I'm not shocked at all that this place has terrible reviews. Something that I cannot stand is when an employee follows you around. I came in looking for recliners. When we walked in a skinny Asian guy asked what we were looking for and I told him we were just looking. He was following us everywhere we went. I sat in a couple recliners and he said oh there's more recliners over there. I told him, "we are fine we are looking around. I don't need to be followed." He continued to follow us every single aisle we go in. What the hell does he think we're gonna do... Pick up a couch and run out? I'm a freaking disabled veteran who moves slow and can't lift anything. He continued to follow us through the whole damn store which pissed me off even more. Then there was another Asian guy that works there that was watching our every single movement. This alone made me not want to shop there. I straight up told him he doesn't need to follow us. He should've respected that and walked away. It's not like I'm gonna steal something for starters, let alone you kinda can't steal a couch if you can't walk properly. After looking everywhere for a couch we decided to drive to Gilroy to look for a couch. We came here and were impressed by how huge the place is and how much inventory they had. As soon as we walked in we found a couch we loved. The reviews scared me and I was hesitant because of the negative reviews and the fact they dont offer a warranty. But after 2 weeks of shopping and still shopping the size chaise was everything we were looking for. My husband had gone back to make sure we still loved it and to take a picture for me. I have been to this place three times over the past 5 years. The service has declined steadily, full speed ahead. That is probably the reason I have not purchased one single item. I was in there last Saturday and there were two other cars in the parking lot. I felt it was relatively safe to go in.... And it was. When I walked in I got a waft of the scent of soup. I was not greeted by any sales people, as you usually are... they are usually tripping over each other because they're on commission. Not a single sales person or manager. Don't get me wrong, that can be refreshing at times, so you have an actual chance to look around. However, it's quite frustrating when you have questions to ask. I was in the store for about 20 minutes as I was finishing the last leg of the main aisle that approaches the office hut. To the right of the office that was one gentleman sitting and another one standing eating their lunch. They did not even make eye contact me or asked me if I needed any help at all whatsoever. Quite disappointing, I have never received such awful CUSTOMER SERVICE in my life in a furniture store. It just reaffirms why I've never bought anything in the past the previous management and sales people at least acknowledged you. read more

Shady. We found a dining set we wanted on the floor. Unfortunately it had a bench instead of chairs. So we asked if we could order the dining set with eight chairs and no bench. Steve said "oh yes absolutely. It will be here in a week, no problem". We paid cash and waited for our table. The day it was supposed to be delivered they call us and say "oh darn. They sent the table but totally different chairs and the chairs you want won't be here for at least TWO MONTHS". We asked if we could just buy the floor sample we looked at and wait for the extra chairs we ordered and he said "No I already sold it to someone else". Awesome. So we had to go in and demand our money back. Even though we paid in cash they paid us back with a check and took our receipt. I made my husband go and demand a copy of the receipt in case the check bounced. So far the check hasn't bounced but I will update if it does. Another thing that annoyed me is I was interested in couches as well and as I looked, Steve kept trying to sell me on couches that he claimed were "100% leather" and when I looked at the tag they were "100% leather MATCH". This is NOT leather. It's like a vinyl made to match leather(on couches where the seating surface is leather, they will put vinyl on the back to cut costs- but these WHOLE couches were match). I'm not paying thousands of dollars for some vinyl couches. Real leather will say "GENUINE Leather". Be careful. read more

I bought a two-piece leather sofa and loveseat with electric recliners. They provided a roughly 15% discount off the price on the tag, which is something I consider standard for the industry. On the scheduled delivery day the loveseat had some cosmetic damage to the leather. The manager told us to hold onto it and use it for a week until they could swap it out, which was nice as it meant I didn't have to go without. One week later, on the day they had scheduled, they arrived as expected and swapped the loveseat out with no issues whatsoever. I will also say, that it was quite apparent to me and my wife that they really wanted to make the sale, which was different from the experience we had at the location we had just left prior. They gave us a lot of attention and time. The only reason I gave them 4 stars vs. 5 was due to the fact that they did have to make a second delivery. Not sure what happened during their quality check at the store before putting it on the truck the first time around. This place has a wide selection of great pieces to complete your interior. I bought a bed here like 