Clean, organized, plenty of room for the dogs including a huge fenced in are , in the country and clean kennels to accommodate all size of pets. So impressed. Ann gave me a tour and didn't rush me, she also listened about what concerns I might have asay a first time client with my rescue dog. As you know our pets are considered family, so I could tell from talking to Ann that she was very knowledgeable about rescue animals which was truly important to me and my pet. We've always trusted Dr. Ed, Dr. Lori, and we're happy now to bring our babies to see their daughter-Dr. Tritt! You will not find more caring, and knowledgeable doctors! I was grateful for the jar of cookies right by the door to bribe my pup with, and I was excited to see a "Fear Free Groomer" decal on the bulletin board. I made it clear I was not asking for early grooming--simply for him to sit safely in a holding area or kennel until his scheduled time. Instead of a simple "yes" or "no," I was met with an extraordinarily argumentative response. The owner lectured me on why arriving 15 minutes early was unacceptable, claiming that sitting in a kennel prior to a session would ruin my dog's experience. This made little sense given that my dog is a 10-year-old senior pet who has been groomed peacefully his entire life. She then made a strange comparison to human hair appointments, asking what I would expect if I showed up 15 minutes early for my own haircut. As a human, I would expect to wait quietly in the waiting room until my appointment time--which is all I was asking my dog to do in a kennel. She even went so far as to claim she would have to "babysit" him while he waited in the kennel. When I repeatedly asked what my actual options were, the hostility only continued. Given that she said that first-time check-ins naturally require extra time for intake and paperwork, arriving slightly early should have been a non-issue. I spoke with a friend who is also a veterinarian afterward, who explained that dogs naturally experience a brief spike in physiological stress markers during travel and arrival, and that sitting quietly in a crate for 15 minutes actually gives an experienced senior dog a chance to decompress before being handled. For an establishment that markets itself around a "luxury" experience, I found the customer service was surprisingly rigid, rude, and combative. I took my business to a fantastic local groomer who was kind, accommodating, and happy to help. Customer service matters, and there are far too many great options in the area to tolerate being treated this way.
