Dancers, parents, and office staff are great. Dance instruction is good, although if you care about your dancer's mental health and self-esteem, stay away. The dance team and studio director Jami Gobee puts an enormous amount of stress on these dancers and then criticizes them when they can't handle the stress. She refused to allow any medical accommodations that were provided, and repeatedly told us that she knows more as a dancer than our surgical doctor and therefore wouldn't accept the notes!! Instead of allowing accommodations, she made punishing threats and forced my child to take all of her classes when she was injured and sick. With every request, I received a cold and rigid response like the one copied from the other reviewer. Jami and her dance teachers regularly humiliated and ridiculed my child for her anxiety when they were the root cause of that anxiety, and told her that her dancing was getting worse (I wonder why....). Anxiety increased exponentially during her time at Fusion, and dropped almost instantly once we left. Jami told the entire dance team not to talk to us when we left, which speaks volumes to her character. They are all afraid of this woman. I would love to say that this is a good studio, but Jami creates an unhealthy environment for youth that I would not recommend to anyone. So unfortunate and so misguided. read more

I took a technique class with Chelsea Wednesday and I LOVED it. She has high expectations and pushes you to achieve your best. At the end of class, after I am spent, she has us do like a million Sautés then Relevé in first and hold it. She says something to the effect of..... take all that energy and quiet it. That's what makes a dancer, being able to create all that energy and harness it. That resonates with me and I appreciate it. Granted I am bay FAR the oldest in the class, but personally I don't mind it. I find it both nostalgic and inspiring. Overall great studio, and I can see in the girls the fabulous technique they have. Beautiful dancers, and Chelsea is a great teacher! read more

My daughters have been dancing at Fusions for years and they love it! They've become very close with several of the teachers and have built special friendships with other students. As a parent, I like their schedule as they have a mix of classes on different days/times and I am glad they enforce a conservative dress code which is age appropriate. My daughter has been dancing here for a year. We have danced with 2 other studios and this is by far the best all-around. My daughter is 8 and made the choice to leave her other team to dance here because she loves it so much. The experience has pushed her to grow her technique and confidence. Options range from the recreational dancer or beginner who wants to come and have some fun taking ballet, hip/hop, jazz or acro to the early performer who would like to do a bit more and be on Dance Club (perform in the community and do 2 competitions) and Competition Team (competes at 6 competitions, requires audition). Teachers CARE. They will push your child and will teach them correct technique. The training your child puts in pays off at the fabulous end of the year recital. Routines are impressive - the best I have seen for a recital. Allie works very well with the girls, is encouraging, fun and knows how to balance that with the right level of tough. My daughter loves her! Particularly because she choreographs for both dance clubs (Mini & Junior) and works really hard to help you child grow. Her routines are super fun and energetic. Rebecca is a beautiful dancer. She is very patient and is strong at developing your child without making them feel defeated. I get distracted watching her dance instead of my daughter because she is that good! Nikole is very technical, which I love. My daughter feels this is her toughest teacher but she's motivated to try and "do what Miss Nikole told her to do". She's approachable and gives feedback well. Alyssa is an amazing hip hop teacher. She's fun and has got my daughter interested in hip hop when she always avoided it since she's more of a jazz dancer. Her routines are interesting, fun and creative. We can't wait to do Mini Club Hip/Hop next year! Carrie the acro teacher is so fun, encouraging and animated I want to take her class. My daughter runs to her classes because she has so much fun and even wants to take her class on Saturday mornings (my kid is not a morning person!). Sandra, the owner knows your and your child's name, is sweet and approachable. Not sure how she remembers everyone, but its awesome. She is consistent and fair. The schedule offers a great variety of times and days of classes for flexibility and works with dancers of all levels. If your still not sure, come in. You can take a class for free to check it out and see if its a good fit. Parents can view dancers through a looking glass and there are areas to sit and wait (although most of us drop off since they are there for hours). The studio is adorable. There are 3 large rooms that can be rented for other things and parties. There is even a break room for the girls to safely sit in while they wait for classes to start, to study or just hang out in between classes. Price is very reasonable. In the summer you purchase per class but in the fall you select your classes and are auto-billed. Dancers can make up their missed classes within a month. I choose to go unlimited because its the most bang for your buck if your kid really loves to dance! read more

This is such a NiCE studio! Everyone is super helpful. Registration went smooth! We registered my 9 year old in ballet. She told me after the 1st day of class that she might just like Ballet more than her acting class... And she LOVES her acting class! We are going to add jazz to her schedule next month! Yay!! Fantastic dance studio! After visiting several studios, my 15 year old daughter decided to go with Fusion. They have a great variety of classes, and the teachers are exceptional. Due to my daughter's crazy school schedule, they offer a punch card system so that you can purchase a number of classes and you can take whichever ones work for your schedule. My daughter has been dancing at this studio for years. We have danced at other studios in the area but our daughter wasn't comfortable, so when we found Fusion Studios, which by the way it came highly recommended by a couple of my daughter's school friends....we didn't hesitate to give it a try. My daughter quit her soccer team immediately after coming to this studio and taking her first class. She fell in love with all the teachers. Fusion is not only a dance studio, it is a family. She continued to thrive and was offered many opportunities due to the excellent training the studio offers. The studio owner is very loving and my daughter immediately fell in love with the whole environment. Another reason why we loved this studio is because the owner tries to keep it modest/conservative. When we first went to our first competition I remember my jaw dropping from seeing other studios allowing their dancers to dress so age inappropriate. We give our daughter the BEST and we couldn't be happier to have been able to find this amazing studio for her training and her growth as a well rounded human being. Now, as she looks forward to her senior year in high school, she continues to take ballet classes with Janine and Nikole, the most amazing ballet teachers...but every teacher there is super amazing and we look back and we feel so thankful for finding this gem in the southbay. read more
