Our coffee table was on its last legs at our vacation condo up in Utah, so we decided to check out several furniture stores. After searching several with no luck (and prices that were upwards of $1,200 for a coffee table!), we decided to pop into Furniture Row.    I was so impressed with the quality and prices of the furniture here! We found a really nice coffee table made of real wood (and super heavy construction) for $250! Granted, we took the floor model to save money, but it was a great deal for a beautiful piece of furniture.    Furniture Row isn't fancy, and it sells discount furniture that looks nice, is good quality, but won't break the bank. The store is organized like a typical furniture showroom, with different "rooms" displaying all the sofas, chairs, beds, and the like.    The furniture items were all clearly labeled and the price tags were easy to read. It was simple to see the price on everything in the store, which I appreciated.    I didn't like that we were completely ignored while browsing here. While I don't like to be bothered, it was next to impossible to find a salesperson to help us when we were ready to make our purchase. We had to go up to the main desk and wait. And wait. Aaaaand wait. Finally we found a guy to help us, but he wasn't all that helpful. I mean, all we wanted to do was swipe our credit card and load the table into the back of our car!    After we finally made our purchase, it was easy and fast. We got our table and were on our way.    Despite the service hiccups, I highly recommend Furniture Row. I've been nothing but happy with my table, and the price was more than right! read more

I would give a negative rating if that were an option. I purchased this desk from Furniture Row, and within just a few months of very light use, the finish began chipping badly. I contacted the store, and after several calls and months of follow-up, they finally sent out a consultant to inspect it. The consultant confirmed what I suspected--that the desk is made from low-quality soft wood and that the finish was poorly applied. While he said he could repair the dents and chips, he also made it clear this would continue to be an issue for the life of the desk. After waiting weeks for an update, I reached out again expecting a replacement under warranty for what is clearly a defective product. Instead, I was told they would only repair the defects and would not replace the desk. I called to explain that this was not ethical, but they simply repeated that they would come out and fix the defect--while refusing to replace the desk, even though it is clearly defective. The desk is used maybe two days a month with a soft, armless chair--there's no reasonable way this level of damage is normal. After spending over $25,000 at Furniture Row over the past 10 years, I'm extremely disappointed. This experience feels dismissive and unethical, and it has cost them my business permanently. read more

I purchased a couch and table in January and was told by the sales representative that the tables would arrive in 2-3 weeks and the couch in 3-4 weeks. These timeframes are clearly stated on my receipt. It has now been over four weeks, and I had not received any communication regarding my order. When I called the store, I was told the delivery timeframe was actually 6-8 weeks despite what was listed on my receipt. When I expressed that this was unacceptable, I was told they would check with the sales representative and call me back. I never received that call. I followed up again and was told I needed to speak with a manager, who would also call me back. Once again, no one reached out. After contacting them yet again, I was told the sales representative "shouldn't have told me" the 3-4 week timeframe--even though it is clearly printed on my receipt and that the delivery window was always 6-8 weeks. The lack of communication and accountability has been extremely disappointing. I am now in week five with no updates and no clear resolution. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this store. It feels like they will say whatever is necessary to make a sale but will not stand behind their word afterward. read more

Did I visit these stores on an off day, or do stores in Utah not really know about customer service? After spending fifteen minutes in Denver Mattress, I went over to Sofa Mart, and was browsing through the entire showroom. I took pictures of several different types of room groups and pricing, and sat down on multiple sofas. While it was great to have some time browsing without a customer service person trying to influence my decisions, it was surprising that no one came over to even greet me in the fifteen minutes I was in the store. I have just purchased a home and was looking for several new sofas, loveseats, and coffee tables for two different living room areas. While some of their prices were reasonable and similar to other stores in the area, I would have appreciated someone at least greeting me and asking if I had any questions! read more

