If you are a college age student seeking employment with this company, think long and hard before…read moresigning on. This is a "bait and switch" for college age students seeking employment for the summer. The people who run this camp give very little information up front about how this camp is run--especially if you are an overnight worker (No overtime is given). The delay is long for the training modules. The people who run this camp seem to not care at all about the people they hire--or their experience--which is a terrible business model because this, of course, affects the kids' experience at the camp. IDTECH was not forthright about the hours (basically 12-14 a day), and they glossed over the realities of dealing with 15-17 young people who need medications, structure, and lessons in bullying. They do not have enough counselors for high-maintenance kids, and they do not staff enough people for the overnight options, as some kids are behavioral issues. As a parent of a college age senior who thought this would be a good opportunity, I would not recommend anyone sending their kids to this camp, and I would not recommend anyone seeking employment with IDTECH.

On top of that they continued to charge my card when I had already cancelled membership and they told me I would no longer get charged which was a false statement, due to my card continuing to get charged for 3 months of not attending. They really need to hire new employees that value the members. It got to a point where I felt very uncomfortable taking my kids. Adding on, they do not clean properly and do not follow Covid procedures.

I had an unbelievably hostile and unprofessional experience at Center Ice Arena during what was…read moresupposed to be a fun, recreational Adult Learn to Skate class. My friend and I registered to take Adult 3 together. My friend already knows how to skate and was completely willing to be evaluated. Learn to Skate USA's published Adult curriculum specifically states: "Based on prior skating experience, adults may choose to begin at the level that best matches their skill base." When Michelle McIntosh 'Jackie' refused to allow my friend to participate, I pulled up the published policy on my phone and showed it to her. Rather than simply reviewing the policy or evaluating my friend's skating ability, Jackie became increasingly argumentative and hostile and told me, "Wow, you just want to get your way." When I tried to de-escalate the situation and pointed out that this was a recreational adult skating class and really was not that serious, Jackie responded, "It is that serious," and continued making my friend feel extremely uncomfortable. Again, my friend was standing there perfectly willing to be evaluated. During the interaction, Jackie also inexplicably asked me, "Is that your wife?" referring to my friend. The question had absolutely nothing to do with the issue being discussed and, given her demeanor and the context in which it was said, came across as another unnecessary personal remark. Her behavior became hostile enough that I no longer felt comfortable or safe remaining at the facility. Jackie then took my skating card and told me she would refund the $228 I had paid. While we were waiting, I said to my friend, "Wow, what a waste," referring to the time and gas we had wasted driving there. Jackie overheard me, became angry again, and announced that she had changed her mind and would no longer refund me. So at that point, Center Ice had my $228, Jackie had taken my skating card, the class had begun without me, and she was refusing the refund she had just offered because she overheard me express frustration to my friend. I ultimately had to dispute the charge with American Express. Jackie expressly identified herself to me as an owner of Center Ice Arena, which makes the behavior even more concerning. I have since filed a formal complaint with Learn to Skate USA regarding Center Ice's administration of its Adult program and the interaction. There were countless reasonable ways to handle placement in a beginner-level recreational adult skating class. Becoming hostile toward two paying customers was not one of them. Extremely disappointing experience. Very unprofessional.

At no point did I agree to an ongoing subscription. Despite this, my card was later placed on auto-billing without my consent, and I was charged nearly $1,000 after the agreed period ended. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this directly via email, and have received no response, which is extremely concerning from a business that was previously very responsive during enrollment. While their program seemed positive initially, the billing practices and lack of communication have been unacceptable. Families should be very cautious and ensure they fully understand (and document) any cancellation terms in writing. I am still seeking a resolution and refund for the unauthorized charges.

This was our second time visit and we had just as much fun as the first time! The staff are so…read moresweet and kind, they engage with the kids/parents/visitors, and there is sooooo much for the kiddos to do while visiting. The space is huge and I must say the kiddos have the chance to run, jump, scream, and burn off sooooo much energy while parents/guardians can hang back a bit and allow kiddos to just have fun. This location is easy to miss is you're not paying attention to the signage and once you're in the parking lot, you'll want to enter at the door across from the gated open field. The other entrance (closest to Dekalb Industrial) will lead you to the open gym space. Either way, once you're inside, there's tons of fun to be had. Open play can be purchased online for $20 for two hours of playtime. I love the activities they have for the kiddos and there's a separate play space for the tinier ones. There plenty of space to sit, chat, and there's WiFi available if you need to bring your laptop. It's bright, lively, and a wonderful addition to the area.

I threw a party here for my 6-year-old and want to share some observations, the good with the…read morenot-so-good. let's start with the positive: Boomerang is super-well laid out, with tons of different play areas for the little ones. the private-party rooms are also neat, giving events a feeling of intimacy--where kids can run in and out of the party room and the play areas. I also really enjoyed how Boomerang customizes the party atmosphere with photos projected on the screen, although the practice of bringing a thumb drive is antiquated and should be updated to facilitate emailed or uploaded photos. What was odd for me is Boomerang's policy of "not bringing in outside food" when the staff apparently orders from outside sources like a pizza place. If that's the stated policy, how about giving guests the option of ordering from a specific place they favor? alternatively, having a number of "preferred vendors" might be a way to give party-throwers more of a choice. I got the impression, which was wrong, that Boomerang had some sort of in-house kitchen service, which I understand adds an added layer of complexity to any business. For our party, the pizza joint delivery was late and we had to wait for the food to arrive. The staff at Boomerang was really nice, and I felt bad for our room attendant who seemed overworked and stressed. I tipped her $40 to try and thank her for the effort. With some pointed areas of improvement, all-in-all I'm VERY glad we have Boomerang as a resource to work out "the wiggles" of our kids.

Since his birthday was coming up, we decided to take him to Boomerang to celebrate and figured we would go early on a Sunday morning in hopes that it wouldn't be too crowded. Ohhhhh how wrong we were.... Located just off Amsterdam (near Piedmont Park), we arrived 7 minutes after they opened and the parking lot was absolutely full of kids and parents and I immediately thought maybe this was a bad idea. Luckily there is plenty of free parking so after searching for a bit, we were able to find a spot and walked up for our adventure. When we walked, in the line was wrapped around the area where you place your belongings. We placed our shoes in the cubbies and there was a nice young man going to those of us waiting in line holding an iPad asking if we had completed the waiver that necessary to play. He also let us know that he could assist us with completing the waiver on the iPad he had or he gave further direction regarding using the QR code posted on the wall near the entrance area. The line moved pretty quickly and we paid. The young girl at the front seemed a little all over the place with so many people but she was kind while interacting with my husband and let us know she would need to stamp all of our hands in the event we wanted to leave and come back since admission (I think $16 per child and the accompanying adult is free but any other adult with that child is $6) allows you to leave and come back if needed. I liked that there was a gate to both the entrance and exit of the play area which seemed to be good for keeping little wayward children from bolting out the building. This place was soooo much fun and my 4 year old had an absolute blast. There were several different areas for the kiddos to play with...an inflatable slide, a light up dance floor, an obstacle course, ball pit, huge interactive game screen, and an area for toddlers. I was able to snag a spot near the dance floor in the middle of the play area so I was able to keep an eye on him and allow him the opportunity to just run around and be a kiddo. I liked that someone was doing a sweep of the area s and cleaning every 30 mins or so. They do not have tons of food options but you are able to purchase snacks and drinks while there but no outside food is allowed. Overall a wonderful first visit and we will definitely be back!
