No line weekday around noon. Staff were very patient when asked a ton of questions. Mango and de leche soft serve - super creamy. Mango tastes like fresh mango 9/10, de leche was a little bland for me 6/10. Vietnamese coffee was 12/10. So smooth, great flavor. Salted butter was what he recommended to go with the coffee flavor and it was 12/10. Went back to try 2 more flavors but Orange fig was 6/10, just not for me. Pandan was also 6/10 not for me. Texture was absolutely 10/10. Flavors were so fun and not too light. Lots of benches in the area to eat outside. No bathroom

This is hands down, the best ice cream I've ever had! I'm feeling sad as I write this review because I know that I'm not going to be able to have the taste of this ice cream again for a long time because I live in the U.S. and I was only in Montreal visiting for a few days. I promise you: the smoothness, creaminess of this ice cream is just unlike any other you've had. And to top it all off-you're definitely not getting any typical ice cream flavors here...nope, they're unique, well thought out, sensational flavors and flavor combinations. Don't let the line out the door discourage you. This ice cream is worth the wait and there isn't much of a wait anyway because it moves fast. Use what little wait time you have to choose your flavor (s). I had a mixed cup with half salted butter and half sour sop-so friggin good!

We went here as part of our Ice Cream tour around Montreal. Customerservice was lack Lester, and they only wanted to offer you one sample, which I think is ridiculous. They also only took cash and refused any kind of credit card which I also think is not great hospitality. We got a few of their ice cream flavors and they were fair and pretty standard. It wasn't impressive at all.

The ice cream flavors here are very unique - they had soft serve flavors of rose and lychee when I went and each had great flavors and was not too sweet. I went on a weekday afternoon and there wasn't a line. If you go on a weekend or at night, the line can be long! There is a relatively organized queuing system though. There's a large variety of flavors and portion sizes. They also have a mini cone if you don't want to get a large portion. Cash only.

My friends and I were just walking by and realized this opened in 15 minutes, and there wasn't a line yet. Thank goodness because once we got in line, it formed... and it was long. Their shop is one of Montreal's staples and I'm happy to say that they provide a few vegan friendly sorbet options. During our visit, they had wonderful tropical fruit flavors and you can split a small cup for the same price. Their mango was refreshing and a must try. Cash only! Make sure to bring them bills to pay for this delicious Vietnamese inspired ice cream.

The pandan and Vietnamese coffee was a great choice for us, as we thoroughly enjoyed it. Keep in mind this is cash only, and the establishment has adequate signage emphasizing this.

I walk by this place on every trip to Montreal, but it always has such a huge line-up and I'm always in a rush. This time, it was earlier in the day and the hordes hadn't arrived yet. Decided to dip in and see what the buzz is all about. Decided to make it easy and order whatever the special soft serve flavour was that day. Blueberry and honey - interesting! And very pretty. Note: Cash only! The flavour was a bit more subtle than I expected, I found it a bit hard to detect the honey, but I appreciated the naturalness of this blend. Lovely texture. The one cone was $7 or so. It was a nice treat on a nice day.

I was walking around the area shopping and stopped here for a treat. They had quite a few non-dairy sorbet options which is great for me. I had a berry & lychee sorbet. It was very flavorful. Nice sized portion. They do only accept cash so it was good I had a few Canadian coins with me. Definitely a place I will go again the next time I am in Montreal.

The ice cream was amazing! I've never had pandan ice cream but had other pandan deserts. The aftertaste is very automatic. The line was long but it was super worth it! You can taste test the flavors before getting it! The ambiance is very chill

Kem CoBa never disappoints. I always come for a visit (or two) every time I'm back in town. Their homemade soft serve is the best! They have a second location in Tétreaultville. There's always a lineup but it moves quickly. If the line wraps around the corner, be prepared to wait 15 to 25 minutes. - La Florida ($5.30) - coconut and orange sorbet soft serve. - Coupe verte ($5.74) - strawberry and blackberry. - La New Yorkaise ($5.30) - raspberry lychee and rose water. Unbelievably good. The two flavours were a perfect match. - Dulce de leche and pear sorbet ($5.30) - both were delicious but the pear sorbet was off the charts. - La bien-aimée ($5.30) - almond ice cream and sour cherry sorbet. Almond was fantastic but somewhat overpowered the subtle sour cherry. - Coupe bleue ($5.74) - hibiscus sorbet and soursop. Both refreshing and bursting with flavour. Kem Coba's still reigns supreme as my favourite ice cream place in the city.

Sometimes I worry about these places being a tourist trap. I must say it was definitely worth the longer drive. The flavors are so robust and fresh. We tried a few flavors and they didn't disappoint!

The ice cream and sorbet were both so smooth and delicious. Our server was so friendly and recommended pandan and mango which really tasted like mango sticky rice. Bit of a long wait since it's pretty touristy though.

Cash only. This dessert place is also very packed. The line moves fast and they have outdoor seating which helps. The soft serve melts pretty fast. It's probably because of the fast turnover. Flavors are very original and they also have the classic flavors. A highlight of my day.

The chocolate ice cream on the other hand is super saturated (note the Dutch chocolate is the same as the sea salt except the salt). While I loved the ice cream, unless I'm specifically in the mood for something creamy, I actually think I would prefer to get the sorbets next time for the more concentrated gelato-like flavor. The matcha sorbet seemed like a winner, but they also have such a wide range of delicious flavors. They let you try some flavors, which is perfect for an indecisive person like me. And the servers are so sweet!

We first got a double scoop of the Orange and Arctic Fire Sorbets. I'm not usually one to get orange-flavoured desserts/drinks since I can easily get some old-fashioned OJ, but this Orange Sorbet was absolutely divine on the hot day. Sweet and tangy, yet not overpowering. The Arctic Fire was an interestingly sweet with a floral tone - I wish I remembered the main ingredient, but I was too busy indulging in my ice-cream/sorbet addiction. The sorbets were incredibly good. After we devoured them, we went back in immediately to try more flavours. My friend and I ultimately decided on the Mango and Passion Fruit Sorbets, both representing tangy fruits that we enjoy and love. The owner highly recommended the Cantaloupe to help us cool off, and proceeded to give us a free scoop on top of our packed cup! We were so appreciative of the free scoop, and I'm glad we got to try it out! It was my favourite flavour - it genuinely tasted straight like the fruit, just an ice-y form. My friend's favourite was the Orange. If you're in the Mont-Royal area, make sure to give this place a try! I wish we tried some of their ice-cream flavours, but we already did 5 different sorbet flavours that night. Couldn't afford a brain freeze! I think from now on, I'm gonna start trying Orange-flavoured desserts/drinks.

Even though it was cold, we still stopped in for ice cream and the ice cream was terrific. A different take on a sundae with a hard chocolate shell, that shell is nearly impenetrable (even the thin layer) but was so good even by itself. And good ice cream too. Come and stop in! FOOD: The chocolates were good but not the best. See's Candies in California is so much better for flavor and variety. But we did love the look of them and the options they offered. The ice cream though is next level. Never had anything like it with that hardened chocolate shell. And even though it was tough to get through, it was delicious. I couldn't finish even a small one! So don't go too big unless you're sharing. SERVICE: Everyone was super nice and the portions were HUGE. Definitely they do it right here. COST: The chocolates were too expensive but the ice cream was a bargain! Definitely would go back if I'm in Montreal.