We were notified to expect our bedroom set between 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm, and between numerous calls and texts we finally received our bedroom set at 7:50pm. Each time we called we were greeted with an "I'm sorry" and "you are the next in line" or a constant text delay for stating 30 minutes out for 7.5 hours. Unprofessional and horrible service. Last week went to RC Willey, IKEA, Ashley home store and finally Furniture Row which has Oak express, and Sofa Mart. We were greeted right when entering and Scott G. (Sorry don't know how last name) smiled and showed us around. We found the perfect coffee table after looking for hours on end at many other stores. Scott rang us up and said this would be delivered on Tuesday. Tuesday came around and no call from anyone. So I called and asked what had happened? And Scott said he made a mistake and the delivery trucks were all booked out for the week. He said he would put it in his vehicle and drive it over himself. Wednesday night comes around and he calls and said he is on his way to my place, right on schedule. He deserved 5 stars alone for having integrity and keeping his word. Mishaps happen all of the time and he owned up to it and made it right and went the extra mile. For sure will be back when we need other items for our place. read more

I told them I would not order if I could not have by beginning of June. I was told it was not going to be an issue., My daughter called and was told it was being delivered June 7 without the arms. I called back and they said that was not correct It would not be delivered until at least Mid July. I purchased a sofa and chair that were on clearance due to the chair having three bent legs which are easily replaceable. However they did not tell me the couch was missing two pegs for the center and due to this the couch is now bowing and they do not offer replacements. Giving them one star due to terrible customer service and not telling me about the missing pieces when I purchased the couch. They are an odd size so I have to replace all the legs now because I can't find ones that are the same height. read more

Customer service here is very poor. We ordered 3 lamps that took a couple of weeks to receive. They did come in on the time expected. We went to pick them up and asked for some help due to I just had knee replacement surgery. We just asked the gentleman that was loading the lamps if he could help unpack the lamps from the boxes and put them in our car. He refused. I asked if I could speak to the manager for assistance, he actually told me I had to get out of the car on my crutches and come inside if I wanted to speak to someone. The manager did come out and was friendly and wanted to help. She assisted my wife with the boxes and apologized for the persons behavior. I will think twice before I ever buy anything from this organization again and I caution anyone reading this. If this is the assistance a customer can get under these circumstances, I can only imagine if there was a real issue that had to be addressed. read more

Similar to Karen, we had a mission a few years back to find the perfect sofa. That mission took some months and included going to just about every furniture store in the Salt Lake Valley, seriously, nearly everyone one. Along the way we went to IKEA and in doing so happened to see Sofa Mart and Furniture Row. Sofa Mart features nothing but sofa and couches as the name implies. The salespeople are friendly and personable and since they don't work on commission they aren't agressive or overbearing like the people at RC Willey or Ashley Furniture. We ended up finding a three cushion sofa and ottoman that we really liked along with a TV stand for our new television. The price was reasonable and in fact, they were having a sale, so that was even better. We also took advantage of a no interest for 12 months plan they offered. Like many furniture stores, Sofa Mart doesn't keep much of an inventory on hand, so most everything you purchase will have to be delivered from their warehouse. This usually takes a couple of weeks. So now the bad news... When our new sofa was delivered a few weeks later it didn't fit down our basement stairs. The TV stand was delivered successfully and setup, but we still didn't have a sofa. Heading back to Sofa Mart we ended up buying the love seat version of the sofa, which was one third the size and almost the same price. I was not very happy about this but there was unfortunately nothing we could do. A few weeks later the love seat was delivered and setup. It looked great and we were happy to finally have our basement living room setup. The sofa was comfortable and seemed well built... but those illusions would soon fade... We've now owned the sofa and ottoman for about three years now and they have not worn well. They've worn really poorly in fact. The sofa sags in the middle and the fabric is peeling and coming apart. The fabric has become discolored in a lot of places, darker then it used to be, almost as if something was spilled on it but we've never spilled anything on it. No pets have been on it and we don't have kids, so most of the time it's just been the two of us using it. Other problems... one of the feet on the ottoman fell off pretty early on and I had to reattached it. There was also a problem with the TV stand we bought which I saw early on and should have done something about. The front of the TV stand has two glass paned cupboards and the cupboards have never been even. One of the cupboards is quite a bit off and not at all level with the other one. This doesn't bother me much, but I really should have asked them to send another one. The thought of calling them and waiting another two weeks for a new stand to arrive or taking this one back and ordering a new one just didn't seem like something I wanted to do though. So I decided to live with it... The furniture we purchased at Sofa Mart should not have been poor quality. We paid a good amount of money for our sofa, ottoman and TV stand and I expected the quality to be a lot better. It has been disappointing because we shopped for sofas for so long, fell in long with a sofa, and then it didn't work out... it's like some sort of bad relationship... read more

