These little guys would be great for two people under 5'10" I am 6'3" was a bit cramped. My right arm was in my girls neck the entire ride. They are fun but it lost its luster after about 30 minutes. Price is a bit high but it is clearwater. read more

You can find this walk up rental spot right on Clearwater beach, near the Hyatt, Surf Shop and McDonald's. We wanted to rent bikes and decided on a double surrey instead. They also offer golf carts, segways, etc. The owner was so helpful that he suggested the surrey as a way to save more money. It was about $39/hour. You can't ride very far because of the size of the surrey and bike rules as you approach the pier, so one hour was plenty time. He even told us not to worry if we slightly exceeded the one hour rental because "it's all about creating memories." That really stuck with me! I really enjoy meeting people that love making others smile. It's something that's not typical these days. We took his advise and made plenty of cool memories while pedaling up and down the strip for sure! It's an affordable and fun way to experience Clearwater Beach. read more

I was unemployed and went to live with a friend to help upkeep and maintain his property in Clearwater Beach. He gave me a bicycle to use but going to either of the Bridges over Tampa or the other Bridge which I forgot the name can be a challenging workout if you wish not to do so. I wanted something faster and since originally I was going to rent a Harley Davidson Motorcycle I heard from a native that you can rent scooters. For almost $42 for 1 hour you can get a decent 50 cc scooter with fuel,taxes and glasses to drive around the Clearwater beach area without breaking a sweat if you do not feel like doing so and looking for fun. Only 4 stars because you cannot drive their scooters or their other vehicles over the bridges beyond Clearwater beach. Otherwise worth it. Cheaper to rent if you go beyond 2 hours but I did not feel like doing that. read more

What a fun way to cruise around Clearwater Beach! I've visited Clearwater a few times and always watched these vehicles zip around the streets, but this time, I decided to give it a try for myself! My husband and I shared one of the vehicles. They were easy to maneuver, and the guides give you a map of the areas the vehicles are allowed. In an hour, we were able to go nearly the whole length of the "allowed" area on the map. I felt safe in the vehicles as well following all normal traffic laws. My only suggestion would be to avoid renting during a high traffic time so you can cover more ground in the time you rent the vehicle for. read more

I can't speak of all the locations on Clearwater Beach, but I can for sure say skip the one at Sheppard Hotel. The equipment is absolutely unsafe and cheap. We went through 5 Scoot Coupes, 3 Scooters before we gave up. The man at the counter Bob was rood, un prepared for any business, even skipped me twice while we were in the middle of a transaction. They don't have any business operating and renting equipment that I honestly believe is unsafe. read more

We rented bikes from Fun Ride earlier this week. The rates were very reasonable ($8 per hour) and we found a coupon for a free second hour in one of the maps that they had in the lobby of our hotel. The owners are friendly and they even gave us free drink tickets for crabby's when we were done. The part that really showed us how great the owners are happened the next day. The battery in our rental car died and we had no one to jump it. The owner (sandy's husband) went out of his way to help us and got our car started. We tried to give him money and he would not accept it. He even offered us another drink ticket. It saved our day and made me remember there are still good people out there!! read more

Such a great family activity! The little ride-on machines (mini segway) was so much fun for my son to ride. He kept up with me on a bike. We rented bikes, a surrey, and a segway from here. The guys who work here are so nice and helpful. One so patiently helped our 9-yr old learn how to ride the segway. They was a delay in the beginning because they couldn't unlock all of our bikes...and because of that, they graciously charged us for an hour but let us ride for two. If you want a leisurely bike ride through the beach area, definitely rent from here. And definitely stop for a minute to speak with the owner. Such friendly people :) read more

A fun option to get around Clearwater beach, 4 stars because it was a little bit expensive but I expected nothing less for a vacation spot. Originally I saw people driving around in the little coop cars and wanted to rent one with my boyfriend but we went with a scooter instead since my boyfriend knew how to ride one and it ended up being a cheaper option! We rented for 4 hours and it's advertised to be $69 + $5 for an additional rider, but the total came out to be $90~ with the tax and gas. read more

Wanted to rent a bike to ride to Pinellas trail and informed I could only have it for three hours with the vague explanation of the bikes being needed in the afternoon. The lady here was unpleasant to work with, and perhaps if she would have been kind about my issue, it would have been a different story. Like any vehicle rental company, a contract of waver of liability is required, however they won't give you a copy or let you take a picture of the contract you're signing. She says it's because they paid a lot of money to create the contract. As a businessman dealing in the legal system for the last 14 years, anyone who won't give you a copy of the contract you're signing, is a sign of a shady business. Probability has it, that you won't ever have to reach the point of a legal battle over a contract, unless someone gets hurt. And even if you do, you can get a court order for a copy of the contract you signed. However, this is an argument of business practices and principles. And how trustworthy is a business that doesn't even give you a copy of the terms you're agreeing to? Your decision, but I definitely don't recommend working with these people. There's another place in Tarpon Springs we might check out and a local trolly to make getting there inexpensive. Enjoy! read more

We beeped all the way down the beach and over the bridge - it was a complete blast! Everyone smiled and waved as we went past, it was so fun! The staff was very nice - we loved the "fun coup" was like Mr. Bean's adorable little red car. Do this! Great for a cloudy day, or anytime really. Tip: If you are staying at the Hyatt it's 10% off. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We rented a scoot coupe last minute and it was pretty easy to do? Except that we had to get to Clear water from Indian Rocks because there weren't any available. They even let us pick a color and held it for us. However I was less thrilled with the actual coupe. It's supposed to be driven like a vehicle, but any time you go over 30mph, the thing fishtails like crazy. ( Our friends rented from the the Indian Rocks location and had the same issue). This would have been mostly fine except it was never mentioned a pretty scary the first few times we tried to keep up with the[very slow placed] traffic. The coupe was LOUD and was not a smooth ride. Even going over the reflectors in the middle of the lanes was a nerve wracking experience. The box on the back of the scoot coupe was broken which we also didn't know until going over the reflector and hearing it slam down. I wouldn't recommend the scoot coupe, but I'd probably give fun ride rentals another shot with a scooter or bicycle next time. read more

A group of 6 of us rented scooters through fun rides. 4 of us got scooters and the other 2 went to the "Clearwater Scooter Rentals" down the street. The one down the street asked for a 250 dollar deposit from the 2 of us! That was ridiculous, so the 2 went back to fun rides who set us up so fast. They extended the other 4's time so we would all have an hour with no extra cost!! They were so helpful!! Highly recommend. Amazing customer service and so friendly! read more
