Unique and super ingenious baby products and goods, organized yet plentiful variety in the shop, wonderful classes and outreach programs for parents and baby, and so much more! This shop is pretty much a one stop shop and highly recommend any new parent or seasoned parent to come and check it out! Kids are totally welcomed too! Sarah is super friendly, great to chat with, she is really knowledgeable, and so genuinely kind and gracious! I sing her praises! I met with her to do a private one on one consultation on babywearing! Babywearing, you ask?! Yes, "Babywearing" isn't as intuitive as one would think and when there are so many wraps, slings, harnesses, carriers, etc. out there on the market that when you actually read the manuals, watch the video tutorials, etc., it can still be rather confusing and not as helpful to safely use it and put your baby in it. Plus, add being a new mom running on no sleep, I needed someone to directly show me and help out! Hence me reaching out to Sarah for a one on one and I'm so glad I did! I have a Moby wrap and a LilleBaby carrier and tried my best to use and understand them but had no confidence and a fear of dropping my newborn. Sarah spent over an hour with me giving me tips, tricks, best practices, let me practice, (she even has a weighted baby doll to mimic what it would be like to use your child. Super helpful since my little one was asleep and I knew I couldn't put her or manipulate her in a wrap/carrier at the time), etc. She made it so easy and straight forward, provided me with the confidence to use both wrap/carrier seamlessly, she was so patient with me, and an overall wonderful teacher! I can go on and on about Sarah and The Pure Parenting Place but just simply without a doubt recommend her and this shop to you! 10 out of 10 stars! You will be so glad you did!

This is a great place to register and find unique and useful things for others. Many items are made, or invented here in Texas. This shop is a must see for moms. It is the only shop in town that has cloth diapers, and the owner can tell you all you need to know. They also are a home to classes for kids, such as baby sign language and get-togethers for new moms. And lastly, the shop supports the community doing public service projects to keep our kids safe and healthy. I cannot say enough good things!

Given their limited hours (especially for us working moms) and having to drive across town it will likely not be possible for me in which case it would have been way more convenient for me to order to my house. When I bought the car seat I tried scheduling an appt when through their website and that function was not working, and it did not specify it was only Monday through Friday only. Overall happy to support a local business but I think it would have been more convenient to have just bought online and shipped to my house.

This last visit is my last with this place or kid to kid in general. I'm not sure who's doing the pricing or what has changed but prices have gone up insanely! Let me tell you 49.99 for used pair of Jordan's/nikes with no box and worn I go across the street and run to the other stores. Some of the shoes that I have looked at or overly priced also I've seen many shoes that were heavily worn scratches scuff heel drag you name it a lot of the shoes have it seen some for 29.99 34.99 it's just not good. Some clothes are overpriced as well. You bring in clothes to sell you'll get a quarter or half a dollar just for it to turn around and sell for 8$. They are very very picky with what they take in. Not sure what happened to this store. They have decent selection but prices are not what they use to be for second hand kids clothes, toys, & necessities.

Some with tags, others in like new condition. Also has at least a dozen pairs of shoes, half of which have never been worn and still had tags. They had the audacity to offer $33. When I asked about the remaining that was being donated, I was told that they bought pretty much everything in the totes. Honestly what a JOKE! I had 2 friends who previously sold clothes there and warned me about this new "system" Needless to say, we will not be coming back. I couldn't get my clothes back because they already tagged them and I'd spend about $33 in gas driving there. Lesson learned! Also would like to add that after I received my offer text, I tried to reach out via phone and had no answer after 8 calls and voicemails. I had to reach out over Facebook to get a response.

Ample parking space available in a small shopping center. Outside entrance is full of strollers,…read morehowever, at the price for used strollers with well worn wheels, it appears they may be there quite a bit longer. My first thought was $65 for an old dirty stroller was not the best first impression. Clean it up and maybe. Upon entry the store appeared quite organized. Aisles and aisles of clothes for boys and girls were heavily packed into the store. You will need to take some time to sort through the clothes. Lots of bouncers, strollers, rockers, and other baby gear is on the first aisle near entry. Ride ons, early walker and ride toys were on top of aisles, so you had to ask for help to view or purchase. There was a section with smaller toys and shoes in the back area, but it was super crowded and appeared like the kids in the store were doing a good job of making a total mess, while parents were browsing out of eyesight. Prices seemed firm on 50% of original cost, even though some items in store appeared to have more than normal wear and tear for one child. However, there are some good bargains here if your willing to dig. Since I find it quite entertaining to find unique pieces at a bargain, I'm game. They were having a great clearance deal on clothing, with all clearance clothes being $0.50. I found about four pieces for my grandson, however, the boys clearance section was tiny tiny tiny, and very difficult to find anything with other impatient customers constantly moving within inches of where I was browsing on the rack and pushing hangers my way. It's like these poor people never left their homes before and don't know how to behave in public. Surprisingly the girls clearance section was very large. I found the employees to be quite polite and helpful. This is surprising since the customers seem to be drop outs of a basic etiquette class. The customers are quite rude and frequently violate your personal space, put their carts in the middle of the aisle and pretend not to notice you want to pass, let their kids roam all over and make a big mess with no concern that someone has to clean their mess up. I also had to listen to one woman yell at her kids repeatedly in public, so aggressively that I was concerned for her children. Newsflash! If you don't have the patience level or organizational skills for five plus kids - then don't have five plus kids!!!! This is not a place I would bring a child, due to the quality of customers. Come with a friend, and when you have time to really dig through the items. Expect to pay about 50% off retail, so look with a discerning eye. This was my first visit, cause I saw on Facebook they had a $0.50 clearance on clothing and my grandson is growing quickly. Oh and don't forget to pick up their frequent shopper card. It's not a big discount card, but after spending $200 in store, you get 15% off your next purchase. I purchased a full bag of baby clothes and a ride on toy, and spent about $50. Not sure if you can use the discount card at other stores, but it's worth a try.

I bought an 1830 French Clock from an antique dealer in Italy about 2 1/2 years ago. It was shipped to Houston via UPS. After I brought the box in the house and opened it I found the clock had been poorly packaged and the back glass was shattered and interspersed with the gears of the clock such that it wouldn't work. UPS said their shipping insurance only covers boxes opened in the presence of their UPS driver, not after you take the boxinto your home, even though I emailed UPS immediately the same day after opening the package and finding my broken clock. I researched clock repair shops in Houston and took the clock to Steve Woodward at Clock Country. Steve quickly partially disassembled the clock in front of me and recommended a complete cleaning and replacement of the broken back glass. After numerous disassemblies and reassemblies of the clock and checking it's time, Steve discovered that the large gear on the 4th wheel of the clock was very slightly bent, causing the clock to stop each time a few days after rewinding. Fortunately, Steve is tenacious and likes a challenge. He said we wanted to keep working on the clock until he got it running property. He succeeded and I picked up my clock just recently after almost 2 3/4 years. Thank you Steve !
