I placed an order with this company on April 13,2025 based on their advertised 6-8 week delivery timeframe. That timeline was not met, and the overall experience has been extremely disappointing. I reached out on May 7, 2025, and was assured the order was in transit. That turned out to be untrue. On June 2, after following up again, I was told the item was just being shipped to the receiving warehouse but they were "still within their 6-8 week timeframe". Then on June 6, I was informed there were issues with the delivery company and that the order was essentially lost, but no further updates were ever provided--despite promises that they would be. After contacting the delivery company directly, they confirmed they never received the item as of June 10, 2025, and that the claims about delays on their end were inaccurate. At no point was I offered the option to cancel, nor was I asked if I still wanted the item after the significant delay. There was no apology, no explanation, and no offer of a discount or resolution. Deliveright did not receive the order until after the 10 week mark. I eventually filed a chargeback and submitted full documentation to my credit card company, including all emails, chats, and call records. I also cited the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines, which state that sellers must either ship within the promised timeframe or get the buyer's consent to delay--neither of which happened. Looking at other reviews, it's clear I'm not alone. Do not purchase anything online from Alice Lane. If you have to make a return they charge a 20% restocking fee and charge you a $15.00 shipping fee! I ordered an expensive tray from this company... It was $185... It was supposed to come with a felt liner on the bottom so it would scratch my furniture---the tray did not come as described and in order to return-- they require an almost $50 restocking fee. read more

Frustrating service. Slow shipping. once received and it didn't fit my space correctly. They charged 20% recharging cost and charged me the shipping. It was a very costly return that I wasn't clear on exactly how much it would cost until it was to late. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced as a design professional. I'm in the trade program and no one answers the phone. I ordered a bed at the end of May. There was no communication and when I finally got in touch with the regular customer service -- not my trade rep -- I was told the order had a problem. This was end of June. I finally reached a trade manager and was told the vendor had a problem. I went on the vendors website and my item was available for immediate shipment. I emailed the trade manager with a screen shot. Finally they got their shipper lined up and I have the bed. It was a 10 week process! Not one time did anyone from Alice Lane apologize. Unimpressed! I'm surprised reading so many negative reviews. Look, Alice Lane is expensive. But they're doing something really original in Utah and we're lucky to have them. They're innovating their own products that are actually great, the quality is amazing and their podcast and design studio is fantastic. Maybe you have to get what they're doing to fully appreciate them- but it's really special. I'm a trade member and have had nothing but positive experiences with their team. In fact, I think they go above and beyond. The store is fresh every time I go in, they always offer me a drink and I feel inspired every time I leave. Some of the employees at this store are extremely rude. When I inquired about a possible return the person I spoke to was extremely combative when there was no reason to be. Even if they weren't going to allow the return, there was no reason they needed to be so dismissive and short when I asked about it quite nicely. They deleted their google profile along with my comment so I'll add it here. Shipping for this company is extremely disorganized and estimated shipping dates listed on the website are wrong. Returns are difficult and they charge you for a restocking fee. I was very disappointed when I attempted to cancel my original order after the shipping time was over the estimate and was told that I would be charged for restocking. When I returned the item using the shipping label that was sent to me from Alice Lane, I was told that the return was stuck at the post office because the postage was incorrect and that someone would need to come to the post office and pay an additional $75 before it could be delivered to Alice Lane. I had to email for several weeks to get a response and finally had my request approved by a team member after I rated them poorly on Google and a refund was issued. Afterwards, they emailed and asked if I would amend my Google review - which I did not. I was curious if more negative reviews had been put online and found that the Google reviews are missing entirely now. Transparency is important for consumers and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone now that they are trying to hide bad customer experiences. read more

recently spent over a week working with an associate to purchase over $20,000 of furniture to my home. Once we had the details and pricing worked out the sales associate said I need to pay in full even though the order would not be ready till October. I said I have never heard of pay in full usually it's a 3rd down now and remainder when delivery is scheduled. Their answer was we can't afford to offer that, you other option is to apply for credit with them which I said no to. I spoke to a manager which resulted in nothing. I went to another local store, got the exact same order filled in one day, $2,000 less and they only wanted a third down now on my credit card. Be careful and shop around. And let me add I asked to speak to the owner and the answer was that's not possible. I guess a $20,000 order is nothing to them. I still have more furniture to buy but the new store I found will get that business read more

Horrible experience. I ordered a desk that hey said would take 3 to 4 months to deliver. Ok fine. After waiting 4 months I pinged them, and they said ok, it's been delayed, it will be another couple of months. Ok. I pinged then again. ( Notice me calling not them) They said it would be delayed again. At that point I was frustrated and they offered to give me the floor model until the new one arrived. Ok good. And the new one arrived.. eventually. But the point is that at every point I was the one reaching out, checking in. At the end of the day no apology, no discount offered. Nothing. This is a beautiful store with some great furniture and accessories. It's pricey, but that isn't the issue. I walked in today with the goal of finding two occasional chairs, a sideboard, a floor lamp and some area rugs for a very high-end home in St George. Unfortunately, just like the two other times I walked through this store, I was ignored. There were at least five people working there, two other customers, and no one approached me in the 20 minutes I was there. I sat in chairs, I looked at lamps five feet from a man that was too busy on his computer to acknowledge me. I am writing it off as a total "Pretty Woman" moment: To all of you working there, including the two ladies on their laptops sitting on the sofa that made eye contact and didn't even smile, "Big mistake. Huge." You just missed out on the opportunity to make a lot of money and gain a loyal customer. I will happily spend my money elsewhere. read more
