This time was a 2 yr recliner in the home of a very clean 80 yr woman. The fabric broke down in numerous places and they refused to honor the warranty, stating it is wear and tear and not damage. We were always told "anything that happens to it in the warranty period will be repaired or replaced." Not so. Very misleading. We are looking for a new furniture store to use for all our furniture needs.

I only wanted a loveseat , maybe a recliner and an area rug. instead i was told i had to get a…read morecouch as well as the loveseat i couldn't just buy one. i was told it was a new model being delivered. when it came the men were rude, threw the pillows on the ground, scraped the couch across my porch rail nearly breaking the rail and ripping the couch. The furniture had glue stains. Today i called before they opened to tell them im returning their furniture. i have a different loveseat coming and the other stuff needed to go. My living room is 12x12 barely able to fit a couch. So if they couldn't get here their stuff would have to be put outside. The delivery man said he was the only one there and it would have to wait. the store manger called next and got real nasty. I am a widowed 60+ woman who will not be talked to that way. He was yelling at me saying it was too short notice for them to be picked up. He said get whoever got you a new loveseat to continue the payments on their furniture. He accused me of throwing the stuff out like i was intentionally trying to be hateful. I told him my house is too small my porch is too small the furniture has to be put on the side of the house. Now he wants me to buy something to cover it . We have stray cats, lots of wild dogs, dirt and sand and it rained last night.

I had one more stop to make but I saw the Rent a Center store and thought well I check to see if they have something. The salesman I dealt with was Garrett. I told him what I was looking for and and he said he had 2 different sets. He showed me the sets. I explained that I had one more store I was going check and it was on my home (30 miles). There was one set that I liked but was not the exact color I was wanting. I asked him if I purchased it could I have a refund if the other store has what I wanted. He said "Let me check" He went into the back office and then came back to counter and said "Yes, I can do that." I purchased the item and he loaded it in my truck. I went to the other store and found the tables that I wanted. I drove back to the Rent a Center to get a refund on my credit card. Garrett was at lunch so I spoke with the Assistant Manager Jason. He told me they do not give refunds. (This item was brand new in the box. Had not been touched by anyone but Garrett in two hours). I explained to him what happened with Garrett and again he told be they do not give refunds but I could wait on Garrett to come back from lunch and discuss it with him. I waited for over 30 minutes. When Garrett arrived Jason had discussed this with him. When I approached Garrett and told him I needed my refund he said they did not give refunds. He lied! Of course I became angry because I spoke my mind. I told him and Jason to look at their cameras and they could see that Garrett lied. He told me I could call the 1-800 number and file a complaint. I left the store very angry. I was on hold for 47 minutes. I spoke with a young lady and explained everything that happened. She said she would send the complaint to the district manager and he would call me within 48 hours. That was 4 days ago. I have heard nothing. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They have absolutely no integrity. They lie just to get a sale. The worst service I have ever experienced with a company. I've contacted the customer service twice with a promise that they would get back with me about this. As of 8/16/21 they have not contacted me.
