Same review I left on Google. This place is like if a frat house and a sports bar had an illegitimate child. The staff seemed lackadasical and indifferent, and not a single one had a mask on. The food is truly bad. I had a smothered pork burrito, which is nearly impossible to screw up. The meat was tough, and the "chili" it was smothered in didn't resemble any pork chili I have ever seen. It was gross. My friend got tacos with cilantro rice and beans. The rice was horrible. The tacos were at least edible, but not good. He threw the beans out. All of it is grotesquely overpriced. Being from Texas, I'm always a fan of finding Fuzzy's while traveling. This was the worst Fuzzy's that I've ever been in. The young man working the counter was pleasant and made conversation. The building itself was nice and newer looking. However, it looked like it could use a deep cleaning. There were flies visibly flying around and landing near food. The wait time on the food wasn't terrible, but longer than most Fuzzy's. The food was terrible. The rice was way over cooked and almost crunchy. This was visible as soon as we got our plates. The fajita plate looked like it had been through a hurricane before it got to the table. I know running a restaurant isn't easy, but if this doesn't improve this place will go out of business. If you've even considered stopping here, STOP! Keep on driving! There are much better options in Hays. Food is just okay. Inside service is horrendous. A little tip for the people working the register, look and listen when someone is ordering, you won't have to constantly say what? Restroom was filthy, which wouldn't have bothered me if I hadn't already eaten and watched an employee get done dropping a deuce and walking out without even looking at the sink. Let me preface this review by saying that I have been going to Fuzzy's in other cities for years. I also know that some restaurants are suffering severe staffing shortages that can affect food and wait times. In this case, the restaurant was maybe 1/8 full on an early Sunday evening and there were 5 or 6 people that I could see behind the line in the kitchen. We ordered the food to go as we had been on the road all day and just wanted to get back to our hotel. We were the only people waiting for food to go, so I got nervous as 3 to go boxes sat on the pass for 10-15 minutes. A full 25 minutes after we ordered, we finally got all of our food. I pointed out to one of the staff that half our food would surely be cold as it was sitting on the pass dying for several minutes. The employee explained that a different cook is responsible for each dish, separately, so that's just how they always put their food out, piecemeal. I explained that many restaurants get all the meals on the same ticket ready at the same time so everyone in the party has a hot meal together. I was told that is not how it works at this particular restaurant. We left, got back to the hotel, and my daughter discovered that her nachos consisted of about 1/2 a handful of chips with maybe a quarter cup of unmelted shredded cheese sitting atop in a small pile of an unappetizing mess. I took it back (while my quesadilla developed icicles at the hotel). They said they forgot the queso, which they normally put in a cup on the side. So the nachos are really just chips and queso. I blame myself. I saw the previous bad Yelp reviews (one had been written only 3 hours before we decided to go), but the kids love Fuzzy's so I thought I'd roll the dice. Look, if they had too few employees, I could I understand. But this place had employees and cooks everywhere. This is incompetent management, pure and simple. Quite frankly, the brisket quesadilla I ordered was cold, (no surprise) and the meat had been cooked quite some time ago as much of the brisket was tough and dry. The consensus in our party was that this is not what we have come to expect from Fuzzy's through the years. Very disappointing. read more

I was so excited to try this place out. When you walk in the environment is so much fun, great decorations and many tv's for watching sports. The menu looked great, but looks can be deceiving. It was some of the worst microwaved food I've ever eaten. I'm from San Diego and we have some of the busiest little moms and pops taco shops and they wouldn't dream of using a microwave. Tacos, burritos, salsa's, beans and rice all these things should be fresh. I asked for salsa and they were confused and gave me some hot sauce in a packet!!! I was so embarrassed for the owners of this place that this is the food their kitchen is putting out. I find that if food is good people will come back no matter what the environment may look like. Stopped by on Friday night March 26 for the first time after seeing the bright lights and sign coming off I-70. When I first walked in I was impressed by the store layout and the place was really busy with good music and people having a fun time. A staff member behind the bar called over to me to make sure I knew the scoop and how to order food etc. I ended up sitting at the bar and eating and having one of the frozen margaritas...and there are endless choices for those. I kept it simple with the Whiskey Coke one and no complaints there. The chips and queso were excellent and the burrito I had was way good too but honestly too big for me to finish so I took it to go. The service was surprisingly on point despite how busy they were, the people I sat next to were friendly (from Oklahoma) and the food was tasty even though it was a little different than I was expecting. If you are traveling through and enjoy a place with good food, drinks and energy, Id recommend it. read more
