Fuzzy's turned out to be a slightly less-good version of Torchy's in every way. Service was the same setup; you order at the front and get brought your food. Their tacos are tiny and their tortillas are pre-made and stale tasting. The shrimp taco had about all of 3-4 mini shrimp! The sauces on the tacos aren't bad but the tacos aren't the good size as you might expect. Their salsa is decent but their queso is a bit average with a premade taste. I ate lunch there for the first time in a long time, and forgot how good their food is. I didn't get a pic, but the grilled chicken salad came in a huge bowl, the avocado ranch complemented everything quite well, and the service was excellent! I really enjoyed the open air seating, even on a hot day. They had plenty of fans to keep the air moving, so we were comfortable the whole time. Nothing incredibly special, but kids ate free that day, so it was pretty cheap for the four of us to eat! $30 for 3 adults and kid. I will say the restaurant really needs a deep clean. It's been awhile since I stopped in Fuzzy's and the new layout with open bar windows is AWESOME! the pet-friendly patio all the way around the building is a nice touch, I can't wait to bring my dog on SFA game days to watch on the big screens. On Sunday I wasn't greeted at the register by a cashier, but James in the kitchen welcomed me into the establishment. Once the cashier took my order the food came out fresh and looked so good I forgot to take a photo before eating it all. Everyone was friendly and the dishwasher helped bus my table with a smile. I've been in a few times and had excellent service previously, prices are good, and food is decent. I don't know what has changed in the last week or two, but there are no longer any paper menus, or any menus of any nature. So if you wish to order food, you have to go and review at the menu tv's. Okay, fine. I ordered, sat at the bar, and my food arrived. I asked for utensils, and the bartender told me I would have to go get them. I've never had to go get my utensils in a full service restaurant before, let alone in this joint. I don't know what has changed, but something has, and I'm not sure I will be back. And I have brought big groups into this joint, but the things I've seen today have made me question whether I want to return and spend my money to have to go and fetch my own fork. read more

Local taco shop located near the SFA campus, and has a bunch of people stopping by on their lunch break. I was going on a trip to Louisiana, and stopped by for a quick bite to eat. It's really spacious inside, along with a patio and a walk-up window if you wish to order to go. I sat at the bar and I was impressed to learn that during the week they do have specials on some drinks (if you're into that). $2 domestics on Thursday's, and other specials during the week. If they have any specials on premiums, that would be for me! The food is alright, but not my favorite. The bean burrito I had was a little much, and could've had more meat on it. The tacos are not the best either, but I think they are nice for a quick lunch during the afternoon. Plus they're pretty cheap, so you could splurge on four or five, depending on one's appetite. The staff is friendly, and will frequently check up on you, especially if you're sitting at the bar. It's also a fun spot to watch a sports game, instead of trying local sports bars. Not that the sports bars in the Nac are bad or anything, but I was impressed I found a college hangout spot that everyone can enjoy. read more

The service has gone really downhill and the food quality follows that trend. The so-called manager Cassandra Barragan, actually cussed at us for complaining about the super dry shredded chicken. We offered to pay more for fajita or some fresh cooked but she walked away with our food. Another server returned later with our same food looking iffy. The other server did get a reorder in and fresh chicken was served. With many stares from staff we decided not to try the "special" chicken. We did have one mix drink but after the one, the bartender said the manager said not to serve us anymore. It is ok because we don't think we will be back. I mean I don't think they actually want buisness from anyone given that friends are having similar experiences. Tried to contact corporate to let them know about the conditions at there location but no response yet. read more

Quick stop in on my way through town during a road trip. Super nice people behind the counter, quick time from ordering to eating, the tacos were very tasty (one fish, one shrimp), and the price can't be beat. I really wanted to eat more but hate feeling full while trying to drive long distances. But I could imagine spending an afternoon here to watch games and graze. Come check it out! I usually love fuzzys. I ate there two weeks ago, and we sat on the patio. I ordered drinks, and food. No mask and no issue. Tonight I went back to enjoy some tacos and a beer on the patio. Well now you can't even order from the window outside without a mask. (From literally 6 feet away or more! What a joke, everyone outside did not have a mask on. Even one of the managers walked up and talked to the bar tender without wearing a mask. Needless to say I won't be back. I can understand the mask policy inside, but not outside. Not to mention the little girl that I'm guessing was the manager, was very rude about it. The only reason it's not a 1 star review is because one of the off duty managers offered me a mask so I could stay, he's a good guy and runs the place much better. Had he been working this review would never have happened in the first place. The owner has replied with a policy change regarding ordering outside! I have been going to fuzzys for several years and I am good friends with one of their cooks. Juan is one of the hardest working,loyal and skilled cooks I have ever met. I went in today and he was off. To my dismay as usual when he is not working the food is very sub par Plus the "manager " or whatever she is was a snotty bitch. When I left, I said when Juan is not working your food goes downhill, can't even compare to what he puts out. She yells at me that he is doing it wrong. Just finished a work schedule and decided to order a $45 plus meal from this place and it takes me 30 minutes to drive home. Once I arrived and I looked through the bags that they have given me at checkout. come to realize there was no main dish from the order that I placed, meaning there was no tacos and no rice. all adding up to $40 and the only thing that came out of it was chips and queso. after calling the store and explaining the situation that just happened and instead voiding the complete ticket for good terms, they still charge me for the chips and queso like if that's going to serve a purpose for me and my girls dinner. I owe this place an update after a year (and I've tried it every now and then since last year). I've been underwhelmed each time, however, last Sunday my kiddo wanted some nachos so I sucked it up and agreed to go. This place was absolutely packed for Sunday lunch. Families, students, couples - every type of person was here. My husband and I were very surprised with their Sunday drink specials. Very cheap Bloody Mary's in a glass or a pitcher size. Their coke machine was "broken" so half the drink weren't working (including water). When we alerted the manager he said it was going to take 10 minutes to reset the machine and he wasn't going to do it. Umm.. okay. So we have to go to the bar just to get water. Our food (tacos and nachos) came out within 5 minutes of ordering despite their busyness. My taco had the wrong protein in it - let them know and was immediately provided a new taco without complaint. None of our food had a sour smell or taste as previously experienced here. I was pleasantly surprised and felt compelled to update my experiences here. The restaurant also smelled better than previous visits. It was cleaner and employees were actually actively cleaning tables. Good job on the improvements! read more

Walked in to pick-up breakfast tacos and the person working the register was not wearing a mask, nor was anyone enforcing the policy they clearly had posted on the door. Furthermore, she went back and forth to and from the kitchen never putting on gloves or a mask.