20 years ago and it still is my go to sleep spot in my parents house. I really like their lamps, and tables so I will be going back to see them for that very soon. It's a professional group where you can expect them to make your shopping experience painless, and worry free. My friend bought a bunk bed for his kids here and they're very happy with their purchase, it seems. Also, doesn't hurt that their showroom is humongous and the staff are very knowledgable about their product. Had horrible experience! I live 1 hr away from these guys, so called them 2 times before by telling exact product number asking for it's availability. They "confirmed" that it's in store to display and I can come and visit. While going there after 1 hr drive, they told me that the item I had asked for is in different color and the one I had asked over the phone was not at all in the store and isn't available anymore to order as well!. They simply lied to me so that I can show up there and they can try selling me other stuff. It was easy for them to say "Sorry - I didn't understand your requirement clearly". As saying sorry doesn't cost them anything and they had nothing to loose by lying to me and calling me there to their store after driving for 1 hr. No doubt they have very *HIGH* prices but in my case the manager was very nice and quick to match the price of the competitors so I got lucky. But I wouldn't have been that lucky had I not found the prices elsewhere. So do your homework. .. And don't trust the sales person when he says "We are giving you the best price!" Delivery is free and quick. But I would rather pay some money for the delivery and get a good price than to pay much higher than other places and get a free delivery! I bought two new beds here. Upon delivery, some parts were missing and I had to wait 2 weeks for the correct parts to be ordered. Furniture revolution failed to call to tell me the parts arrived. When I called to inquire about the missing parts, the service representative sounded inconvenienced that my parts were missing, but scheduled the assembly men to put the beds together. About three months later, I bought my own home and moved. I hired movers who told me they were not able to take the bed apart because nails were used to connect the bed frame, instead of screws. The missing parts never arrived! Instead of doing the work correctly, they chose to half ass it. I called Furniture Revolution, asked them to rectify this issue and the response on the other line was, "Well, what do you want us to do?" I responded that I needed my furniture moved and because of the poor work done by their crew, I cannot move my furniture. I was told I would have to wait until Monday (3 days later) for someone to call and set up an appointment to come look at it, but there were no guarantees the problem could be fixed since I had been using the furniture for 3 months. Come to find out, they were red tagged from the City of Gilroy due to code infractions. When I spoke to a sales rep on the phone, he tried to put the blame on the City as if they did nothing wrong. FR was red tagged for a reason; meaning years of neglect to their store. Nobody is to blame but the owner himself. Because they refused to comply with city codes, the customers are now affected and ZERO compensation was offered to the customers waiting for furniture. Do yourself a favor and void this dump. This is going to be along review, because I want It to be clear that I am a real person who has had a real (bad) experience with this business. When we confronted our sales guy about the reviews on this and other sites, he assured us that it was just his competitors trying to ruin their reputation. I am a "benefit of the doubt" kind of person, and really wanted to be able to come on here and give 5 stars and say it was great. After shopping and comparing options at several stores, we went into Furniture Revolution on March 8, 2014. We spent some time looking around before being approached by Teddy the salesperson (it was nice not to get hounded right as we walked in the door). By the time Teddy approached us we had decided to purchase a Serta Mattress. He gave us a price that was very attractive. Once the mattress had been figured out, we decided to see if they had any bed-frames that we liked. after looking through the store a couple times, we decided on a very nice, solid wood bed. Again he gave us a very attractive price, since we were bundling it with the mattress. Since the bed we decided on was a bit more that we had anticipated paying (absolutely not Teddy's or the store's fault) we wanted to "sleep on it" and make sure we were making a responsible purchase for our situation. Teddy told us if we paid a small down, he would lock in the pricing for us, and if we were ready to move forward he would need 50% paid before he ordered the items. he tried to talk us into paying the deposit in cash, but being aware of other's experiences, wanted to make the deposit on Credit card, and pay the whole sum in cash and have the deposit refunded to safeguard ourselves against what happened next: on March 24, we went back to the store (we do not live in Gilroy, so it took us a while to have time to make the drive back up there). We made the 50% deposit, and were told that we should receive everything in 2 to 4 weeks. On April 3, we got a call from Teddy letting us know that the bed we ordered is on back order