Well, I was very hopeful when I took my 84 yr mom here for a new couch. The selection is good, the salesperson was friendly, and we left with couch scheduled with free delivery.... Unfortunately, it was never delivered and when requesting an update I was told I could pickup or cancel. Wow, not what I expected! Long story short.... I think this was a scam! The owner canceled the order, agreed to refund, said he completed the refund, I called to follow-up on the refund and over 14 days later, still no refund! My recommendation would be to absolutely avoid this place! In the end we went to Furniture Fair Outlet for a stress free experience AND paid less for more - purchased a nice sofa, paid for delivery, and paid junk king to remove her old coach. read more

Fantastic experience with this establishment! Found the furniture we wanted in exactly the style we were looking for. Probably the easiest furniture transaction we have had since moving here in 2020. Salespeople were responsive and friendly without being pushy and the customer service was top notch! This will probably be a longer review, but I want to make sure all of the context is here for others. Plus, based on what I've seen in other unfavorable reviews, the owner, Jack, tends to lash out against individuals leaving criticism. With that being said... My wife and I came to Furniture Connection in search of outdoor furniture after visiting several other stores and feeling like we were being overcharged. We had been to their previous location in the mall before, walked around, and thought their furniture looked nice. So, we decided to take a closer look. Jack was the first person we interacted with after he finished helping another customer. My wife and I found an outdoor table and chairs we liked, but the chairs were tan, and we wanted to order them in gray. We also found a sofa and glider/rocker set with a fire pit. Although we weren't set on the fire pit at first, Jack had his staff move it near the set, and it turned out to be a perfect fit. We loved everything, and he assured us the chairs could be ordered in gray, so we were ready to move forward. Jack had to step away, so Jill came over to finalize the paperwork. At that point, both Jack and Jill treated us well and gave us a great price (plus a little extra for being military). We arranged for the table and chairs to be delivered in mid-September 2024 since our backyard was being worked on. The sofa, chairs, and fire pit were scheduled for delivery in early October 2024. The table was delivered on time, but we were told the chairs were backordered and would arrive in two weeks. Two weeks passed, and we received the same story: the manufacturer was behind. In the meantime, the other furniture was delivered. By Halloween--over a month past the chairs' expected delivery--we still hadn't received them. Despite our repeated follow-ups, we were told the manufacturer was delayed. When we mentioned we needed the chairs for a family gathering, they offered to send the tan ones temporarily, with the promise to swap them for gray ones "in a week." Weeks turned into months. By December, it became clear the chairs weren't coming. Frustrated, my wife looked up reviews of other customers with similar issues. We decided to request a refund through our credit card company. Since the purchase was made on two different cards, including an Apple Card, we started the dispute process with Apple as we were familiar with their process. However, we didn't have an itemized receipt--only a total for the entire purchase. We assumed the company would handle the refund appropriately when contacted by the credit card company. Instead, Jill reached out, offering a $500 credit if we kept the tan chairs. After discussing it with my wife, we reluctantly agreed, figuring we'd never get the gray ones anyway. Jill asked me to cancel the dispute, promising the credit would be processed. Wanting to resolve the issue, I contacted Apple to cancel the dispute. Unfortunately, I later learned they wanted me to submit the claim again, then repay the balance with the credit applied. There was back-and-forth which caused further delays. Then came an unprofessional email from Jack: "As the owner of the company, I was very disappointed in how you handled this situation. We worked very hard for you and gave you an incredible deal. We were in contact with you and even gave you loaner chairs to use in the interim. If the invoice is not paid by the time I arrive in the morning, I have already contacted our legal team and the local authorities. By doing the chargeback, you have committed felony theft. This is your final request to rectify this matter; otherwise, legal and criminal actions will be taken Monday morning. Clermont County confirmed today they will file a warrant for your arrest. I have to say this matter will change how we do business in 2025. When people ask why we changed how we do business, I will point to your picture on the wall. The ball's in your court. We went to the slowly dying Eastgate Mall to visit Furniture Connection. Not only do they have regular indoor furniture, but also a nice selection of outdoor furniture. What is nice is that this is a small business and owned and operated by one guy, John. Not gobs of commissioned sales people up your butt. We found the furniture we were looking for and the price was great. We did some post-shopping spree comparisons and we would have double (at least) for the same stuff. The owner jack is an ass. Literally was about to give 6k plus worth of business and then some more for our new home. After giving us a package deal, he decided he was going to raise the price of our agreement, and then proceeded to cancel our order. His coworker jill took 2 hours to try and build a custom