This is her family business and she makes all of her members and clients feel loved like family. I recently completed a 60- day fitness challenge at Hardcore, run by Jen. I gained strength and confidence, while losing inches off my body. My favorite part of the 60 day challenge was the supportive community of other participants. People their stories, struggles, wins, tips, and support for each other both online in our group video discussions, as well as as in person at the gym. The community really keeps you engaged and focused on your goals. This experience has given me better knowledge of what my bad habits weee doing to my body and what good habits I could foster for benefits I want. It looked like fluffy dogs had been the participants of the class before the one I took - there was hair everywhere! From the straps to the jump board to the floor and in the middle of the reformer. I was given an additional comp class to try the studio out which they said was "regularly cleaned." At my next visit it wasn't as bad yet there was still much more hair than I would like- which is virtually none (I prefer not to lay in someone else hair while I'm working out and getting sweaty) Several months pass and I get a call from someone at the studio inviting me for another class. Unfortunately, I missed the class YET I received an email stating I get a do-over* literally a whole email like BUMMER you missed the class- not to worry you get a do-over. When I responded to the email to schedule my do-over I was then told I had received "too many comp classes," AFTER THEY INITIALLY REACHED OUT TO ME. It's a tiny studio and honestly not ran properly, they can't even keep track of their marketing and promotional efforts! Don't waste your time! Try STRNG Pilates down the street, they are cleaner and the staff is wayyyyyy NICER than the staff at Wunda Westlake so disappointing it's a cute space in a really good location and has potential just needs better management!

In the first three weeks of working with Arielle of AOK Fitness, I lost more than 4+ inches, including a full inch in my hips. Now that's what I call progress! I've never before trained the way Arielle works me. Her workouts are ever increasing in terms of difficultly, while addressing the areas I need to work on most, such as improved balance, enhanced core strength, and stronger neck muscles due to a chronic injury. Personally, Arielle is a delight. She is kind, understanding, and strong. She is also firm, but fair. And I love it that she can be so darn funny! Sometimes without even trying to be! Small-group classes and personal training are also available during the day based on the Black Card membership description. The schedule is available on the app. The Thousand Oaks location is pretty light in the evening, which is when we usually go. The app also shows the gym's current traffic, which is convenient. Staff is usually polite and pleasant, although we have minimal interaction since check-in is through the app. The restroom could use more cleaning. I'm not sure if there is a dedicated janitor or if it's handled by employees, but either way, a more consistent cleaning schedule would help. One tip for people who like to clean their equipment before using it: you might want to bring your own cleaning wipes. They provide spray bottles and cleaning paper, which is a little messy for me. With the cost of the membership, though, this is really not a complaint. Overall, we enjoy the convenience of the flexible hours and the variety of fitness options at this location.

Three weeks after that I've already slimmed down and feel way more fit than I have in 15 years. Steve is a fitness genius and I can't believe he's just part of our membership. The value he adds just with a few classes a week has made me feel like my fitness goals can be achieved; and he's a cool guy to boot :)