The bunk bed was assembled properly after the third visit. The manager was very helpful, but the delivery and installation people need way too much hand-holding. It really feels like the customer is expected to ensure the quality of assembly rather than the other way around. Sadly, most of the problem was simple laziness and ineptitude. The bed itself is mostly fine now. There's a lot more imperfection in how the pieces are joined than I care for, but it seems structurally sound and looks good at a distance. There was a split in the wood where one of the bolts came in, but it doesn't effect performance. I did let the manager know about the split, and in the context of our overall experience he offered a generous discount on the total price which was appreciated. I wouldn't use Oak Express for another big purchase, or one that requires delivery and installation. I do like their selection, the sales and service staff were helpful, and the showroom is nice. The manager Cory was also great to work with, but he's a travelling troubleshooter that deals with problem stores so is only going to be around for a limited time. Hopefully they'll get a permanent manager on board that can whip things into shape. read more

Stay away from this place. We found a gorgeous dining table set and paid extra for bench seating. Purchased everything in May and was told that the bench wouldn't be available until July. The delivery (that I paid extra for) for table and chairs was set for June. Our ETA date came and went... I had to call the store to see about scheduling and was told "oh... yeah... everything is here waiting for you." After getting that debacle settled the delivery went fine. Then comes July and I've yet to hear about my bench. Same thing, I had to call them in which I was told it's been delayed till October. I understand supply and employee shortage's, but I shouldn't have to be the one constantly calling about already scheduled events. Especially with such a drastic ETA update. I called on October 15th and was told it be ready by the end of October and someone would be reaching out to schedule delivery. November 1st rolls and still nothing. Today we called and were told the bench is in Denver and will be here by the end of the week due to short staffing. She tried to act like this is new information she was provided. We told her that was the same story we got 3 weeks ago. Now we're "promised" to have it delivered by next Friday, but I have low hopes. Generally, easy to purchase and hard to get. Customer service is poor and their system is poorly designed for deliveries compared to other appliance and furniture stores. I won't be using them again and will caution all my friends about the delivery and customer service issues. 1. Purchase 10/19/19. Salesperson was less than helpful in explaining options or accessories. 2. Delivery Process a. Schedule your whole day off and unencumbered. b. The night before you get a robo-call with a time period for delivery. c. No one can control, change, modify or otherwise work with you to schedule a different time. d. And, if you can't work the time out, you get to play the lottery by scheduling another whole day off and seeing where the robocall places you. 3. Delivery day 10/29/19 a. Morning power outage at the store. Understandable that this was difficult but people have cell phones and have other ways to communication with scheduled customers. i. No communication to customers. ii. Customer service talked to me once on the phone and never called back. iii. Online email was answered days later. iv. Poor follow up, no tracking online, and poor assistance by customer services. b. Delivery 4 pieces. One was damaged and one was completely wrong. c. Signature of receipt but no copy to me. Had to take a picture. d. They left the pieces and explained that I would be responsible for any damage to the pieces. e. They did order replacements. 4. Second Delivery 11/12/19 a. Robocall set the appoint after the requested time limit. I asked to have it delivered any time before 5:30pm. They called and told me it would be 5:30pm to 7:30pm. b. Options were only to reschedule the lottery for another day OR cancelled my plans for the evening. c. Explanation was that the delivery truck was busy "at the airport." d. They did deliver and my brother was waiting for them. He captured video of the delivery people attempting to put together the furniture. e. AND, the brought the wrong pieces. So, they had to come once more, 3 hours later, to deliver the correct pieces. f. In their hurry, they caused a 2" whole in my door frame. g. Now weeks later I am still working with them to get the door frame fixed. Again, worst service, poor delivery system and I would avoid them at all costs. read more

