So one Saturday afternoon we took a drive up to Laval. When we walked in we were in cheesecake heaven. I wish i could have tried anything i wanted but they only had 3 kinds in the freezer available, i took one of each and was absolutely delighted. The texture is nice and light almost that of a whipped cheesecake. I did find out you can call ahead 48 hrs to place a custom order which i definitely plan on doing as their Crème brûlée and Bailey's cheesecakes were screaming my name. The Long Version: My husband and I stopped by Pâtisserie Jouri on the way home to Ottawa to pick up some pastries for my parents. It was one of two bakeries on our way back and was definitely the best bang for our buck. I got 3 pastries. They were $3.25 each and were gigantic. They were more than twice the size of pastries at other places. I got a raspberry almond croissant, an almond croissant and a pear and custard Danish. The great thing about getting my parents food is that they always offer to share it with us, so getting them food is like getting ourselves food. Haha. I had a small taste of each pastry and they were delicious. Very fresh and flakey. The pear and custard Danish was my favourite, but the others were good too. The croissants had a good amount of ground almond filling. There wasn't too much raspberry filling in the raspberry one, but that's ok because it kept it from being too sweet. Service was efficient. The decor is pretty with faux leather benches and funky light fixtures. Really nice place for a dessert date. There is free parking in front of the bakery, but it's just one row of parking and the street, which is very busy is behind you/in front of the bakery. So it's a bit of a pain to maneuver, especially if adjacent spots are occupied. Review #98 (2025)

Cakes, pastries, cookies, sandwiches, salads, pizza, bread, coffee and they also have Italian products where you could buy(cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, cold cuts, pantone ect). My favorites here are the cannolis, the lobster tale and also the sandwiches. I also love the cafe cream and the ice limoncello. This place is perfect to grab something in the morning but also good for lunch time and dinner. They also have a small eating area where ppl can eat the food that they order. For Valentine, I had their cupcakes: chocolate, vanilla. The chocolate cupcake was dry. The bottom of the cake was sticking on the cupcake paper. They seem to have changed recipe of their chocolate cakes. The vanilla cupcake was better, although not soft, nor moist. The frosting tasted like shortening rather than buttercream.