with no ETA from the Manufacturer. He told us to let him know and if we needed to do a refund we could. I told him I would call him back when we decide what we are going to do. this morning (4/8) I called him back and said we still want the mattress, and that we had found another solution for the bed frame. His response was that the mattress would now cost $200 more than what he originally quoted (mind you he quoted it before the bed frame was even a possibility). We tried to fight him on the fact that he quoted the mattress before he ever knew we would get a bed frame, and he kept coming up with excuses. every time we shot one down he came up with another one. First was that he could not sell the mattress at that price because he could not warranty it. He was only going to give us a 3-day return policy to begin with, so the warranty was never on him to provide. then he tried to convince us that the model of mattress we ordered was being discontinued (not sure why that would cause the price to go up, you would think he would want to get rid of the old models), Then he said we were breaking up the bundle (again price was quoted before there ever was a bundle). Finally he just said he can't sell us the mattress at that price. After getting nowhere with him, we told him to refund the deposit because it was not acceptable for him to change the price on us. He told us that he could not refund the card unless we drove all the way back up there, because we had his copy of the receipts which he needed because he needed to report the sales tax. That makes two outright lies: 1) The receipts we have are the "customer Copies" he has the originals of the order form and the credit card receipts, and 2) he has not charged any tax yet, it was only a deposit, and since he's not keeping any money, there would be no sales tax to report. Since we also couldn't get anywhere with him on getting a refund either, we called the credit card company and have disputed the charges on grounds that he is changing the quoted price after the fact without just cause. So glad we didn't give them cash! As an additional note: another reviewer mentions their business license status, and so I researched it for myself. With the City of Gilroy, there is no business license for "Furniture Revolution" on their list which is posted online. There is however another furniture store that is listed at that address. With the State of California BEARHFTI which regulates furniture stores among other industries, Furniture Revolution's State license to sell furniture has been expired since 2010. This is also public record and can be researched at the state's website. As I said, I wanted things to turn out differently, but they have proven that they are not interested in doing legitimate business, and are only interested in taking advantage of consumers who don't safeguard themselves from these unscrupulous practices, read more

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS STORE!!!! The salespeople lie and they do not honor their word! I wish there was a way to give negative two stars. I ordered bunk beds and was told by the salesperson that it would include a trundle bed. When it was delivered, there was no trundle. I called to speak with a manager, but the "manager" is somehow never available. Finally, I showed up I'm person and was able to find the elusive manager. He promised me that he would resolve the issue by delivering a trundle bed with mattress, but that it had to be ordered and would take a couple if weeks. Well, two weeks passed, two more weeks passed, and no word from the manager. After several attempts at contacting someone I finally got a call back, and was told that it would be arriving in one month! ( mind you, I'd already been waiting for several weeks at that point and I had guests arriving from the East coast-- hence the need for a trundle bed). One additional month passed and still no word. I called again and someone rudely responded "you'll get it when you get it." And then hung up on me! Finally, two weeks later I called back and they told me it was there, but that I would not be receiving a mattress AND they would not deliver it (even if I paid a delivery fee), despite what I was told and despite what was on my written receipt from the manager! I recommend anyone to stay FAR AWAY from this company, it's a ripoff operation, the salespeople are liars and the company has NO INTEGRITY whatsoever! Went in after A Friend mentioned it to me. After looking all over for a kitchen table and chairs for a good price! Went to Rosso's across the way and they quoted me $1,200 for a table and 4 chairs. Go over to Furniture Revolution , same table with 6 chairs, a bench and delivery, $930!!!! sold!!!!...It came in perfect condition!. I went back today to order 4 bar stools to match. They gave me a price, I didnt like it too much. SO he asked what I wanted it for and he took my price! Fast and easy! read more

