A nice clean and highly professional environment. Ample staffing of nurses who are employed, not referred from an agency.

To the extent there is any "care" offered, it is provided begrudgingly and with indifference. Futrue Care attaches its patients social security payments and, although it is supposed give patients a portion of the social security payments, it does not This is where an old person can count on dying from the lack of care, indifference and a miserably depressive environment. You must be an advocate for yourself and especially your elders. The newer doctors or inexperienced doctors are too busy pointing fingers instead of remembering their oath. When they want to get rid of you, they put the not so good staff on rotation of your care. Unsure what the expected outcome they are looking for?!? For those that were good, they were awesome, unfortunately there's no real middle with these folks. Just make sure to be attentive to what is being done and said. It won't be hard to pick up those who are capable and those who are not!!

I witnessed the love and care which the staff gives to my mother and brother. For my mother I will…read moregive the simple example. Mom is having trouble eating. The staff could leave her to get her nutrition from a feeding tube, but they take time to encourage her and feed her. I saw a nurse run to get her a soothing cream for knee which is in pain. The little things are also significant. We left some nail polish, with no instructions and someone has been polishing her nails. For my brother I saw him have an incident and staff helped him up from the floor, which wasn't easy and held his hand and calmed him. I have seen bad staff, but not at Levindale.

There are not enough choices in healthcare for the management of Levindale to behave as badly as…read morethey do. If it were possible to give zero or one stars, I would not hesitate to do so. I think highly of my doctor Janet Conway. They had a few good physical therapists and nurses. Laura my Nurse Practicioner was very good. Kristin my PT was good. Dr. Zhou cared. The Director of Nurses Shirell did not want to give my infusions of Zosyn as directed. I was given shorter infusions and higher doses. They got prescriber permission. Shirell said, "if you needed four hour infusions you should've stayed Sinai." What a nasty person. My Neutropene count dropped dangerously low due to the Zosyn. I was put on what are called Neutropenic Precautions. What that meant was that anybody entering my room was to wear a mask. One person wore what looked to me as a lay-person like PPE. I could not fight infection. I was to go to the ER with a temperature above 100.4 degrees. I was not weight-bearing. I needed help from a tech to toilet. The tech was supposed to hand me, sani-wipes. I only had 60° of mobility in my right arm. I would wipe myself from knee to waste on both sides while standing at the walker. The tech started jiggling the box. I said to the tech, a woman named Sandra, "Are you making fun of me?" Sandra took off her mask and got into my face. She was not even social distancing. She yelled, "Are you making fun of me? Are you making fun of me? Are you making fun of me?" She proceeded to verbally abuse me. I have never been so frightened. Nobody should fear the professional staff or anybody else lin a place where he or she is there to heal. I went to the site administrator Sharon Hendricks. Executives are typically identified by first and last name. They are not restaurant servers. They are not retail clerks. Sometimes I think better of restaurant servers and clerks than I do of executives. Sharon apologized by email and said that she would have her team look into it. When I followed up, they said they did not discuss disciplinary matters. They should've self-reported to Maryland's Office of Healthcare Quality. Sandra should've been reported to the Board of Nursing. I am lactose intolerant. They ran out of the lactose tablets. I could not have my food or medication for 15 hours. They are not doing their jobs. The Director of Nurses Shirell, the nasty one who yelled at me in my own room which while I was there was my home was supposed to send me bandages when I discharged. Sharon told her to do that. And she didn't do that because she doesn't care. Why is Shirrell working in healthcare. Levindale is supposed to provide case management and that means advocating against insurance. They would not do that for me because I am no longer on site. I wanted them to assist with insurance claims and advocating for claims that were incurred on site. These people are awful. They want to mess up, dump it on the patient, and ask me to private pay. Pay these people. Never! The Levindale management team replaced the Hyppocratic Oath with, "Bleed em' dry, and let em' die." My physician Janet Conway is outstanding. One doctor said to me, "You don't like hospitals. I don't like hospitals and I'm a doctor. Do what I do with my own care. Go for the doctor and put up with everyone else." These people milk that. Patients are people. Patient Relations seldom gets back to me. When they do, they say I am using my paralegal background to bully them with the law. Good. Patients are defenseless. These people take advantage of us. People go into healthcare for good reasons. There is something called the LCR, effect. I will not write out the name. Named after the adversary fallen from Heaven. There are not enough choices in healthcare in Maryland for the Levindale team to behave as badly as they do. My plan is a Medicare advantage plan. There's something called the First Amendment. No retaliation. Pursuant to HIPAA Iyou may defend yourselves publicly. "Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants." Brandeis.

Meadow Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is a medical facility I had a loved one admitted…read moreto following an inpatient hospital admission for post stroke rehabilitation and medical care. However, based on the experience and patient outcome I cannot honestly recommend this facility for after stroke care. 1. Nursing staff is not friendly/approachable or empathic to family members concerns or simple requests for patient updates during visits. Their language, facial expressions and speaking tone is that of annoyance and inconveniences. And nursing staff residing at the nursing station ignore visitors; they do not acknowledge or greet their visitors. 2. Nursing tends to place calls to the patient family members for non-emergency situations at late hours of day (after 11:00 PM) to inform they are documenting their notes for test results which creates panic. 3. Patient care is not proactive, and the medical staff responds reactively when presented with patient status concerns. Example, running blood work when family members note the patient appears lethargic and non-responsive. Or, when a support staff member makes note of a patient's condition to the medical staff who doesn't follow-up. 4. Patient's that are non-ambulatory or become non-ambulatory are left for hours to sit or lie in the urine and facies that causes a break down in the skin that evenly leads to bed sores. 5. "Family Meetings" within for first 30-day stay of a patient's admission is finance based and not a medical update of the patient's status of improve or decline. During this meeting any type of medical update is provided. As a matter of fact, if a patient is admitted for a 90-day admission, there is no family meeting that involves a consult with the physicians or nursing staff present. Only a family meeting at least two weeks before a patient's expectant discharge date that includes the auxiliary staff, i.e. rehab, social worker, pastoral care, financial officer. nutrition, etc. 6. Patient items may be stolen/lost from the patient's room such a clothing, phone charges. 7. In my experience (there is so much to say regarding the care received for my loved one), my family was given the false hope that our family member was stable enough to discharge home and would require additional home care nursing, physical therapy and a nutritional high caloric diet for the significant weight loss for continued care. Sadly, the outcome was not a positive one.