We thought, "Wonderful. Hopefully that won't happen, but you never know, so why not?" Yeah... absolutely not the case at all! We really do love the table, but we will never, ever use Oak Expressions again because of their bad business practices and LYING to sell you a warranty that barely covers anything, apparently. Aside from one rude employee, we had a good experience here. That one woman really left a horrible impression though, so I don't imagine we'll be back. The woman we spoke with was extremely rude in person at the store when we asked about an ottoman in a different color and again by phone when we called in to request our couch be delivered since we couldn't find a local company that would rent us a truck for a short period of time. My husband called in to request our couch be delivered and acknowledged that there was a fee to have it delivered. She snapped at him and asked why they should have to to deliver because we couldn't find a truck. WOW...he said we were ok with paying for delivery and when we bought the couch, we were told it was ok to add on delivery at a later date. I'm not sure what the issue is here or why she is allowed to be so rude, but we certainly won't be back to buy the rest of our furniture. Another stop on my mission to find the perfect sofa. I went into the store just to even out my 'looking experience'. I didn't expect to find what I was looking for since it's clearly a very conventional sofa place and I feel like I'm looking for something a little funky. However, I did enjoy the showroom and I really appreciated the sales approach. There was no following me around like a lost puppy, thank goodness. Just a 'hey, can I help you", "here's how the show room is laid out", "let me know if you have any questions". Boom, done. Free to look around on my own. It's conveniently located right across the street from Ikea and is connected to other stores to make a combined experience they call "Furniture Row". Bought a 6 peice sectional sofa with bonded leather. About a year and a half ago. Pros. I rember the sales staff was helpfull and great but delivery was ok. Couch still looks great emphasis on looks and we'll that is it on the pros. Cons. The couch does not stay together so this effects how the recliners operate. With that on my end recliners I feel the springs in my butt and when I operate the recliners it feels as If the are going to fall apart. I don't have a group of 10 year-olds in my house either jumping on them so this is just from normal siting and watching tv. It feels as if the structure of the couch is falling apart. Overall build quality of the structure of the couch is terrible. Conclusion. So I would not purchase from them as the quality is not there especially for spending about 1800. So if you want to throw your money away buy a couch from Sofa Mart as in a year and a half you will wish you didn't, as I do. Side note: Have bought the extended warranty and will try to see if they will honor it or not. As doing some more research this doesn't look to positive. There are many complaints with the better business Bureau. UPDATE!!! I was able to contact sofa mart and they helped me get my sections replace with my warranty that I bought in addition to the couch. The manager of the store was the one who helped me and the sections arrived when they said they would and the whole experience was great. Final update. It is May 4th 2015 and as of now the TV stand that we bought the day before Thanksgiving which was November 2014 approximately 5 months ago has been picked up and taken back to the store. We recieved the tv stand damaged, Crack in the leg, several large scratches all over etc... I called the day we received it with the delievery guys still at my house. I worked with upper management to get a new one, needless to say we gave them 5 months to do that and they couldn't. Every tv stand they got they told me they were also damaged. I won't go into details with all the other things but I am very disappointed in this store. I will be sending a letter up to upper management with details of the situation, because they need to know. The issue wasn't just the damaged tv stand, follow through or the lack of is a huge problem. Yall figure it out yourself it could just be me as far as being the only one with this issue but I would recommend doing a little research first before buying. What an awesome concept. [Im gonna geek about their building for a second, so if you wanna know about the business, go down a paragraph] "furniture row" including (I think) 3 businesses all about furniture, in one big building that looks like there are 3 buildings from the outside, are all joined together by a beautiful modern structure, with a tarp on top that I'm sure keeps the place cooler and environmentally friendly - guessing from the materials used, that place was very smartly done, and things like that get me all excited, so i was pretty happy with their construction and vision of green thinking. Anyways, review time! They have a shit ton of furniture. Options for bed rooms, livings, dining rooms, you name it. They got some cool bed frames for kids, and lots of nice storage furniture like shelves and dressers. I really liked how their products were priced. Most of them had deals going on, and the best about it, is that they were a bit different from what you see in the normal market, especially when Ikea is taking over the world of furniture, it's nice to have a refreshing moderately priced furniture place. I would absolutely recommend everyone to at least come and see the place. It's awesome. You could easily furnish your new house with these 3 stores. read more

