I went to Funk and Associates after I had a major accident in 2014. I was T-boned by a driver in a Malibu and I was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. I was in the ICU 10 days and rehab 13 days. I received a broken hip (a full hip replacement), 7 broken ribs, a broken neck and a contusion on my right breast. The other driver died on the scene. When I got out of rehab I had rehab at home for a month (also I forgot to mention I was 65 yrs old I contacted Mr. Funk and spoke to him one time his associate came to the apartment where I lived with my daughter and two dogs. The associate acted very nasty when I would contact him. I didn't win anything my daughter's insurance paid $30000 and my insurance (different vehicle) paid a second $30000 which he kept took out his fee and paid off the other people ( I don't know who) I still have scars on my butt , breast and head. I would not recommend funk and associated..they don't give a dam about anyone but using you the client's for the money. Mr funk actually says he will call you personal about your case dont expect a call from him..if your case is worth 100 or less thousand. They do not care they won't even do nothing for you..this was my first case I won they take more I wish I've done research before call them..please please please make more call for a lawyer before making the mistake and calling them.. read more

I was in a horrible accident in November 2014 (about 10:30 am on a Saturday morning) where the driver ran the red light and T-boned me in my daughter's SUV. My car flipped over it took about 3 hrs to get me from under the SUV. I was in the hospital (I had 7 broken ribs, broken neck, broken hip and fractured head) and rehab for Thanksgiving but home for Christmas. I lost my job because I ran out of leave and did I mention I was 65 yrs old when the accident happened. The other driver died he was 28 yrs old he had an insurance card on his person which the police gave my daughter the information. I called my daughter's insurance and the other driver's insurance but got no response then I called Mr Funk. I was disappointed because I was told the driver was covered under that insurance and was paid by my insurance and my daughter's insurance. I don't understand because I was not on my daughter's insurance but she advised her insurance I had permission to drive. The other driver's insurance didn't state the insurance was no good it sent a letter he wasn't covered. Funk told me the owner was deceased and the car was given to the driver (his son) (which means he had permission to drive) The money I received was $30,000 from my insurance and $30,000 from my daughter's insurance (he kept one check to pay back Medicare bill, my disability insurance and himself) I didn't think this was fair as I didn't win my case and I still owed $207,000 in hospital expenses. I don't think I was treated fairly by Mr. Funk or the other insurance as the driver was given permission to drive that car and should have covered my expenses. I now have a hip replacement, a scar on my forehead and no job as I don't feel I I can work anymore for I always feel a little dizzy I don't think anybody cared because the other driver passed away (I felt very badly for the family) and I am still living (God is good) Mr Funk could have tried harder to help me. read more

I do NOT recommend using this firm at all. The 2 biggest disapppinments was my Attorney Benavides told me he would make sure to get all the information I asked for and told me 3 weeks I would get my check, it has now been over 2 1/2 months. He will not return my voicemails and only call back I get is from the front desk. NUMBER 2 he did not get the return he told me I'd expect and the money was very low and if I had gone with a firm that was willing to put a little extra effort in I would have got more money and MUCH better service. read more

Funk & Associates recently helped me out on an accident I was involved in. I was hit by another driver and from the start the other driver's insurance was nothing but trouble and wouldn't even offer to pay for my ER bill. I'd seen Funk & Associates commercials before and figured I'd give them a call. Right from the start Attorney Funk let me know what they could do to assist me and had me work with Attorney Mason. Funk & Asss. are a total disappointment to every thing that the Capital of Texas stands for. Not only did they take my case and keep me on hold for almost a year, they dropped me and my case when I needed them most. I am a single mother of four, I care for my elderly grandmother and assist with my uncle whom has downs syndrome when I am not working a full time job. To this day September 14 2015 is still effecting my regular routines, I try to be an active member at my church Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church and am hindered from participating as much as I would like. Health is a big concern given my family background, exercise is periodic for limited threshold of pain. As a pedestrian, I was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street with right of way at an intersection. Not only am I suffering from post traumatic syndrome, I am still suffering from pains that I fear will always haunt me. Yanni Funk referred me to a chiropractic center that was less than helpful and I now suffer from additional pain from the doctor trying a "hands on approach" that went wrong causing more problematic issues in my spinal area.