We bought a couch from FR over 5 years ago and it is holding up really well considering we have a dog (not allowed on couch, but lays on the ground part) and a toddler. Fast forward we moved into a 5,000 sq ft house in San Martin and I was looking everywhere for a custom couch with the colors I wanted and couldn't find it online. I remembered FR does custom pieces so I went in and Oscar helped me. He was so great and patient, helping me pick out the colors and measurements. They gave me a great price and the couch was delivered within a few weeks. 4 months later we decided we wanted the matching chairs to the couch, so Oscar was quickly able to get my order in and the chairs were delivered in great shape a few weeks later. I have read some of FR reviews on yelp and have to put my 2 cents in. My husband and I can pretty much afford to shop wherever we want to, but I pick FR because the quality is good and we don't feel guilty when our toddler spills something on the couch because we didn't spend 5k+ at Restoration hardware on a beige couch. I honestly don't know where these other reviews are coming from. I shop online furniture and furniture stores non-stop for our new house (Crate and Barrel, RH, CB2, Pottery Barn, Wayfair, Overstock, Gilt, onekingslane, Ballard, etc.) and FR prices are way below others! I think these other reviews are comparing FR prices to like Home Goods, Target, Marshalls, etc. and I don't think these shoppers are well versed in the market of furniture and what things really cost. I think it is worth a try to shop with FR. I mean you aren't getting customer service like you would at a Louis Vitton store, BUT you are NOT at a Louis Vitton store paying 3k for a handbag where they give you champagne. This is a little below average priced furniture store. They have always been upfront about the price with me and there was never any surprises. I mean of course you have to pay taxes on the item. Clothing stores don't put the tax on the price tag? They give you an Invoice with the final amount and that is what you pay. If you don't like that price ask for a lower one. They are willing to make a deal with you. I guarantee Target or Pottery Barn is not going to "make a deal" with you. No wonder they have a "emergency liquidation sale" signs everywhere. What terrible customer service and what a keen way they have of driving business away. As an interior designer, I came to this place solely because I had a client tell me that she might like a few pieces here to purchase here for her home. I make the Drive down from Los Gatos to check it out. Maybe it's a great find, I'm hoping! I look around, mostly awful looking poor quality furniture. But I see a bed that is okay. I take a picture of that bed because I think my client might like it. I immediately text her the pic with a message saying that I like this piece. A man who works there Over and says "hey No Pictures! no Pictures please!!" I said, "I'm trying to send a picture of your bed that I like for my client. I'm trying to give you business." His respond is "That's our policy, no pictures." I said "but I'm trying to give you business. I don't understand this policy." He says "that's our policy, and we have signs posted everywhere saying no pictures!" I think their policy is that they want to go out of business in a hurry by the look of it and the service. 99.5 % of the things there are low-quality and awful looking. But from experience, I know that there's always a diamond in the rough. They have a tiny chance to make a sale and they completely blow it by being rude. What do they think? that I'm going to try and copy their awful furniture? Terrible furniture, terrible service. We were looking for bedroom furniture and went to a few stores in the Gilroy/Morgan Hill area and liked what we saw at FR but decided to keep on looking. At the end of the day we decided on Furniture Revolution but were too tired to go back and seal the deal. I called the next morning and was able to purchase the bedroom set over the phone. That was on a Sunday. Later I read some bad reviews about FR and started to get concerned. Oscar our salesman reassured me that all would go smooth. It did. Our lovely furniture was delivered 4 days later. The delivery men were very helpful and set everything up. One of them even offered to install my tv mount but I hadn't decided where I wanted it. I would give 5 stars but delivery came 3 hours early. We got a call from our son and hurried home. All in all, a great experience. read more

I'd give it no star, unfortunately Yelp doesn't give you that option. They have a 5 star service when they sell you things. They will tell you things like, "If you get any stain on the furniture, they will help you. Or if you have any problems at all, can always give them a call. They will also tell you things like the furnitures have 5yr warranty on certain things. This is all lies. The Manager "Dave" is not at all a fair person , all the prices are risen up and they say that they give huge discounts, pls dont fall into it. I have selected a few items and I have taken the Interest free loan , but after 2 days , even before the items are moved to the store from the Inventory, I asked for a cancellation and the Manager denied it abruptly , and he said that I will be charged the Restocking fee even though the items are not delivered. So here you dont have an option to change your mind just immediately also , very poor customer service, The Manager Dave talks very rudely and doesn't know how to handle the customer . I have been on the look out for a leather sectional couch for a few months and had been pricing them for a while. