I was intrigued by some fluffy pancake videos on Instagram and am easily lured in by unique looking desserts. I felt I was taking some chance since I was unable to find a menu on their social media and they don't have a menu but I thought it was worth the chance.
Inside looks like the barest of bare decor. Everything is white tables and white hard, chairs. The ceiling was unfinished like when you go into big warehouses. It wasn't a very inviting space. The menu was small, 6 pancakes with different toppings and some drink options. The pancakes were also on the expensive side for what you get (2 pancakes and some toppings).
You can see into the kitchen but they don't make the fluffy pancakes which could have been fun. Despite there not being a lot of customers, the pancakes took forever even though the only thing they serve is pancakes. I can't imagine how they do things when it's crowded. They also initially brought out someone else's order, we objected, she just brought it to the next table. It just seemed like there was inefficiencies in the process.
As for the pancakes themselves: I got strawberry nutella. The pancakes were good, especially when scooped with a strawberry slice and whipped cream. The topping of chopped hazelnuts was a very minimal, light coating. It was nice. It just was not worth the price paid. It might be tempting to get these pancakes as a breakfast, but they currently open at noon, so it's only intended for a dessert or snack. I think they are missing out on a more sensible market.
I would not come back, but they were decently tasty. I just think the empty-ish environment, the long wait, the high price, and no chance to watch the pancake creation was a lacking experience. read more
