We had some very specific interior design styling that inspired certain hues of blues, grays and black. The interior designer came in and added most of our pieces, but we left the conference room wall and my office wall empty for these pieces to be commissioned by Joseph. We had an initial call, scoped out the proposed design and color scheme settled on a price and moved forward with the work. I have to say I'm very impressed with the final outcome and through the many Microsoft teams meetings I set on daily.... I'm complemented multiple times by the artwork behind my shoulder. Kathie is absolutely amazing and talented…read more I was trying to prepare a unique birthday gift for my wife, but I have limited experience and knowledge in fine arts. Luckily, I found Kathie on Google and Yelp. She replied very fast and explained everything very clearly. Then, we choose to do a half figure oil painting in 30 * 24. This portrait was worked from my wife's photo. After asking me about my wife's preference in arts, Kathie decided to change the original background (sky and sea) into a more classic one. I could imagine it wouldn't be easy to make two different pictures into one, because the artist had to adjust coloring, lighting and a lot of details very carefully. During the progress of painting, Kathie kept me updated and asked my feedback, until I felt it was perfect. The final work was astounding and totally beyond my expectations. My wife looked elegant in the portrait (of course in person as well) with abundant beautiful details on her hair and dress (which must be very time consuming for the artist, thanks Kathie). Because I lived overseas, Kathie also helped me a lot with packaging and shipping. She tracked the package everyday, until the painting was in my hands with perfect condition. My wife loves this gift very much. It's not only about the skills, but also the passion of the artist that we can tell from the portrait. For me, it was such a wonderful experience in preparing this gift, which I would like to share with all my family and friends. Unfortunately, it received some damage requiring a good portion of it to be restored. Carole was recommended. It was a process and took much effort but she was able to restore the mural and what she was able to do was beyond belief. Some areas so little was left, but was able to keep the mural true to form. She is an incredible artist in her own right and we are very happy she consented to do this job.

This review is long overdue. 4 years ago I remodeled my bathroom. Coming from an interior design…read morebackground, I'm extremely particular about who I have work on my home. I put a lot of time, money and creativity into the remodel, and therefore I was very particular about who I wanted to work with me on it. I hired Carole to paint back in the details on a vintage, Asian TV cabinet, that I turned into a bathroom vanity. Needless to say this wasn't an easy job. The vanity was initially orange and black, however, I had it painted a light turquoise color. When this was done, it completely concealed all of the intricate detail work underneath it. My former faux painter tried to come in and repaint all of the details back in, however, wasn't able to. The vanity has raised figures on the doors, which take a very delicate touch to get just right. There's also intricate gold fretwork around the doors as well as on the sides. When Carole came in, we sat down together, and discussed how I wanted it to look. We went over colors, different shades of gold, the overall feel of it, etc. She painted in not only on the raised figures but also elaborate artwork on the doors as well. Luckily, I had taken pictures of the cabinet prior to having it painted, so she was able to reference the previous artwork, and not just duplicate it, but make it 100 times better! It turned out to be a masterpiece! It is one of the star attractions of the remodel. Everyone who sees the bathroom is absolutely starstruck at how unique it and beautiful it is, and Carole's expert hand was an integral part of why that is. I can't recommend her enough and if you're lucky enough to have her to work in your home, you'll feel the same way. Her skills are easily on par with those of the old world masters. I hope to work with her again in the future, as I have a couple of projects in mind that I would like her to bring to life.Thanks again, Carole. You were a joy to work with.

Actually I really wanted a live painter after watching Bridgerton and seeing Daphne and Simon's painted portrait LOL. Anyway!! Laura was suuperrr sweet and friendly from the initial phone call! I still remember having a nice chat with her and her expressing sentiments about COVID rescheduling. She was super helpful with explaining the packages and sent me photos during our call while we were talking about paintings she had done! I knew I wanted to book her right away! She even mailed us a lovely welcome package which included a small painting of hers. On the day of our wedding, we didn't get to interact much but I loved being able to see the process of her painting for a short time during our reception!! For the painting itself: Laura was super clear about her questions such as art style for faces, detail level of the background and scenery, etc.. She sent us a rough draft immediately after the wedding and checked if I was ok with how my face looked in the painting haha! (I didn't change a thing! ) She even added our parents (who were sitting in the front row) to the back row of seats. I thought that was such a nice touch!! Laura stopped by our place and hand delivered the painting to us which was super kind of her!! It's now hanging above my desk. Thank you Laura for our wedding painting which we will cherish forever! No regrets splurging on this extra detail for our wedding!!

From start to finish, Laura was a pleasure to work with. She talked with the bride and groom to find out exactly what they wanted. Laura checked every box for them and us.
