They also have laser service here . Every MA and receptionist ( I talked to John, Vincent, Co Cindy is very sweet too) , though they have a high volume of phone calls, they always make sure every patient and the problem is well taken care of. Excellent Providers, they have a strong team of experienced MD and PAs ( David and Teresa were my Dermatology PAs , they were so kind and knowledgeable), very devoted to their patients. I called four times trying to schedule a new-patient appointment. I missed two return calls from the Irvine office, even though I had originally called the Fountain Valley office. Apparently, it doesn't matter which First OC Dermatology location you call--you get the same call center. What is especially frustrating is that, every time I called, I had to start from scratch. Despite repeatedly explaining that I was a NEW patient and was RETURNING a call, I was asked for the same information: my first and last name, address, phone number, insurance provider, insurance member number, and medical group. Then I was told I wasn't in their system. Well, of course I wasn't--I was a NEW patient. After four calls and two missed return calls, I finally gave up. Scheduling did not return my additional calls, and the entire process was unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. This is not how a prospective patient should be treated when simply trying to make an appointment. I reported the problem to my referring doctor, who was able to provide a referral to another dermatology practice. Within 48 hours, I had the new referral and successfully scheduled an appointment on my first call. I can't speak to the quality of First OC Dermatology's doctors or medical staff because I never got that far. But based solely on my experience with their scheduling process and call center, I would not recommend them. If getting an appointment is this difficult, I have no interest in finding out how difficult it might be to get anything else done.

She also gave me really helpful advice on post-treatment care and created a clear plan moving forward, which made me feel very comfortable and confident in the treatment. It's rare to find a place where the staff is both highly knowledgeable and genuinely takes the time to explain things in detail. I've been to several laser clinics before, and this has been one of the best experiences by far. I will definitely be continuing my treatments here and highly recommend them.
