We used this service on the recommendation of a neighbor (with a golden) who said the service was "reasonably priced". (The amount was similar to our regular groomer.) They arrived 15 minutes late and left hair all over my lawn and nicked his paw trimming the hair... She charged me double what I pay my groomer and said sometimes "naughty" dogs are more expensive ... stating, "he kept sitting down". OLD DOG- bad leg. Non-aggressive...just OLD. I didn't have as bad of an experience as some of these other dog owners, but it was just bad enough for me to find a new groomer. I had one groomer the first time and a different groom the second time so both of them were just getting used to cutting my dog's fur. The second groomer got cancelled one time so they rescheduled my appointment and sent me someone else. I explained how I wanted her cut and he appeared to understand but cut her just the opposite of what I wanted. The second groomer cut my dog's fur two more times and was finally getting it the way I like it when i got a call that said she'd gone out of town on a family emergency and I was offered a new appointment with the owner. The haircut finally met my expectations so I scheduled the next appointment with the owner and the day of the appointment halfway through the quoted arrival time, I got a call to reschedule as her dryer was not working. I was offered a time a week later but was told the owner would not be mobile grooming any longer. I told the person on the phone I would call back. I called back and reluctantly took the appointment but subsequently cancelled because I felt 4 groomers in six appointments was too much. Since I was previously used to an independent mobile groomer who was the only one who groomed my dog, I found another mobile groomer who does the same type of business. My dog had her hair cut today and it only took an hour, she followed my instructions, it cost less and more importantly she did a great job! I personally would not recommend Fur on the Fly for anyone who is used to the same groomer every time. They also have a habit of cancelling at the last minute. I also got charged an extra $9 to dremmel her nails (by multiple groomers) only to find out later that it was included in the total cost and the groomer did not put that fee on the charge slip. I guess I tipped better than I thought! I love the concept of mobile grooming as it fits my personal situation. Wish I could give this place a zero. We have given one to many chances to this grooming place. They messed up my golden doodles haircuts multiple times and this was their last chance. They RUSH THE HAIRCUT and do not take the time to ensure it is done right. Then after this last grooming he ended up getting an ulcer on his entire cornea due to the groomer getting something in his eye. They want to try and "fix it" but you can not fix an injury. I do not recommend this groomer to anyone and hope no one has the same issues we have and hope any dog that gets a cut/grooming goes to another groomer. read more

We have been using them since Covid shutdowns in March of 2020. Very friendly staff. Of course, it's a little more pricey, but you're paying for the convenience and well worth it when you have an elderly pet that is difficult to load and unload in your vehicle. Definitely less stressful. Trinity is the best! read more

This grooming company is garbage they make all the appointments so they can line up work and when the time comes for your appointment they don't show up and give you a poor excuse such as the groomer was in a bad car accident or the time bore last the groomer all of a sudden got sick the lie on the fly today I'm sitting here waiting for the groomer I took a day of work which means I lost 500 dollars no one showed up so I called them to ask where the groomer is the lady started liking on the fly well i tried to call you but you have 4 account then the groomer called off so to bad for you my advice is never use these liars you will waste your time and money as I said in the beginning total GARBAGE !!!!!!!!!!! read more

I wish I had looked at all these other reviews beforehand, I would not have bothered with making an appointment. We lost our beloved English Bulldog an hour after this groomer came to our home , we requested that we would assist with lending a hand perhaps with calming or lifting before our dog entered their van to which we were told no , after what I felt was close to an hour or so our dog was brought out and into our home barely breathing, discolored tongue, blood shot eyes and ready to collapse , after immediately rushing our pet to animal emergency we learned of a lung fungal infection, and asked the veterinarian what brought on this all of the sudden , and in a nutshell to our knowledge we were not aware of an infection, (obviously I won't place any fault on what wasn't known), however what is certain had the dog not been overly stimulated and experiencing an hour worth of trauma , we would not have lost our pet on this day, I honestly have to wonder if this individual knew the difference between panting and struggling to breathe, at what point should you tell us something isn't right!? After an hour!? After rapid loud drying with the blower!? The level of unprofessionalism is mind blowing , dog could not regain control of her breathing after this and was put down by vets recommendation, I should also include our pet was only 6 years old without any other medical conditions and it was her birthday, Fur On The Fly denies any wrong doing, and takes no responsibility for this event read more

We had been using this company for grooming our mini Golden doodle for about a year. They come right to your home and groom in a van in your driveway. Pretty cool huh! The first several appointments with one particular groomer went great. Then the last 4-5 appointments have been ridiculous. They give you a two hour time window when the groomer will arrive, which was never accurate even from the beginning. There have been family emergencies and food poisoning and unexpected baby births which caused cancellation after cancellation and rescheduled 4-6 more weeks out. Doodles hair keeps growing. So today's appointment was the last straw! With groomer arrival scheduled for between 9:30 and 11:30 at 10:15 we get a call that the groomer had a family emergency. And so they wait until 10:15, after we have given our little Daisy medication to calm her, to cancel. Others may have the patience for this consistent disregard for other people's time, and down right lameness, I am done. Getting another appointment elsewhere took all of 10 minutes. read more

Everything went well. They arrived during the scheduled time,the girl was nice, my dog handled the bath well and she smelled good. Within 24 hours my dog had hives. It was 4th of July weekend so I contacted the owners thru email and just asked for what they used to wash her thinking it was an allergic reaction. by the time I got her into the vet after the weekend, my dog was bleeding. The vet informed me it wasn't hives they were sores my dog had a skin infection, the vet said it was a very serious infection and my dog probably had a skin abbrasion where bacteria was introduced. the only change in her day was the bath. I informed the owner and asked how they cleaned between baths. she replied "(rubber brush) we use this in the bath so it is soaped and rinsed for every dog." maybe I am reading it wrong but that makes it sound like they clean it because they are cleaning the dog. Either way they should be disinfected between baths not just "soaped" if they did that it wouldn't have cost me over $200 in vet bills and my dog wouldn't have lost spots of her beautiful silver fur for 2 months. it's not worth it I will drive to a pet groomer. Also since the first reply saying she would look into it and send me pictures of the brush and contact the vet I haven't heard from the owner although I have contacted her mutilple time. if you love your dog don't risk it. read more