couch and couldnt even present something tangible and reasonable that we could see nor could communicate clearly what she built. We literally dedicated 6 hours of time trying to build up a design for our new place, got excited for the product and unexpectedly had it cancelled by an emotionally low iq owner( Jack). What a way to tank his own sale. If you're considering even trying to build something you want you'll regret the time you invest since you have to close on his timeline. Also he states hes going to leave you alone when your looking "so he doesnt hover" however it is an excuse for him to putz off somewhere else as he is too uncomfortable dealing with social interaction. Would rate lower if possible. Purchased a chair here for $800. Was not informed upon delivery that the power source for the chair was not delivered with the chair. Called the store and was told would be in next week. Called each week (4) calls and was told next week each time. The store representative was very rude on this call today (12/26/24 at 1158am. ) He began the call with an argument with n my time of purchase (not a great way to begin when you have not received what you paid for) and was again stating the old tale of "next week." I lost my temper and went off on the rep. I then called the leasing company and BBB to address what he refuses to. The leasing company called the store and by a miracle he said it would be ready by 1600hr. I would not shop here again nor would I send anyone I know here. The staff are rude (mainly owner) and the furniture is the quality of Big Lots. Save yourself the time and the hassle and go to another store. Bought a couch priced over 3 grand. The couch started bowing in the middle. Owner tried to tell me it was the cushions??? Sent pictures proving it was the frame. Took a day off of work for a repair man to come look at it and agree it was in fact the frame. Now took another day off of work for a repair man to come pick up the couch to fix. Time given between 9:30 and 10. At 10:30 I had not heard anything, reached out and the repair man is no longer coming, with no heads up or warning. I had to reach out to them, so a second day wasted on their faulty product. I will now have to take a 3rd day from work to hopefully see if they show up to fix their mistake. Tuesday, my friend and I went into this store to test some couches out. As soon as we walked in a nice guy greeted us and asked us if we needed help. We said no and that we were just looking. We were sitting on one of the couches after testing the recliner when a bigger guy with white hair (probably a manager or someone who thinks he was our dad) came up and very rudely told us to not be messing around on the furniture (we were just sitting and talking about the couch ). He then proceeded to say in a rude, raised tone voice that the couches are expensive and if we break it we buy it. Sir we aren't fat and we aren't jumping on your couch. We were SITTING. I have a house and I'm always on the look out for furniture so the fact that we were rudely confronted like we were seen as 15 year old boys was so out of pocket and ridiculous. Don't go in this store if you are just wanting to see what they have if you are a young adult. My husband and I bought a sectional from this store. Several days later I called because the recliner would not work. They brought a new piece of the sectional, which I thought this was great they are standing behind their furniture. Not at any time did Jack mention that I should call the warranty company. Well, several weeks go by and guess what, the recliner would not recline. So, I called again and we had an appt scheduled for today, once again, he didn't tell me to call the warrant company. If I could give zero stars I would. Everything was fine until the couch was delivered and the delivery men failed to properly wrap the couch in order not to damage the walls. As an apartment tenet, we are liable for wall damage. Well, they left a gouge and several black streaks on the wall from where the unprotected legs made contact. Initially they were understanding and sent someone out to get a paint sample. Now the owner is claiming that we are trying to shake him down, called my partner a bitch and a clown, and overall acted incredibly childish. I was honestly shocked as I've never witnessed such a level of immaturity in a business owner before. He literally told my partner to tell all his friends not to come here and that he would put up a picture as to not sell to him in the future. One of the chairs had a slight defect that made it lean a little to the side. Just enough to drive me crazy. I was not looking forward to dealing with getting this corrected but I was shocked how easy Jack made it. Didn't even look at the chair, just replaced it no questions asked. I am very unhappy with the service and customer care that I received from Jack , the Owner , at the Cincinnati store on Beechmont Avenue. I had ordered adjustable beds only to find them cheaper some place else. I wanted to cancel my order and Jack had a fit and would not let me cancel. Once I received them , one of the remotes didn't work. My husband went back and forth with him for months until Jack finally ordered one. A couple years later in March of 2021 , I ordered a lift chair. He said he would have his guys pick it up from another store and would have it in a few days. Days turned into a month , with me communicating with him the entire time. He would tell me , " next week. " The fourth week he lied and said it was never delivered, knowing full well he said from day one that his guys were picking it up. Then he said , " I didn't order it because if you didn't want it I didn't want it sitting around. " Jack knew full well that I wanted it and was expecting it.
