I don't know if Fusion has too many offerings or if it just comes down to poor communication. I enrolled in the AKC Star Puppy Class. I had to miss a class and I asked the instructor and the receptionist to send me the syllabus for the class I missed. Neither people followed through with the material. The instructor was odd about it which makes me believe they don't have one. I have attended 5 different schools in the last 20 years and this by far was the worst instructor and format I have come across. They don't have make up classes which I thought was odd as all the other schools I've attended catered to the customers needs. I enrolled so the class would not be cancelled due to attendance to help out a friend. I am now enrolled in Go Anywhere Dog classes. I took the initial puppy class and thoroughly enjoyed the class and instructors. read more

Have taken many classes here for all levels of agility, therapy dog, others, plus seminars, ALL instructors are amazing, positive while not coddling you/your dog, and they keep each class balanced as far as not one student getting all the ring time, or if they spend a little more on one dog it's something which is helpful for everyone to observe. We've also boarded our dogs here (a lot of places won't take our intact males) and attended the Halloween party! We also have trained at several other area agility & obedience/other training facilities. Fusion is Awesome. Sometimes a little snafu with registrations but if you keep on top of things on your end, and your paperwork is in order (read the website, ask questions!) their staff is ready to help sort out any issues. We have been to many different dog daycares and boarding facilities and my husband used to work at one so we tend to be pretty picky about where to send our dogs. Many are really made to optimize profit often at the expense of the dog and their well-being. This absolutely is not the case with fusion pet retreat. We were completely pleased with how our Daycare trial went for our two dogs. We got a great tour of the facility. It was very clean and notably. It was one of the few places where when you go into the back, the dogs in their kennels are not barking and crying or showing any signs of distress . Most of them were sleeping soundly in their respective areas. The manager was great. Answered all the questions and gave us a very thorough rundown of what to expect. Sion is very unique and that they do many different things to accommodate the specific personality of the dog. And it was very obvious that the people who work here understand dogs and enjoy them. It is an open play experience, but they do not have the dogs play all day every day, which is actually very good for them! They have them take breaks so they do not get over stimulated-which is unique to Fusion and highlights their knowledge of dogs. The place is huge and not at all crowded. They have several different areas for the dogs to play so that they can easily group them by play style. My one dog it's only eight months old and newer to this environment so he was a little timid. We got many videos and photos of him playing with other More timid dogs, and several staff members who slowly introduced him to the bigger area and he was very happy. Our puppy trainer recommended Fusion and we've been taking our dogs there for more than a year. They are WONDERFUL. Our trainer recommended them because the staff here are all very knowledgeable about dog behavior and best practices for managing dog behavior. So I know the work I'm doing with them at home will be continued at daycare. They do a nice job of giving the dogs play time and break time -- on hot days the pool comes out, on rainy days, they can play inside. The facility itself is nice, modern and clean. Everyone who works here is friendly and extremely competent managing dogs. I get a great report card every day my dogs are at daycare (extra charge) so I can see what their day was like. We've also participated in the training program, which Fusion has recently expanded. We put our puppy through Basic Manners and our older dog through "reactive behavior" training. Both classes were excellent. The instructors are great and really focus on answering your questions and helping you/your dog. I really love their training programs and they are really pretty reasonable price-wise for what you get. We've used the grooming services, which is just an extra bonus because we can get that taken care of while they are at daycare. I have never boarded them overnight here, but otherwise can recommend just about any and all services from Fusion. read more

I made a reservation and it showed confirmed in my account. I got there this morning and I find out I was wait listed. I have a huge home project going on with a dog that has no place to go. I have been a client with them since they were Aunt Ruthie's - daycare, boarding and training. So disappointed. Will be searching for other alternatives. read more

We love Fusion and our Springer Spaniel, Archie, has always had a great experience. We've used Fusion for training, day care, boarding, and grooming and we've never had a bad experience. Tonite we had our first training class for Hank (my dog). It was so good. Hank was scared at first but the room was large and each person had an area to themselves to work with their dog. Tonite we learned wait, sit, lay down, and we learned how to use the mat. It was really interesting and very clear. We got an email after class recapping all of the work and giving us homework. I can see where this will be very beneficial to Hank and I. Hank is a rescue that we've had for a few short weeks and we love him so much. This will help us build good habits and help keep Hank safe and healthy. read more

