In fact, Gentle Care Grooming just signed another 5 year lease so they are "here to stay". Vanessa (the owner) and her husband run a 2 man show. I have taken both of my dogs (shitzaus) there for the past 13 years and I can say without a doubt that they do a wonderful job. I always feel my dogs have been well taken care of and loved while they are away at the "beauty shop". Their building is in a little bit of a run down strip mall but don't let that influence you from using them. Their hours can get a little tricky as they are only open from 7:30am to 3pm (or whenever the last dog gets picked up) Tuesday - Saturday. This is NOT a doggy day care so be expected to pick up your pet close to the time he/she will be finished. Have you cash or check book handy as do not take any credit cards. I would highly recommend this groomer to anyone in need of one!

I really appreciate that this is a family-owned small business and not a large chain like a number of the other local doggy daycare/boarding facilities. They get to know all of the pups super well. They are really "blossomed" the past year and a half in terms of offering tons of fun theme days where you can get photos of your dog dressed up and participating in activities (bunny ear photos and Easter egg hunt for Easter!) They also post fun updates to social media and have tons of cameras so you can check in on your pup throughout the day if you choose. They have helped me out soooo many times including when I have been running late for the pick-up or reaching out for a late reservation or an add-on service. The ability to be able to have Nora get groomed, nails clipped, and her anal glands expressed all during a regular day at daycare is amazing and so convenient. When we moved just over a year ago, we literally made sure to keep in mind the distance between us and Wag 'n Woofs because bringing her elsewhere was not an option. It's fun to see all the pups play throughout the day. The camera is also how I know my dog likes some workers more than others and when he is (or is not) having a good time. With any doggy daycare sickness tends to travel around and my dog has fallen sick from daycare before. Something to be aware of. Overall a good daycare for your pet.

I want all dogs to leave with their tails wagging and return willingly. I regularly attended workshops and seminars to stay up to date on all of my techniques. I used the highest quality equipment and shears. Blades are all sharp and dryers run perfectly. As far as I am concerned, there is no margin for error in grooming. You either have it, or you don't. Was not pressured to buy but I did end up leaving with multiple things. The ladies working were very friendly. Because of this expierence we decided to bring in our puppy to get her nails done. She was nervous and so was I. We were greeted right away and were introduced to the groomer who would be doing Ruby's nails, I believe her name was Kelsey. She was very personable and very caring. She was able to calm down our scared little pup and did an amazing job. 10/10. I will be telling everyone about how smooth and relaxing this experience was. We will be back to see Kelsey and hope this place is around for a long time.

They have cameras in every room so you can always see what your pup is up to. They start with a slow introduction with dogs, slowly increasing the number in a room to ensure your dog is okay and not overwhelmed. They have a website for easy online booking or an app as well! I love the app as I waste away my afternoons watching the cameras to see her play! Staff has always been so great and my dog LOVES it here!! When you board, you can specify when and how much your dog eats. You can add on services such as one on one interaction time, snuggle, grooming, nail trim, etc! On your first day, you get a welcome packet and photos of their first day! Minnie and me love it here!

Total transparency: I haven't gotten any of their "dog salon" services... yet…read more A doggy daycare seemed like very extravagant extra spending to me until I got a very hyperactive puppy and our Minnesota winter happened. During the summer, spring, and fall she is a-okay because she's walked every single day - but when the walks are shorten because it's 10° we all know what happens. Cue: doggie daycare consideration. They seemed a little understaffed, but hey that's the new normal with COVID. What I can tell you is they average about three dollars an hour with me to take care of my puppy... the same price I'd pay a neighbor kid to walk them - but I get 8-10 HOURS of puppy free time. ... AND puppy is usually completely spent for 10-15 hours after I get her back. She knows exactly what / where Camp BW is and loses her stuff every time we pull up. So - for me five stars. Will update if I get wonky salon services. But for the most part the staff is courteous enough - the hours are right - and it seems to be priced okay. For now I will keep recommending (and budgeting for) CBW for my sanity in our cold MN winter months.

IF it's rescheduled they pick a random day and time without any regards for your time/schedule. Also, quite frequently, they will text you the day of your appointment and state they're coming earlier or later - and then occasionally don't show up at what time they then switched it to. The owner repeatedly says "your area is hard to route" when I have emailed or text to follow up, but it CLEARLY states on their website they service my area. AND we have booked services multiple months in advance to make sure they have time to organize the route.
