I remember first seeing a "live painter" on TikTok and thinking to myself "that's so extra!" And then of course I completely changed my mind... Actually I really wanted a live painter after watching Bridgerton and seeing Daphne and Simon's painted portrait LOL. Anyway!! Laura was suuperrr sweet and friendly from the initial phone call! I still remember having a nice chat with her and her expressing sentiments about COVID rescheduling. She was super helpful with explaining the packages and sent me photos during our call while we were talking about paintings she had done! I knew I wanted to book her right away! She even mailed us a lovely welcome package which included a small painting of hers. On the day of our wedding, we didn't get to interact much but I loved being able to see the process of her painting for a short time during our reception!! For the painting itself: Laura was super clear about her questions such as art style for faces, detail level of the background and scenery, etc.. She sent us a rough draft immediately after the wedding and checked if I was ok with how my face looked in the painting haha! (I didn't change a thing! ) She even added our parents (who were sitting in the front row) to the back row of seats. I thought that was such a nice touch!! Laura stopped by our place and hand delivered the painting to us which was super kind of her!! It's now hanging above my desk. Thank you Laura for our wedding painting which we will cherish forever! My husband and I gifted our son and his fiancé with a live painting from Laura. They got married in May, 2023 at the Holualoa Inn on the Big Island and this was truly a hit at the reception. From start to finish, Laura was a pleasure to work with. She talked with the bride and groom to find out exactly what they wanted. Laura checked every box for them and us. Laura Jane's art was a gift from my family at our rehearsal dinner. We had no idea that she would come the next day to our wedding and create such a beautiful gift and art for our home. My sister worked with her beforehand to pick the package that my family wanted and we ended up with two beautiful paintings -- one from the ceremony and one from the reception. Laura Jane arrived at the wedding venue and set up and we had the opportunity to interact with her a few times and she was such a joy to work with. She also interacted with our guests and made it a fun experience for them to watch her do her magic. Laura took the paintings home and added her "finishing touches" for a beautiful piece of art that today hang in our home. Contacted this painter because I was so in love with her work. Unfortunately she is all over the place and has no idea about her calendar and dates that have been booked. We spoke over a period of a week via phone and email. It was confirmed to me several times by Laura that she was available on my wedding date for 2 live paintings and last minute right as I wanted to pay her in full she claimed that she had made mistake and franticly emailed me stating she had another client already booked with a deposit for that date. I was shocked as I had already planned other vendors around her scheduled and had gave up the date with another live painter since Laura had confirmed our date was available. I will never work with her or recommend anyone to her EDIT: Responding to the below from vendor. It's unfair to say that when I clearly told you we were out of town with no Wifi. I asked for an extension, you granted it but did not honor it. You "booked" another bride, took their deposit but when my friend Sara reached out to you several weeks later you where suddenly available for the same date I had requested prior.