We've been really happy with the training, but I signed my puppy up for doggy daycare and was told at 4:30 the night before his first visit that I didn't have the proper paperwork turned in and he couldn't attend. This has left me in a tough spot at the last minute and Fusion didn't care nor offer any help. I questioned why I was just hearing about this at 4:30 the night before and was told they have hundreds of dogs and I should have read the website. I turned all my paperwork in weeks ago, so while I understand it's on their website, if there was a discrepancy why couldn't they have checked that when I turned in the paperwork. I will not be using them for doggie daycare and may just pull out of our next training round. Again, if I've been allowed to be at training, why are his records not ok for doggy daycare, this place is NOT well organized!!! read more

This place is pretty new and really huge. Not only do they board dogs and cats, but bunnies and other small mammals. The space is bright, clean, and fresh. The staff offer grooming services, obedience training, and canine spa services like massages. The front desk area houses a retail area with foods, treats, toys. We board our dogs here and my only complaint is I wish they had a webcam so I could check in on my poochies. The boarding rooms are generous and dogs from the same family can room together. The cat play area is used for one cat at a time, unless they are family, to avoid fights. The outdoor and indoor dog play areas are spacious and no more than 10 dogs are in the play area at once, to avoid overcrowding and fighting. Dogs are rested after a half hour of play, perfect for dogs that really wear themselves out in playtime. My mini doxie has epilepsy and I like knowing a vet tech administers his medication. They are very thorough when ensuring they know your exact feeding instructions, meds, and any other personal requests to make your pets feel at home. read more

My pup Lucy missed early socialization due to being born in a kill shelter then separated from her littermates. Finding a daycare that accepted her and made her feel comfortable was hard. I haven't really been a fan of taking my 2-year old Morkie to boarding facilities with family right down the street. And the same with day care. When there was a scheduling conflict for Thanksgiving, I had to find a place to board Benji. The reviews weren't the best, but I had to find out for myself. I took a tour of the facility and was able to see how it all worked before bringing Benji here. I was impressed. They went over how they structure your dog's day. I did find it odd that the dogs didn't run around all day like I had experienced with previous doggie day cares. You can pay ($5/day) for report cards and they send you pictures and an update of how your pet is doing. Benji LOVES it here. We have boarded him 5 times since Thanksgiving and have taken him to day care a few times. When we will into the parking lot, he is so excited to go in. Not to mention, the staff remember him and he goes running right up to them. A big thing to consider when looking for a place to board your dog is how they treat the animals. Benji and other dogs are treated as if the staff are their owners. They give them love and attention. I'm happy I found this place for my pup. I would highly recommend Fusion! read more

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. We brought our dog here to get groomed and they clearly don't know what they are doing. It was supposed to be his first haircut, so he was probably scared - they called and made me pick him up because he was too restless when getting blow dried... and then still had to pay. Absolutely ridiculous. If you are going to groom dogs you should learn how to handle them when they are scared and restless when getting blow dried. Not to mention he's a 5 lb dog. I would not recommend this place to anyone. And looking at other reviews- looks like they've had issues in the past with this. Disappointing. read more

I boarded my dog once and it was a decent experience, so I turned to them for my shihtzu's grooming needs. As many grooming places are, they were booked out for a long time. I accepted this. As my grooming day finally approached, they called to cancel my dog's appointment stating a groomer quit. I understand some things are out of your control as a business, so I took the next spot graciously. Then, right before the next appointment, I got another call to inform me they are canceling all appointments because all the groomers quit. They were willing to give recommendations, but that doesn't change that every place is booked out far in advanced. The truth is, they have affected the health of my dogs coat and will likely be more expensive for me. I'm honestly surprised they weren't trying to do more damage control by offering some sort of discount on the next board or daycare for the hassle. read more

