I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Chuck Toben. I just wish every vet treated my dog the way…read morehe does. My dog is geriatric, medically complex, previously abused and used to hate but is now just pretty avoidant of most men. Within the first couple of visits my dog leaned on Dr. Toben's legs while my dog was feeling weak....I was absolutely floored. Dr. Toben has gone out of his way to help my dog, last minute, over the phone, with appointments, and has been just so insightful and helpful in a way so many other vets cannot do. Most primary care vets get super overwhelmed w/ my dog's health problems, as a lot of my dog's health issues have unknown causes. I went to see many primary care docs in the valley who I really could not trust w/ my dog, or tolerate myself (over 5). Dr. Toben has never even once snapped at me or my dog, gotten overwhelmed (in a way that was even remotely perceivable anyway), has never tried to nickle & dime me, and most importantly, has never given up on my dog. I just cannot place a value on Chuck's honest approach to animal care and kindness towards my dog and me. Chuck will keep trying, trying different things, is always open to suggestions, knows when to sort of make firmer recommendations and take control and when to give space for feedback. He's crazy smart, he knows about so many of my dog's issues in a way that usually only internal med docs seem to be able to discuss, and he is consistently genuinely compassionate and humane. Dr. Toben is just basically a freaking giant brained angel. My only regret is that I'm not loaded so I can't make a massive donation to this clinic. This is exactly what I think all vets should be like, I of course have been really very picky and have a dog w/ a very difficult medical status, and I definitely 1,000% recommend him. Chuck is the first doc I've strongly recommended, by the way, after seeing 2 primaries in MO, 5 specialists in MO, 2 docs in Mexico, 3 internal med docs in AZ, and more than 5 primary care vets in AZ....again, my dog is a very difficult medical case, and Dr. Toben is absolutely the doc for the hardest cases....and thank God that there are vets out there like Chuck who are so good for our poor beloved pets who were previously abused b/c these animals are so sorely in need of kindness and quality care. I'm eternally grateful for this clinic and Dr. Toben.

Not a fan. They just try to get as much $ out of you. Some…read moreof the vet techs were super nice while other's weren't. Will not be going back due to the owner vet cus she likes to go overboard on stuff and have you spend $$$. Also the place is dark and not welcoming.

Phenomenal veterinary hospital. The staff is incredible and the vet is awesome. They are super affordable and the quality of care is immense. I know vet visits can be stressful for pets but our dog is always happy to come because the staff is always so nice and friendly to him. The vet is professional and has tons of experience. She will recommend the best course of treatment for your pet and give you great tips to improve their life quality. When our dog was a puppy, he had a ton of stomach and appetite issues, the vet took great care of him and even recommended a new food brand to help with his appetite which worked incredibly well. Our dog still eats this brand. The staff tends to remember pets by name which makes it feel like they truly care and listen. They are currently doing curbside appointments only for regular check ups, vaccines, and other regular appointments but will of course let an owner in if your dog is very sick or needs specific type of treatments. We've had X-Rays done here too and the vet did an incredible job of explaining what was seen and providing a treatment plan to help our dog get better, which he did! We love this location and our corgi does too. The outside is an old building but looks can be deceiving. They are nice and clean inside and have fixed up their parking lot too which was great. We have been coming here from his first check up and vaccines with us at 8 weeks old to now that he is 4 and don't plan on changing for his lifespan if we can help it. A truly thoughtful and caring bunch that are invested in your pets' health and wellbeing.

Way Past Due for a Review, But…read more... I've been taking my fur babies, Marty & Luci, to Smelly Dog for 7 + years and I've always had a pleasant experience. They have always had outstanding communication in answering calls, returning vm's, texting when ready for pickup after a groom. I like that they seem to be able to fit in my fur babies, sometimes on short notice. I will highlight my most recent experience in taking our newest addition, Lulu, for her second groom. Lulu had one previous groom here when she was 5 months old and this would be her second groom at 6 months old. We were unsure how she would react in coming in for the groom, since I know she wasn't easy on her first go around. But, to our delight she was wagging her little nub of a tail and excited, and I relieved. We weren't able to achieve a little top knot sitch for her on her first groom because she couldn't sit still enough. This was something I really hoped we could achieve on this 2nd groom. So, when Ty greeted us we went over length, face shape and a top knot, please! Ty was very warm, patient and most importantly calm cuz our little Lulu can so fidgety and high energy! We felt we left her in the best hands, but due to her high energy and degree of difficulty sometimes with being still, still unsure of what to expect. When I received a ready for pickup text notification, we headed over to pick up our lil fur baby. When she was brought out and we laid eyes on her, I was beyond happy to see Ty's work of art! She looked absolutely precious, top knot and all! We couldn't have been more grateful to all the staff, and it's reassuring that Lulu, telling us with her little nub, feels the same

He had skin lesiona that were bursted when she groomer him. I'm so over the lack of accountability. Owner is "telling me" these were old scabs. My dog had raised skin tag not scabs. These scabs came from those tags being cut and after a few days trying to heal. The same pictures I submitted to animal cruelty. Beware of the lack of accountability and genuineness of the owner.
