We've been here multiple times, but this is my first time writing a review and it is definitely well deserved. The vibe of the restaurant is always amazing. I love the music playing in the background, and the Mumbai themed décor is so unique and thoughtfully done. It really adds to the whole experience. Coming to the food, I specifically went for the happy hour chaat platter. I reached around 6:56 PM, and the platter is only available from 5 to 7 PM. Initially, I could not find it on the menu, and our assigned server was different. However, Rohan recognized us from our previous visits and came over. When I mentioned I was there just for the chaat platter, he kindly checked and found the menu for us. He let us know it would take about 20 minutes to prepare, which we were completely fine with. The platter arrived in about 20 to 25 minutes, and it was absolutely worth the wait. Everything from the bhel puri, pav bhaji bites, samosa chaat, to the sandwich was delicious, flavorful, and very satisfying. The chai was also really good. I have been trying a few Indian places around east side to find a go to. I think I found the one!! Fusion India is (obviously) fusion but it doesn't stray too far away from Indian roots. The food is really amazing, probably a bit on the spicier side if you aren't used to spice (but you can choose to do low spice) and it is a bit expensive, but worth it in my opinion. The serving size is great too. The vibe inside is also super unique, it's Bollywood themed and just generally different than what you'll have seen elsewhere. The service is also really good. Our server was super friendly and everything came out in generally good speed. Parking was pretty easy for us for us to find, we came around 8:30 pm. When we walked in Saturday night, there was about a 15-20 mins wait before we were seated. The food came out fairly quickly and everything tasted delicious. They were careful about my gluten allergy and had plenty of options. Nikki was our server and she was friendly. Our group tried Indo-Chinese and they loved everything. I tried the peshawari chicken. It was nice and creamy. Nikki did tell us that it was only one big piece of chicken which was helpful because we were ordering family style. 30 minutes north of seattle - I came here with a group of 9 with no reservation on a saturday and we were able to be seated in around 25 minutes. They have live music and fun decorations. Our waiter was very helpful and gave us great suggestions. We ordered many items: Veg items: I really enjoyed my paneer chote miyan roll. The price was fairish ($13) and the paneer amount/flavor was good. The other paneer appetizer was also really good. I would probably order both again if I go back. The paneer curry was very normal as compared to other places and exactly what you would expect. I would try something else. The pushpa train (fire hoon mein) was an interesting concept. I wasn't exactly sure what I was eating, but I knew it was crispy and flavorful. It was prices at $16 which is far too much for the amount of food given. Non Veg Items: *(I did not try any of these this is based on my friend's feedback)* It looks like the Chicken train wasn't much of a hit, but instead opt for the chicken lollipop. It seems like the biryani, chicken, and mutton curry went quickly as well. Again, it seems like the price does not match the quantity. Overall, I would recommend checking out this place for the novelty and the fun serving concepts. The food is quite average, but that's not what people are coming here for. We walked in on a late Friday night around 8pm and was surprised that there was a 30mins wait for a table. This appears to be a popular place and did not disappoint. The menu has so many varied options, and the taste hits the spot. We tried the vada pav ,pani puri, kofta and rumalinroti, garlic naan. Everything was pretty good. However what makes this place even more intriguing is the presentations. The burning train which is essentially an Indian styled chicken lolipop literally came as a burning train. The desserts were phenomenal as well. I tried the Sizzler and it was really delicious. The Paan cocktail and Banta Soda were refreshing. The one cuisine which didn't stand out was Amritsari Fried fish. It lacked the flavour and the quantity was a bit disappointing. The guave based cocktail was also about average. While certainly not bad, it was also certainly not what Indian food usually has to offer. We went with our usual pick of malai kofta which is usually a super flavorful, cashew based curry with spiced kofta balls. While smooth and creamy, this one didnt have the tangy and spicy zest we are use to which left it a bit bland. That being said, even bland malai kofta is still good. Garlic naan is one of the beast breads out there so unless there is something pretty wrong, it will never take away from the meal. This was no exception. The ambience was very different from room tor room. The moment you enter the place it has old Bollywood posters and loud music and when you enter the main dinning room it is surprisingly quiet and with a more upscale feel. The service was good with people checking up pretty regularly and fast seating. As for the price, it was a bit pricy for what we got. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Food here is good, but the service and attitude of the lady at front desk is the worst. We have ordered take out from this restaurant multiple times and every single time orders are extremely delayed and they forget or miss" adding an item to the order after taking full payment. This has happened EVERY time so I'm inclined to believe they do it on purpose. We called the restaurant to report the error and each time there was No apology and no offer of refund to card. (Just store credit) We have come for in person dining here too and the lady at the front desk is extremely rude to customer's especially if you have no reservations in advance. The service was quick and responsive. I got the fusion vada pav, paneer roll, veg kebab, rocket man naan, veg patiala and chilly onion naan. I also had the samosa chai combo. The vada pav was larger than usual in size and delicious. The paneer roll was very flavourful and so was the kebab. The main veggie - patiala came with side of rice and I hadn't had that type of dish before. It was new and delicious. I liked the spice level. The naans were fresh. I think overall the food was fantastic and I am surprised to find a good Indian place in Seattle area. The items on the menu were hard to visualize mainly because of the names (Indian movie theme) and the items were definitely pricey. The presentation is great, which makes it a good candidate for Instagram. We ordered couple chicken appetizers (can't recollect the names), Pani Puri Shots, and grilled whole chicken. The whole chicken's presentation was great however was extremely difficult to cut through as we were not give any steak knife. We in fact requested them to cut it for us, which they gladly did. Pani Puri shots were good. The Pani was more on the sweeter side. The other chicken appetizer was cheesy and tasted like it had cashew, which was our most favorite. For entrees, we ordered the Chicken Dum Biriyani, Rumali Roti and goat curry. It is usually rare to find Rumali Roti in the US. The ones you find are not that soft. These were really good. Must try here. The goat curry was a perfect combo. The dum biriyani was good as well. Not too spicy but flavorful. They charged us 18% gratuity which we are noticing a lot these days. We started with the fusion vada pav which was big enough to be a meal on its own! Basically a samosa sandwich with lots of delicious spicy chutneys. I got the Dangal paneer which was well spiced and very flavorful. It came in a slightly smaller size than my partner's entree but with rocket naan which was unique and yummy. My partner got the butter chicken which was a bit sweeter and less spicy than he hoped but overall excellent portion sizes with plenty to take home! Food is on the heavier side but probably due to what we ordered. One detractor is that there can be a lot of smoke in the restaurant so I left coughing a bit - 4.5 stars rounded up because of this.
