We were visiting Charlotte and found the funny bus tour on Groupon! The weather was rainy at first but the bus was on time and the weather did not stop the show they arrived on time And I was able to watch the passengers get on the bus it was very diverse the comedian on the day we were there was Brandon Wright! He was very funny and he also informed me about different areas around Charlotte especially chicken places that we could find good eats I can't remember the drivers name I know it started with a K but she was very personable and made the ride safe and enjoyable definitely something you want to do in the area and I'm sure I'll do it again when I come back. I even enjoyed driving through the light hood!! You Will know exactly what I'm talking about when you get on the bus and enjoy the ride!! read more

While many people find gay jokes amusing, others who have gay children or who themselves are gay will find these jokes to be insulting, hurtful, and insensitive. Thank goodness we live in a time where inclusion and acceptance are more the norm. There is plenty of comedic material available without cheap hits to a group who only recently feel something better than marginalized and targeted. I was aware beforehand that this tour was R rated but was surprised by the cheap use of this tactic which gives the city of Charlotte the vibe of intolerance and bigotry. This is great if you're looking for a unique way to sightsee. You get to see a lot of the city and learn about Charlotte's history. Roxanne was our comedian. She was funny and personable. We booked the PG-13 tour, which was perfect for us. Each comedian is probably different. On this tour, there was only one curse word (very mild) and nothing crude-not even an innuendo (that I can recall). read more

Having never been to Charlotte, NC before I was looking to see as much of the city as I could. The Funny Bus tour gave me just that and so much more! The tour is BYOB (beer and wine only) and tickets are $25. There are PG-13 tours that run on the weekends and R rated tours that run throughout the week and weekends as well. Our tour guide, Thomas was adorable, super funny and extremely knowledgeable about the area. I had a great time laughing at the jokes, seeing the city and taking in all the areas we visited. I visited Charlotte from 10/20-10/22. I found this tour doing a Google search. I had the most amazing time on the Funny Bus. I didn't want it to end. The host Brandon or Bryon depending on which review you're leaving is hysterical. I laughed for the entire duration of the tour. He is extremely knowledgeable on Charlotte's history too. If you haven't been to a comedy club or are super sensitive if someone pokes fun at you, this tour isn't for you. I highly recommend the Funny Bus. BYOB and gratuity! I was very excited to go on the funny bus, ready to laugh, learn and have fun. It was supposed to rain that afternoon so I thought the tour would be a good idea. Not so much. There were a lot of mike problems so I felt like there might have been some missed information or jokes. The jokes - not funny. The most I could muster were a few smiles. It was supposed to be an R-rated tour, but it was more pg-13, with only a smattering of curse words. I was expecting more. The comedian was Roxanne. If you get her, don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. There also really wasn't that much information or history. Also, the driver drove really fast so you have to stay on your toes if want to actually see what the host is talking about. Only one stop for pix of the skyline. So, if you want a mildly amusing ride through Charlotte, tidbits of information, and an excuse to get drunk with a bunch of other people, then the funny bus is for you. Oh, and sit on the right side, not the driver's side; the windows are more aligned with the seats. read more