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I tend to get tired of my furniture and replace it every few years. I stopped in Furniture Revolution in Gilroy when I was in town visiting family. I saw the couch that I had been looking for which was decently priced at $1,100. Not bad for a 5 piece leather section, which included an ottoman. The sales guy was very respectful and not pushy, even when I told him I would come back in a week. He offered the couch to me for 100 off sticker price plus no tax. Obviously there is room to negotiate here since he offered that before I even asked about a deal. I had written down the brand name and dimensions thinking that I would be able to find it at one of the many cheap furniture stores in San Jose, closer to my home. I called every furniture store in San Jose and nobody carried it. So I went down Friday night and bought it. When I had been in the week prior I had thoguht they said that it was in stock. When I went back to buy it I realized that was a misunderstanding (there is a slight language barrier, all the sales people have heavy Vietnamese accents). Then they offered to give to the floor model and have it delivered the next day between 11-2. It was delivered the next day at 11:30. No problems. I would make the trip to Gilroy again next time I am shopping for furniture. read more

For the not so great credit score people, us included, if you plan to finance your furniture through the company they go through, watch out. They had no answers to our financing questions and basically lied about everything we asked, "sealing the deal" I'm sure. We told them we were trying to rebuild our credit and if this company reports to bureaus to do so. They said yes. Well, the finance company doesnt. At least in CA. Weird right? We asked if they are going to direct debit the payment, the sales guy, Oscar, checked with management and they said no. I asked twice to make sure, I was still told no they won't. WELL...the financial company is direct debiting the payment and I hate that. I asked this because I had to provide a voided check. I asked why, they said to verify the bank info. I told them the bank info is already on the application, a voided check usually means a direct debit. They tried to assure me it wasn't the case. Well, it was. Before we signed the "deal" we were told there was an extra $40 fee for financing the couches we got. This of course after we we're told we had to come up with taxes and delivery up front. We decided to walk out w/out signing anything and told them we wanted the fee waived as we weren't told about it. So we left. An hour later the sales guy, Oscar, called me saying they would waive the fee and to please come in at that moment because they closed at 8. I told him I was at the grocery store and that I would come tomorrow because my family needed to eat still. He said the fee waived was only if it was closed that night. So I went. Then when I got there I was told that they needed two check stubs from my husband. I told them it would have been nice to know this before I came down for the 2nd time. They apologized but said they couldn't close the deal until I provided those and to bring them in by 11 that next day. So I did (3rd trip mind you and the sales guy didn't pay me any mind he was busy making a sale). I finally closed the deal with limited information about the interest rate, how the payments work etc. I also disputed the delivery. I live less then 2 miles from the location and they wanted to charge me $49. Since I got the $40 fee waived I decided to bite the bullet since we desperately needed couches. The sales guy also said if we can't make the pay off the balance in 90 days we can ask for up to 6 months to pay. Well, that was partially true. We found out AFTER that we get up to 12 months to pay...this of course meaning it would double in payments because the interest rate sky rockets (yes I know, it's cause of bad credit but still). So we are doing everything in our power to get it paid in 3 months. The only pro about this place is that we finalized on a Sunday and got our couches that Wednesday BEFORE Thanksgiving. I purchased bedroom furniture last September. The pricing is very odd, and whatever price they show is not what you end up paying. After some confusing haggling we paid what I thought was fair for the furniture, expensive, but good quality. Delivery was fast, but one night stand was damaged. I told the delivery guys, and phoned our salesperson and they said it would be replaced. Luckily I kept the defective piece as the replacement was delivered in July, 10 months later!!!!i can't count how many phone calls and emails I sent to be told, delivery will be soon, it's on it's way.... The replacement piece was also damaged! I returned the piece, but I wasn't going to wait another 10 months for a replacement. They repaired the piece pretty well, but I was so fed up with waiting for a new one, I accepted it. I would never buy from this company again. Beware! read more

My mom purchased a dining table set here that was way over priced. Also a huge mirror that is gorgeous but was very expensive. They advertise sales after they add taxes. Ugh. This is not how things should be I really recommend my mother taking me now because she thought she was paying for 4 chairs but they only gave her 2. Mind you this item was not on clearance or sale. My mom payed alot of money and then had to dish out more $ just to get a complete set of chairs. Rediculous, absolutely rediculous. Sorry but I'm not impressed when there is nobody around to help us in the store or with the sales people getting over on an old lady. read more