I have never had such a hard time with a particular website. So I'm trying to order a couch and a accent chair the couch I can't put into the cart the accent chair I can but it keeps saying that I am in Denver. I keep telling them I am in Utah which would be the Draper store. I don't know if they actually want to sell furniture or if they just want to screw around with customers. I tried to give a review about the nonsense but of course since it didn't actually pertain to the quality of the item and it just pertain to how ridiculous furniture Row was being it won't go up. So the only place to do that is YELP! It's un- believable you cannot take the items you love click on them and put them in the cart, pay for them and have them delivered. How else do you get the furniture. This really doesn't inspire wanting to work with them ever again. I have tried to reach customer service but it keeps saying Denver Colorado. So that gives me nothing to go on. I also am like are you guys kidding me how do you sell furniture to people who can't drive to your Draper location. I can but I don't want to. I already saw the furniture I want! I can't get it. That is so dumb! I recommend their furniture but I do not recommend the website and I don't recommend working with them because if anything ever happened to the furniture and you actually had some sort of warranty or protection on it you'll never get through to them! They have the same huge selection that a big store like RC Wiley would have but they don't have the same overhead due to the crazy decorations so their prices are much lower. If there was way to mark 0 stars I would have! The saddest part of this whole thing is that our in store experience was the best I'd ever had. Our sales guy was amazing (personable, helpful, not pushy) which is what makes the post-purchase experience that much worse. We walked away from that original purchase experience feeling like we had just purchased amazing furniture for an incredible deal. We purchased a bedroom set, the cloud sectional and tables. None of our furniture was available at that time and had to be ordered in. We were told on the date of purchase (9/13/14) that it would take 2 weeks or less for the shipment to come in and to expect a call when our items had arrived. 1 week goes by and we decide to call. Our bedroom set was mostly there the rest would arrive soon. Sectional and tables not there. A day or 2 later we were able to pick up the bedroom set (to save on the delivery charge). Everything is still good and we're happy with our purchase. The full 2 weeks go by and still no one calls us so my husband reaches out asking when we can pick up our stuff. The response was that everything was in and we could come get it. We hook up the trailer and drive over. When we arrive we're told that they in fact did not have ANY pieces of our furniture except for 1 piece of the sectional which ended up being the wrong color. Um, what?! It was then discovered our entire sectional was ordered in the wrong color and now it's going to be additional 2 weeks. The staff there were unwilling to do anything to try to correct the situation. So we cancelled our order. The next morning, our original salesman calls us and apologizes profusely, promises to fix the situation. Money off and free delivery. Okay fine. We reorder our stuff, in the correct color and we're told it will be 2 weeks or less. 1 week later they delivered 3 pieces of the sectional and we were told the rest is on a truck to be delivered to their store soon. We are hopefully and happy again. Another week goes by with my husband calling every couple of days to make sure everything is on track and by the end of the week we're told they have everything in but that they won't schedule delivery until everything is unloaded off of their truck and that someone would call on Monday to schedule delivery. This puts us nearing the 3 week mark of their promised 2 weeks (which is 5 weeks from original purchase) but there's a light at the end of the tunnel so we're still feeling hopeful. Tuesday rolls around still no calls so my husband calls them. We are told that they gave another customer our coffee table and end tables and that those tables are now on back order and they don't know when they'll be available but "we can have our money back". REALLY?!?! Oh and they will not deliver the rest of the sectional until the tables come in. What are we left with... 3 pieces of a sectional and a taste of THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! We've been without family room furniture for over a month now because we sold our old couch thinking our new one would be here any day now. I'm waiting for a call back from our original salesman to workout canceling this order. We will NOT be purchasing from this company again. SO DISAPPOINTED! I should also note that the salesman we worked with originally seems to be the only competent person there (and I say that despite the fact that he ordered the wrong sectional originally). All others that we've interacted with either over the phone or in person seem clueless, indifferent, or rude. How is this company still in business? read more

Sofamart in Draper Utah is a nightmare! My Cloud Sofa Chaise Lounge Recliner is broken and I have now called (7) times and spoke with (3) different people who all say the exact same thing...."Oh...sorry no one called to schedule a repair appointment". And then the entire process starts over again. Worst customer service ever! Do not buy your furinture from SofaMart to save a buck. Update from my last review from 12/12/14. Chris, the manager from Furniture Row, called me this evening to talk about my review. He was very nice, and expressed that he wanted to take care of my concern by replacing the broken bench. It meant a lot to me that Chris took the time to see what his customers were experiencing, and to do what he could to rectify. Thank you very much, Chris! You have more than resolved a problem.
