Great way to see the city & have fun! My brother and I took the tour when he was in town for a visit. It was nice to sit & relax, drink a beer, and see the city instead of trying to drive him around to show him everything. Plus I saw and learned things about CLT that I wouldn't have otherwise known about. Like the haunted building! CHURCH! We went on the "adults only" Funny Bus on Saturday, March 4th. We had a couple visiting from Greensboro and they wanted to see downtown Charlotte. Also, we saw areas we haven't seen and we've lived here for 23 years. We were fortunate to have wonderful weather (sunny day). Thomas was our guide/comedian and Andrew was our driver. Thomas interspersed background about Charlotte history and sights with his comedy He got people on the bus involved and we enjoyed ourselves. Although we don't mind profane language, it was a tad too much. Andrew was an excellent driver. Never felt uncomfortable. I would recommend this bus tour. read more

On our trip to Charlotte, we thought of doing something fun on a Sunday night and the funny bus came across as an option. We reached the destination at ten minutes before our scheduled time. But the bus was nowhere to be found! Thats because they have a very confusing address. This address was 10 minutes away by car. Thankfully we realised in time- inspite of being tourists- and we quickly ubered. The bus pretty much stays in the stop for atleast 20 minutes whereby the host/bus conductor asks everyone to introduce themselves. So we did not miss the bus!! Other than this incident, the overall experience was a hoot! Our host was super funny, engaging and entertaining. We made a couple of stops for pizza and beer and pretty much finished the ride in 90 minutes. It was a fun experience and we got to know Charlotte a little better in the process! read more

This was $25 well-spent! I came to Charlotte with a couple girlfriends who lamented about how visit the city so often but never invite them. Ok, boom... Roadtrip! Our last day in town, one of the ladies found this activity and suggested we give it a try. It's described as a comedy bus tour around the city where you can drink, beer or wine... they frown upon the hard stuff. On a brisk Fall afternoon this proved to be the perfect end to a weekend trip. You can choose between the PG version and the R version, and of course we chose R. A few reviews expressed discomfort with the racial tone of the jokes. Yes, some of the jokes are racial in nature so if that's not your thing you may want to stick to the PG bus tour. I personally found them to be hysterical! They aren't over-the-top jokes imo but if you err on the side of political correctness then you may not appreciate the humor the way we did. Please don't be discouraged though... I read that the PG version is supposed to be child-friendly and regardless of the jokes, it's still a great tour of the city and the history is amazing. All in all, I very much enjoyed myself as did my party. I would love to go back in the spring, when it's nice outside, and give it another go. Here's a tip: the pickup point is just outside a little indoor market. This is a great place to pick up some snacks, and I believe they sell wine in the back. read more

I went on the rated-r tour thinking it would be funnier and it was hardly rated r and was not funny. This is such a fun experience! I'd recommend this tour to anyone in Charlotte whether you're visiting or been living here for years! Purchasing your ticket is easy - just pick your time slot online and then show up on time. They send you reminders with your ticket so that's a nice touch. You can park in the 7th street garage and get your ticket validated so that's always a win. Also it's BYOB!!! Whoop! You can bring beer and wine for your tour. They have can openers, cups and allow coolers! So bring as much as you'd like! If you forget your booze there's a shop in the 7th street market where you can grab some beer or wine before you go! Then be prepared to laugh. From the moment you get on the bus you're laughing! I really encourage you to let loose and have a good time! Talk to your neighbors, wave at folks walking by! Yell out the windows and take plenty of pictures! It makes the experience so much better! The energy on our bus is great. I loved Brandon! He was so funny and kept us laughing the whole time! And some of the facts about the city were quite interesting! And just in case you're wondering - You make one stop so you can run to the bathroom and stretch your legs. BEST WAY TO SEE CHARLOTTE WHILE HAVING FUN My friend and I were in town and wanted to see Charlotte but also relax and enjoy the history. This bus was an absolute blast. The rated R trip with Ginny was more than I could have expected. Ages ranging from mid 20s to late 50s, the entire group joined in on the fun. If you don't enjoy comedy, this is not for you but if you're a fun person looking to relax and enjoy, its perfect. BYOB, historical facts, humor and making new friends. Worth the money and the time. We went on the Funny Bus last week as we had some family in town. We purchased the 'R-rated' tour online ($25) for Sunday. In addition, we were able to bring our own alcohol on the bus (beer & wine only- no glass), plus our cooler. When we got on the bus we noticed we were the only ones drinking- maybe because it was Sunday? Also, the average age on the bus was probably 65+. Were we on a bus with a Church Group? LOL- Just kidding! Oh well, that didn't stop us! The tour started in Uptown and went throughout Sound End, Music Factory, Noda and Plaza Midwood with a 15-minute stop at Heist Brewery. For living in Charlotte I thought the tour did a nice overview of the city. The comedian had a mix of history and comedic jokes, which were funny, but I did not think the comedy was 'R-Rated'. Nothing he said had me cracking up; however a lot of the history he mentioned was super interesting. I'm not sure if he was holding back because of our crowd, but I wished he was a little more funnier. A lot of the jokes were predictable; however don't get me wrong- we were laughing. I think a lot of the experience has to do with the group you are with. Overall, for visitors or even Charlotteans, I would definitely recommend the Funny Bus! read more

Visiting from out of town and this tour kept popping up on my research. We had a free night so we booked a tour. There are PG13 and R rated tours, I picked the R which had some vulgar jokes but I didn't find it too much. It's BYOB for beer and wine and the 7th street market is on the corner of the pickup spot where you can buy alcohol there. Our tour guide was awesome, and we drove through uptown, NODA, dilworth, plaza midtown. He pointed out a lot of the main attractions, and some other silly points along the way to make us laugh. He dabbled in some of the history and background but overall made some jokes along the way. The group on the bus was a fun crowd and it was fun to see a lot of the city in 1.5 hours. It was a cool touristy thing to check out and have a good laugh! read more