This place is terrible for dog day care. The facility and staff are nice but your dog only gets to play for 20 minutes at a time and then sits in a kennel for 60-80mins before getting to play again for another 20 minutes. So after being at doggy daycare for 9-10 hours, your dog only gets to play for 2 hours. It is egregious that Pet Fusion has the nerve to charge you the same price as other dog daycare facilities when the other facilities let your dog play all day(~$28-32). We have regularly used a lot of other places in the metro area and they are all far superior to Pet Fusion. Places, like Wag and Woofs or Wagging Tails, will charge you the same price to let your dog play all day ~ 9-10hrs. Other places, like Metro Dogs will let your dog play all day with a 2hr lunch/nap break ~ dog plays for 7-8hrs. Bottom line, avoid Pet Fusion at all costs. But if you have to use them, ask if you can pay 1/3rd the rate because your dog will just sit in a kennel most of the day. read more

The staff were very friendly I felt confident dropping my puppy off to get his first haircut. An hour later I got a call that my puppy was ready to get picked up. They had gone on to tell me that they had given him a bath and when they started to blow dry him he freaked out and started biting (which as a puppy I would be freaked out by a blow dryer as well. Also, his biting is his way of saying he doesn't like it) anyways she said they couldn't perform the rest of the service which was the grooming part and that he was sitting in the blow dry kennel. I get it, when a dog is biting it is hard to deal with but he is a 9.5 lb teddy bear dog who again is a PUPPY! 7months old and they couldn't even handle him. Didn't even seem like they tried to calm him down or do anything to try and finish the service. Then I had to pay 50$ for a bath which I could've given to him at home. Finnegan had an amazing time doing daycare here! He's a peculiar little dude with a lot of little quirks, but they've been absolutely wonderful with him! They actually understand dog behavior and how to appropriately take care of a dog in daycare, instead of just throwing a bunch of dogs in one big room and hoping for the best. They're also able to customize their stay for dogs who may not want to play with a lot of other dogs (one-on-one play with another dog) or dogs who don't want to play with other dogs at all (playing with staff individually). I felt like I could trust them with Finn, which I have an extremely hard time doing. I work remote now full-time, but I'd love to send him back sometime if I ever go out of town. He was always so excited to go in, and never wanted to leave. And they have Megan Janning now too, who is amazing!! read more

I've been bringing my yellow lab puppy to Fusion Pet Retreat since he was just a couple months old (he is now 4 months old). I initially took a tour and was impressed with the facility. It is clean and well laid out. They thought of everything and really cater to pets of all ages. My puppy attends doggy daycare a few times a week and he just loves it. He can't wait to get through the doors to receive his belly rubs and attention from all the staff. He comes home happy and worn out, but not exhausted. Going to daycare really helps work out his energy (which is generally boundless). I've also started Puppy Kindergarten with him. The training facility is impressive! The agility course is huge and there are training areas for several classes at a time. I would like to keep going to classes and progress to make it through the Canine Good Citizen test. Overall, I am very impressed with Fusion Pet Retreat! My puppy gives it two paws up! read more

After many overnight, weekend and week long stays at Fusion, it is finally time to leave a review. I often recommend Fusion for people who have the need for daycare or boarding geriatric dogs or those with anxiety about being in big packs. After using other boarding facilities where our pups are on their feet all day in a huge pack, the still active 3 year old dogs would return home run into the ground. Although the idea of "intentional playgroups" seems very "millennial dog parenting", it makes perfect sense for a dog to feel at ease and not overwhelmed about being away from their usual environment. The human to dog ratio is one of the best in the Twin Cities. Their staff genuinely care about our dogs and their well being. We never stress about them being boarded because we know they are in good hands. Last summer, I called to check if I should return home to pick up a day earlier than expected and was told, "Moose is busy right now playing in a kiddie pool." read more

My wife and I took our 10 month Golden Retriever here for a short weekend while we were on vacation. We picked him up and found out a day later he had kennel cough from here (yes he is vaccinated for bordetella). Fusion Pet Retreat to the rescue! My dog has separation anxiety and started to destroy his cage, himself, and our home. We decided to do doggy daycare during the day to deal with this until we get things worked out. We initially started with another facility that has 20-25 dogs in a room together for free play all day. My dog did well for a few weeks, but he ended up going after a dog unprovoked. At this point that facility said he couldn't come back. I was so worried that no other daycares would take him. The original daycare recommended Fusion as an option for us. They are more expensive, but they took their time with him and found a specific group of dogs that he is compatible with for play time. They also only play for small amounts of time so he doesn't get overstimulated. I am so glad this place exists for dogs that may not be able to handle most dog daycare environments. read more
