the hope that it sparks accountability, justice, & meaningful change. read more

D&B is a great indoor entertaining spot for all ages especially on rainy or extreme temperature days. The front end could use some extra help or signage in directing patrons where to go for what they need..in this case if you want to just play the arcade, head to the back on the lefthand side. There's a self pay kiosk near the restrooms plus a staff member to answer any questions you have vs waiting in the long line up front for food and games. There's plenty of TVs and room at the bar if you want to watch any sports game. If you go in with a budget in mind you won't overspend but it can get pricy. Bathrooms were clean and had ample amount of stalls so not much of a wait. They could use more hand sanitizer or handwashing stations, some of the games/handles were sticky or greasy. read more

Had a blast and the employees were amazing! We were in town for 3 weeks in January/February and bought the winter pass (with play on blue and green games with a max of 1,000 pts). Well worth it for three afternoons of arcade fun. The staff helped us out each time, and Tanya was especially helpful in the gift shop on our last visit (thanks Tanya!!). I recommend going M-Th for cheaper games if you do opt to buy a card you can use to play on purple games (coin and claw games). The place was clean, not too crowded, and had an upbeat ambiance. Food was too pricy, but I forgot to use the discount (10%) that came with our winter pass. read more

But the moment it came time to cash out tickets, everything fell apart. My friend had nearly 10,000 tickets stolen -- yes, stolen -- by management. He had earned those points fair and square from a machine that continuously prompted "Spin Again," clearly encouraging continued play. When the machine stopped awarding points and he went to redeem them, the managers refused to honor the ticket total. They chalked it up to a "mechanical error" and refused to take responsibility. No apology. No solution. Just a cold dismissal and a wiped balance. That's not a business. That's theft. No different than a rigged casino that gets upset when you win too much. Bathrooms were dirty (paper towels in the sink, toilet paper all over the stalls), server was so slow we almost missed the opportunity to order food and then the last call for drinks went from I think we are calling last call soon to it's too late. Food was not as advertised and was not hot. The kale cesar had no kale. Even when I spoke up about the food I was told it was correct and there's kale at the bottom. Then how/why did you change them in the first place? It was almost like he was trying to drive people out of the bar. Well you did. If you like games than you know about this chain. They offer alot of fun for every age. They have some stuff here that are rides with virtual reality-based. Halo was the winner for my family as I got lots of video of them having a ball. Even though it's a entertainment center the food didn't entertain much. It's a general over fried everything and burgers. It took 20 minutes for a seat but you can wait at the bar while the kids play. The server was over busy and hard to catch. The best part of my visit was the balloon man. He made us some cool stuff for tips. read more

Let me first start by saying my rating could have been affected due to covid changes, but the visit was bittersweet for us. This location has an amazing amount of games that are priced well if you find a coupon like we had. The gaming consoles were unique. Our favorites included a cool Minecraft game that gives you cards and a halo shooter game. At the end we also had some very nice young men give us their tickets so our items were half a gift from them. Lol Now the restaurant, that was another topic. I know they were probably trying their best, but the ordering system was limited to those who had a strong internet. There was no wifi for people to order off the phone if you didn't have a strong internet, but they also didn't provide an alternative menu. Also, once I ordered drinks they never came and we were not able to get anyone's attention to ask about them. The food was ok though. I enjoyed my cheeseburger and fries but with no ketchup since they didn't bring that either. I think if I was able to return again it would be better, but I can only express what I experienced this visit. To end, overall I would recommend giving this location a visit but being mindful of the technical limitations and possibly low staffing. It's been two days and I'm still thinking about how bad our experience was here. We decided to come here for dinner and arcade games after a long day at broadway. We came as a family of five with two younger kids (5 and 7) and a newborn. We waiting for about 20 minutes with no one showing up to our table after being seated. The table next to us was a large table of about 10 people that was seated shortly after us. After our table and that table was seated they had gotten their drink orders and their drinks delivered and their waiter had gone to a neighboring two top table twice. I asked the waiter from their table if he knew If anyone was going to come to our table and he said he could do it (like we were a table not assigned to him) and he would be back. A couple minutes later he goes to the 10 top table and starts taking their food orders. We haven't even had someone come take our drink order at this point. So we had our two young kids go play games with my husband since there was no point waiting around for our food and it was clear it was going to be a while. I was actually so confused I loaded up my newborn to leave the table and go to the hostess stand and asked if we had ever gotten a waiter assigned to our table and they just forgot. It turns out it was the waiter that told us he could take our order for us and never did come back. All the hostess told me was "Well he's busy" and that I could go to the bar to make a to go order for food if I didn't want to wait for the waiter. So I had to take the stroller to the bar to place a to go order for dinner for our family, wait at a bar stool while it was prepared, then find a corner to nurse the newborn in since I we no longer had a booth to feed him at just to get dinner while the kids played arcade games. We walked past several other restaurants to get here that I would have eaten at instead if I knew the service would be so terrible. The only silver living of this experience is that the bar staff was absolutely amazing. They were so nice and helpful, several people came to check on me multiple times while waiting for the to go order.
